WHILE IN MOTION, A CLUNKING NOISE WAS HEARD IN REAR END. INDEPENDENT GARAGE (ZELLER AUTO CENTER,616 MAIN ST., TORRINTON, CT. 06790, 860-489-0204) DIAGNOSED A RUSTED AND ROTTED REAR SUBFRAME. INTERNET CHECK REVEALED OTHER OWNERS OF THIS MODEL EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBEM. JEEP ISSUED AN EXTENDED WARRANTEE FOR 10 YEARS FROM PRODUCTION DATE. NO NOTICE TO VEHICLE OWNERS! CONTACTED JEEP (CASE #57633304) AND THEY ADVISED THAT EXTENDED WARRANTEE FOR THIS CAR EXPIRED ON 12/28/17 AND THEY WOULD NOT MAKE AN EXTENSION. THEY STATED THAT A RECALL WAS NOT NEEDED WHEN AN EXTENDED WARRANTEE WAS ISSUED. I THINK A RECALL IS NEEDED SO THAT OTHER OWNERS OF THIS VEHICLE CAN BE WARNED OF THE RUSTING SUBFRAME PROBLEM BEFORE AN ACCIDENT AND INJURIES OCCUR.
IN AUGUST 2018, I WAS INFORMED BY A REPUTABLE AUTO REPAIR SHOP THAT ANOTHER AUTO REPAIR SHOP THAT DID WORK ON MY VEHICLE LESS THAN A MONTH PRIOR, "TURNED OFF" THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. I WENT BACK TO THAT MECHANIC AND THEY ADVISED THAT IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO DO SO, BECAUSE ITS ALL IN ONE PANEL. ON 11/11/18, ALL EXTERIOR LIGHTS ON THE VEHICLE STOPPED WORKING. I WENT TO AUTO ZONE TO GET REPLACEMENT BULBS, BUT THEY ADVISED THAT THIS WAS AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM AND I SHOULD GO TO A MECHANIC. I HAVE ALREADY SPENT A FEW THOUSAND DOLLARS ON A 2008 JEEP COMPASS INCLUDING SUSPENSION WORK AND OTHER MAINTENANCE. I WAS JUST INFORMED ON 11/15/18 THAT THE TIPM IS OUT CAUSING THE ALL EXTERIOR LIGHTS TO NOT WORK AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. THE MECHANIC ADVISED THAT THIS IS A DEALER ONLY PROBLEM AND COULD COST ME UP TO $2000. RESEARCHING THIS ISSUE I FIND THAT THERE WAS A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT AGAINST CHRYSLER IN 2015. MY VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN. IN FACT, ALL RESEARCH SHOWS THAT THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS FOR THE 2008 JEEP COMPASS, HOWEVER THIS VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN INCLUDED IN ALL LAWSUITS. I WAS NOT CONTACTED BY ANYONE. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND NOW THE VEHICLE CANNOT BE DRIVEN UNTIL THE SAFETY ISSUE HAS BEEN ADDRESSED.
MY FRONT/REAR CROSSMEMBERS ARE RUSTED BADLY AND SWAY BAR RUSTED OFF. IT IS NOW SEPTEMBER AND I'VE TRIED TO HAVE IT FIXED BY 3 DIFFERENT JEEP DEALERSHIPS. NONE OF THEM HAVE THE PART, THEY ALL ORDERED THE PART, THEY ALL HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE PART. SEVERE NOISE AND FRAME RUSTED OUT!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 JEEP COMPASS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED A MODERATE VIBRATION AND STALLED WHILE BEING OPERATED AT 20 MPH. THE WHEELS DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE AFTER IT STALLED. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. PRIOR TO IT BEING TOWED, THE TOW TRUCK TECHNICIAN INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE FRAME SEPARATED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 100,000.
TAKATA RECALL. I HAVE A 2008 JEEP COMPASS, PURCHASED VEHICLE AT THE END OF AUGUST 2017. I WAS JUST FORM ABOUT A MONTH AGO THAT MY SUB FRAME WAS ROTTED OUT AND HAD A WARRANTY ON IT FROM MY LOCAL MECHANIC. I HAVE THEN CONTACT SEVERAL JEEP DEALERSHIPS ABOUT THIS RECALL, HAVE CONTINUED TO TELL ME THAT THIS RECALL HAS EXPIRED AND THAT I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET MY JEEP FIXED. I WAS NEVER INFORMED BY PHONE CALL EMAIL OR ANYTHING BY MAIL ABOUT THIS RECALL OR I WOULD HAVE TAKEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO GET THIS PROBLEM SOLVED .
