Your ABS, brake, and traction control warning lights all came on, and a diagnostic code C2200 indicates a faulty ABS module. The module is currently unavailable from Jeep dealers and aftermarket suppliers due to a national shortage, leaving your vehicle without a working anti-lock braking system. The fix would involve obtaining and installing a replacement ABS module once parts become available.

Your 2013 Jeep Wrangler may have a faulty ABS module that controls your anti-lock braking system. Mopar parts suppliers have this component on extended backorder, sometimes for 2-3 years, making it difficult to find a replacement. Despite this being a widespread known issue, there hasn't been an official recall issued. Fixing this problem will require obtaining and installing a replacement ABS module, which may involve a long wait time or sourcing from alternative suppliers.

ABS Module Failure and no replacement part available for this vehicle. After researching this issue, it should be a recall based on the highly excessive number of complaints and failures on this part. Has been ongoing for over 4 years and dealership says that Jeep Chrysler is aware of the issue and cannot get the part.

The components in the N28 / NHTSA 13V-234 recall did exactly what they were recalled for. My check engine light came on a few months back so I brought it to be diagnosed at a parts store and diagnostic scanner listed P codes for possible O2 sensor. I brought my 2013 Jeep Wrangler Sport into a Jeep dealership(#1) in Friday, November 1st, 2024 and upon the first inspection, they found a couple of issues and printed an quote for $127.33, I signed off on that quote. Then another hour or 2 passed by, they brought me a revised quote for over $600, which I was still okay with and signed off to have repaired. Then they offered to bring me home after hours of sitting in the lobby. The next day, I get a link to review the revised inspection and it was over $2400. The engine charge was over $1900 caused by the N28 recall. I asked them to just do the recall because I could not afford it the remaining. Upon looking into forums, documents & diagrams researching online specific to the N28 recall, I reached out to the manufacturer quite a few times by phone and email. I was working with someone who I thought would be helpful, since he suggested I call a different Jeep Dealership (#2) Service Dept. and speak with a mechanic there. I spoke with a mechanic at #2 and sent #1's inspection report, and #2 dealership's mechanic confirmed the issues are connected & caused by the recall. The manufacture's contact (that I thought was more helpful than the ones I spoke with prior) was emailing me. I reported back to the contact on November 14th, 2024 what dealership #2 said and he never responded. I followed up for a response on November 21st, 2024. I still have no response as of January 30th, 2025.

THE DEALER DID A FLUSH OF THE SYSTEM BUT THE HEAT WAS ONLY TEMPORARILY FIXED, LESS A WEEK. RETURNED TO DEALER, REPLACED THE HEATER CORE WHICH HAS RETURNED THE HEAT TO THE JEEP.

FROM WHAT I'VE READ IN JEEP FORUMS THOUSANDS OF JEEP OWNERS ARE HAVING THIS SAME ISSUE. HEATER CORE IS GETTING CLOGGED AND AFFECTING THE HEAT OUTPUT OF JEEP. OUR JEEP HAS ROUGHLY 112000 MILES ON AND WE HAVE BEEN HAVING THIS PROBLEM SINCE THE JEEP HAS HAD AROUND 50000 MILES. JEEP WOULD NOT COVER UNDER WARRANTY BECAUSE WE WERE OVER 36000 MILES. I HAVE BLEW OUT HEATER CORE FLUSHING IT. THAT HELPS ALITTLE BIT BUT HEAT IS STILL NO WERE AS HOT AS IT SHOULD BE. REPLACING HEATER CORE INVOLVES PULLING ENTIRE DASH OUT OR CUTTING DASH SUPPORTS TO REMOVE HEATER CORE TO REPLACE JUST TO HAVE NEW HEATER CORE CLOG AGAIN. SOMETHING IN SYSTEM IS CAUSING HEATER CORES IN THESE JEEPS TO CLOGG ULTIMATELY CAUSING HEAT AND DEFROST NOT TO WORK AND BLOW COLD AIR.

