Your Jeep's frame has experienced severe rust that weakened critical welds over time. Starting in 2003, rust damaged the transmission skid welds and body step welds in the frame, and by 2010, three of the four rear axle control arms broke loose from the frame, causing your brake lines to fail while driving. You managed to stop using the parking brake and downshifting, but this situation could have caused a serious accident if the rear axle had completely separated. The frame design lacks proper drainage, causing rust to develop from the inside out.

Your vehicle's frame is experiencing significant rust and corrosion, causing structural failure. The upper and lower control arms have torn away from the frame, and the body has sagged through its mounting points, requiring costly repairs. This represents a serious structural integrity issue that will continue to worsen without intervention.

Your Jeep has a hole in the frame that was drilled by the manufacturer to access the rear sway arm bolt. This hole allows water, dirt, and salt to enter the frame, causing internal rust and corrosion that weakens the structure. If the frame fails while driving, it could be a serious safety issue. The frame may need to be sealed, inspected for rust damage, or reinforced to prevent further deterioration.

Your Jeep's chassis frame design allows water and dirt to enter but not drain out properly, causing them to collect inside the frame and rust it from the inside out. This internal rust can gradually weaken the structural integrity of your vehicle's frame. Addressing this may require drilling drainage holes, applying rust treatment to the interior frame, or installing protective coatings to prevent further corrosion.

While replacing the shocks on your Jeep, you discovered multiple areas of rust and corrosion on the frame that were severely deteriorated — so bad that you could push through them with light finger pressure. Your frame needed professional repair work at multiple locations to address the rust damage.

I AM IN CANADA, HOWEVER THIS INFORMATION APPILIES TO ALL WRANGLERS AND YOUR REPLY BY PHONE WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THE FRONT SEAT BELT, IN ITS UNUSED, RESTING STATE WITH NO PASSENGERS, OVERLAPS THE DORR STRIKER/ LATCH MECHANISM. IF YOU CLOSE THE DOOR ON THE VEHICLE, YOU SLAM THE SEAT BELT IN THE MECHANISM AND TEAR HOLES IN THE SEAT BELT. IT IF THE SAME FOR BOTH OF THE FRONT SEAT BELTS. I HAVE INFORMED THE DEALER, WHO HAS NOT YET REPLACED THE SEAT BELTS, WHICH ARE NOW TORN, AS THEY WOULD GET TORN AGAIN THE SECOND YOU CLOSED THE DOOR. THIS IS A VERY VERY MAJOR SAFETY DEFECT, AND IT IS AMAZING THAT IT HAS ACUTALLY HAPPENED. PLEASE LOOK INTO IT.. I WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW BECAUSE I THINK THAT THE DEALER WILL COVER IT UP AND PEOPLE WILL DEFINETLY GET HURT FROM THIS. I KNOW THAT I'M IN CANADA, BUT PLEASE CALL ME ANYWAYS, COLLECT IF YOU HAVE TO. ALSO, DON'T GIVE MY NAME TO JEEP... I DON'T WANT THEM TO SOMEHOW BLACKLIST ME... JUST GO AND TAKE A LOOK AT ANY NEW WRANGLER AND YOU'LL BE SURPRISED. THANKS