SWAY BAR DISCONNECT CONNECTOR HAS HEAVY CORROSION. WAS TOLD MY DEALER COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE RUBICON MODEL (SEE ATTACHED IMAGE). THIS IS THE ANNIVERSARY EDITION JEEP AND WAS VERY EXPENSIVE AND I WAS TOLD WHEN I PURCHASED IT THAT ALL PARTS WERE EXCELLENT LONG LAST PARTS NOW THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. HEATER CORE ISSUE - MYSELF AND MANY OTHER JEEP OWNERS HAVE REPORTED ISSUES WITH THE HEATER CORE CLOGGING. THIS IS NOT A NORMAL OCCURANCE IN ANY VEHICLE. THE REPAIRS ARE INVASIVE AND COSTLY (REMOVING STEERING COLUMN, DASH, CENTER CONSOLE, OVER $1000) OR DESTRUCTIVE IF DONE THE SHORT CUT WAY (CUTTING DASH/GLOVE BOX SUPPORTS TO REMOVE THE HEATER CORE). CHRYSLER CONTINUES TO PRETEND LIKE THIS ISSUE ISNT A RESULT OF SOME DESIGN FLAW. SO WE ARE FACED WITH SPENDING OVER A $1000, OR CUTTING A DASH SUPPORT OR DRIVING AROUND WITH NO HEAT OR TRADING OUR VEHICLES IN. IT TRULY BECOMES A SAFETY ISSUE WHEN DRIVING IN SNOW OR EXTREMELY COLD WEATHER AND YOUR WINDSHIELD ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE STARTS TO FREEZE UP.

ESC LIGHT CAME ON WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. AFTER THAT, THE BRAKES STARTED ON THEIR OWN AND I COULDN'T STEER. I WAS ABLE TO SLOWLY DRIVE TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY HAD TO FIX THE CLOCK SPRING. EVEN THOUGH THIS IS A KNOWN RECALL AND PROBLEM TO THE 2007-2010 JEEPS, THEY DIDN'T INCLUDE THE 2013 IN THE RECALL AND IT WAS OVER $600 OUT OF MY POCKET TO FIX.

TWICE MY VEHICLE'S ENGINE HAS SIMPLY TURNED OFF WHILE DRIVING. BOTH TIMES WERE AT LOW SPEEDS. THE FIRST TIME I WAS IN REVERSE IN A PARKING GARAGE. THE ENGINE SIMPLY STOPPED. ALL THE LIGHTS STILL REMAINED ON. I THOUGHT I MUST HAVE PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL BY MISTAKE, BUT HAVE HAD THIS CAR FOR 3 YEARS AND HAVE NEVER DONEE THAT BEFORE.. TURNED THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON AND WENT ON MY WAY. THERE WERE NO INDICATOR LIGHTS ON BEFORE OR AFTER THIS INCIDENT. THE NEXT DAY I WAS TURNING AT AN INTERSECTION AND THE CAR ENGINE AGAIN COMPLETELY SHUT OFF. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS AT ALL TO SHOW THE VEHICLE HAD AN ISSUE. AND THERE WAS NO WAY THIS WAS A MISTAKE ON MY END. THEN THE ENGINE WOULD NOT TURN OVER. I WAS STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF A TRAFFIC INTERSECTION. IT WAS NOT ON A MAIN ROAD, BUT STILL ON AN ACTIVE ROAD, WHERE IN THE SPAN OF 5 MINUTES 50 CARS MUST HAVE DRIVEN BY. IT WAS DARK OUT AND I AM LUCKY THERE WAS GOOD LIGHTING IN THE AREA. SOMEONE HELPED ME TO PUSH THE CAR OUT OF THE INTERSECTION. ALL THE LIGHTS CONTINUED TO WORK. AFTER 20 MINUTES, THE CAR STARTED AGAIN. I BROUGHT THE CAR INTO THE DEALERSHIP TODAY. THEY TESTED THE VEHICLE AND FOUND NO CODES OR ERRORS THAT POPPED UP. THEY HAD NO IDEA WHAT TO RECOMMEND. BUT NOW I AM FEARFUL TO DRIVE MY CAR LESS I FIND MYSELF IN AN EVEN MORE PRECARIOUS SITUATION THAN BEFORE. THE FACT THAT THIS ISSUE IS UNIDENTIFIABLE IS UNACCEPTABLE. I HAVE NOTICES ON THE JEEP FORUMS SIMILAR ISSUES WITH ELECTRIC WINDOW NOT GOING DOWN. MY VEHICLE ALL 4 WINDOW ELECTRONICS DO NOT WORK AND THE DEALERS ARE TELLING ME THAT THE TIPM NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. WHEN READING, THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON ISSUE THAT NOBODY SEEMS TO WANT TO ADDRESS AS A COMMON DEFECT HOWEVER ITS PRETTY WIDE SPREAD. THE TPIM IS THE COMPLETE FUSE SYSTEM UNDER THE HOOD WHICH MAKES NO SENSE SINCE IT IS ONLY ONE PORTION OF THE ENTIRE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AND THIS PART THROUGH THE DEALER RUNS ABOUT $1000 PLUS INSTALLATION. SEEMS LIKE IT WOULD BE A PLUG AND PLAY ISSUE BUT NEVER THE LESS THE DEALER SAY THEY NEVER HEARD OF THIS ISSUE. READ THE FORUMS IT SEEMS TO BE A PRETTY CONSISTENT ISSUE NO MATTER WHAT MODEL. YET THE DEALER TELLS YOU TO TURN THE KEY ON AND OFF AND ALSO REMOVE THE BATTER CABLES TO FIX THIS ISSUE. SEEMS LIKE SOMETHING THEY ALREADY ALREADY KNOW ABOUT DONT YA THINK?

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS DIFFICULT TO DUPLICATE. THE FAILURE WAS PERSISTENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND OPENED A CASE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 60,000.

HEAT WILL SOMETIMES GET WARM ON DRIVER SIDE AFTER AN HOUR OF DRIVING. APPEARS TO BE RELATED TO STAR CASE S12307000008. THIS IS A WIDE SPREAD, KNOWN ISSUE, THAT IS VERY EXPENSIVE TO REPAIR. IT IS DANGEROUS AS WELL DUE TO ICE BUILD UP ON WINDSHIELD BECAUSE THERE IS NO DEFROST HEAT ON DRIVER SIDE.

OUR JEEP STARTED STALLING ON OCCASION ABOUT 10 MONTHS AGO WHEN SITTING IN TRAFFIC. RESTART WAS IMMEDIATE. IT PROGRESSIVELY STARTED HAPPENING MORE OFTEN. FOUR MONTHS AGO WE TOOK IT TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT THE DEALERSHIP. THEY REPLACED A WIRING HARNESS FOR THE FUEL PUMP AND A SPARK PLUG. IT DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. THEY REPLACED A VALVE BODY FOR THE TRANSMISSION. THAT DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. THEY REPLACED A ROCKER ARM AND MULTIPLE OTHER PARTS AND STILL IT HAS NOT FIXED THE PROBLEM. ON SEPTEMBER 29, 2017, IT STALLED WHILE IN MOTION AT 30 MPH ON A CITY STREET. MY DAUGHTER WAS ALONE WHILE DRIVING IT AND SAT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD FOR 15 MINUTES BEFORE IT WOULD RESTART. WE HAVE TALKED WITH A MECHANIC THAT DOES NOT WORK FOR THE DEALERSHIP AND HE DOES NOT KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM COULD BE. NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW WHAT IS CAUSING THE PROBLEM AND IT COULD HAVE BEEN VERY DANGEROUS IF SHE HAD BEEN DRIVING AT A FASTER RATE OF SPEED OR IF THERE HAD BEEN MORE TRAFFIC. 2013 JEEP WRANGLER UNLIMITED RUBICON 4X4 VEHICLE STALLS WHILE DRIVING AND THEN WILL NOT START AGAIN FOR 4-5 MINUTES. THIS HAPPENS AT ALL SPEEDS AND HAS PUT US IN SOME VERY UNSAFE SITUATIONS. DEALER HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND A SOLUTION AND CANNOT RECREATE THE PROBLEM EVEN THOUGH IT HAPPENS TO US MULTIPLE TIMES PER WEEK. YESTERDAY IT TOOK ME 20 MINUTES TO DRIVE 4 MILES BECAUSE IT STALLED THREE TIMES. I SEE BLOGS WITH MANY OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE BUT STILL NO RECALL. THE DEALERS DO NOT KNOW HOW OR DO NOT WANT TO FIX AND MEANWHILE CONSUMERS ARE STUCK WITH UNRELIABLE, UNSAFE VEHICLES.

MY 2013 JEEP WRANGLER STARTED HAVING SENSOR PROBLEMS WITHIN A YEAR AFTER I BOUGHT IT BRAND NEW!! NOW AFTER THREE YEARS AND MANY SENSORS BEING REPLACED ALONG WITH SENSOR WIRING IT'S NOT DRIVEABLE AND DEALERSHIP MECHANICS CAN NOT FIX IT OR FIGURE OUT WHAT'S WRONG. THE ENGINE LIGHT ALONG WITH TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT STAYS ON, THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WILL NOT SHIFT GOOD, IT HAS TROUBLE CRANKING, AND CUTS OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD WHICH IS VERY DANGEROUS AND CAN CAUSE AN ACCIDENT!!! IN THE LAST MONTH I'VE HAD 4 SOFTWARE UPDATES DONE, REPLACED THE ABS MODULE, REPLACED CAM SHAFT SENSOR, AND WHEEL SPEED SENSORS, BUT AFTER I PICK IT UP FROM THE DEALERSHIP I DRIVE IT A FEW MILES AND LIGHTS COME BACK ON AND IT STARTS RUNNING HORRIBLE AGAIN!! I'M PAYING FOR A VEHICLE YOU CAN'T EVEN DRIVE SO SOMETHING HAS GOT TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS!!! CHRYSLER SHOULD HAVE TO BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THESE CRAPPY JEEPS THEY ARE MAKING, AND MINE IS NOT THE ONLY ONE!!!

THE RADIATOR COOLING LINE RUBBED AGAINST THE AIR CONDITIONING CONDENSER, AND THE RUBBING CAUSED A HOLE WHICH EVACUATED THE A/C FLUID. THE FIX WAS TO REPLACE THE CONDENSER AND DISTANCE THE RADIATOR LINE SO THAT IT WAS NO LONGER TOUCHING THE CONDENSER. THE JEEP HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT, AND IT SEEMS LIKE THIS WAS A FACTORY DEFECT. THE JOB COSTS OVER $700 AT THE JEEP DEALERSHIP.

I HAVE CALLED THEM MULTIPLE TIMES TRYING TO SET UP AN APPOINTMENT AND ALL THAT I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO DO IS LEAVE VOICE MAILS WITH MY NAME AND PHONE NUMBER AND HAVE NOT GOT A CALL BACK. WHEN I TRIED TALKING TO THE DEALER MANAGER I WAS PUT ON HOLD FOR TEN MINUTES BEFORE I WAS TRANSFERRED BACK TO THERE SECRETARY, AT TIME TIME I SIMPLY DISCONNECTED THE LINE BECAUSE APPARENTLY THEY DONT HAVE TIME TO HELP A CUSTOMER WITH A SAFETY RECALL. I BELIEVE THIS IS A TERRIBLE WAY TO DO BUSINESS AND WILL BE LOOKING FOR A NEW JEEP DEALER TO HANDLER MY MAINTENANCE. *TR