RECEIVED THE FEBRUARY 15, 2017 LETTER ABOUT THE WARRANTY EXTENDED TO 10 YEARS/ UNLIMITED MILES ON THE FRONT AND REAR CROSSMEMBERS. AT THE TIME OF THE LETTER THE CONDITION MENTIONED HAD NOT BEEN EXPERIENCED. THE CONDITION DID PRESENT ITSELF AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN IN FOR INSPECTION. BOTH THE FRONT AND REAR WERE RECOMMENDED BE REPLACED HOWEVER WAS INFORMED THE WARRANTY PERIOD IS FROM THE BUILD DATE WHICH WAS IN OCTOBER 2007 THEREFOR MISSING THE WARRANTY PERIOD BY A MONTH. IF THE LETTER STATED THE DATE OF MANUFACTURE AN INSPECTION COULD HAVE BEEN SCHEDULED BEFORE IT EXPIRED.
THE GAS TANK WILL NOT TAKE GAS. I HAD THE CATALYT. COVERTER FIXED. THE VALVE INSIDE THE GAS TANK DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY, AND MY RESEARCH ONLINE SHOWS THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH JEEP COMPASSES.
THE REAR CROSSMEMBER/KFRAME IS COMPLETLY ROTTED THRU. ALMOST ALL OF THE SUSPENSION PARTS ARE VERY RUSTY AND NEEDS REPLACED. I DID NOT FIND OUT IT WAS THIS BAD UNTIL I HEARD A THUMPING SOUND COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VECHICLE. DID RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET AND DISCOVERED THAT THIS IS A COMMON AND MAJOR PROBLEM.I WAS DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEED WHEN THE THUMPING BEGAN. THIS IS ONE OF MY FAMILY CARS AND I AM SCARED TO DEATH TO DRIVE. I AM PARKING IT UNTIL I CAN GET IT FIXED. I CONTACTED CHRYSLER ABOUT THE PROBLEM AND THEY BLEW ME OFF. I WAS PUTTING A SET OF REAR BRAKE PADS ON THE VECHICLE WHEN I NOTICED THAT THE REAR CROSSMEMBER IS ROTTED OUT. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND FOUND OUT THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THESE VECHICLE. CHRYSLER HAS TO PROMISED TO FIX THE 2007 MODELS, WHEN THE 2007, 2008, AND 2009 ALL SUFFER FROM THE SAME PROBLEM. I HAVE TO PAY$1500.00 OUT OF MY POCKET FOR AN 8 YEAR OLD VECHICLE THAT SHOULD NOT BE THIS RUSTED OUT.
I TOOK MY CAR TO A LICENSED AUTO REPAIR SHOP DUE TO A RATTLE COME TO FIND OUT THAT THE SUBFRAME IS RUSTED. THE CAR ONLY HAS 84000 MILES ON IT AND NOW I DONT FEEL SAFE. SINCE PURCHASING IT I HAVE HAD TO PUT A WATER PUMP, POWER STEERING PUMP ON NEW BEARINGS IN THE FRONT AND. FRONT SUSPENSION. THE CAR HAS BEEN TO THE DEALER FOR REGULAR MAINTENANCE OIL CHANGES AND SUCH. THE CAR WAS BUILT IN 12/ 2007 . I NOTICED A RECALL ON 2007 JEEP COMPASS DUE TO BAD STEEL SO I BELIEVE MY 2008 COMPASS SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE RECALL DUE TO FAULTY PARTS.
I PURCHASED MY CAR NEW IN 2007 WITH 98 MILES ON IT. IN 2011, WITH NEARLY 40,000 MILES, BOTH MY FRONT CONTROL ARMS NEEDED REPLACED. I HAVE SINCE NEEDED THEM (ALONG WITH THE TIRES) REPLACED AT LEAST 5 TIMES. GRANTED, I NOW HAVE OVER 140K MILES ON MY CAR, BUT THIS IS NOT SOMETHING THAT SHOULD HAPPEN ON A REGULAR BASIS. I'VE HAD AT LEAST 3 MECHANICS TELL ME THEY HAVE HAD NUMEROUS REPAIRS MADE ON OTHER COMPASS VEHICLES AND TO "HOLD ON TO MY RECEIPTS" IF THERE IS A RECALL.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SUBFRAME, REAR CROSS MEMBER, AND LOWER CONTROL ARM WERE CORRODED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 74,051.

RECENTLY PURCHASED A 2008 JEEP COMPASS FROM A PRIVATE OWNER IN OHIO. WE WENT FOR INSPECTION AS REQUIRED IN PENNSYLVANIA WHERE WE LIVE. THE JEEP FAILED BECAUSE THE CROSS MEMBER FRAME WAS ALMOST COMPLETELY RUSTED OUT. THE SERVICE MANAGER AT THE DEALERSHIP SAID THIS IS A DEFECT IN HOW THE JEEP WAS MANUFACTURED. THE PLACEMENT OF THE AIR CONDITIONER WITH THE CONSTANT DRIPPING AND CONDENSATION PLUS THE USE OF ROAD SALT IN OHIO CAUSED THE FRAME TO CORRODE. CHRYSLER IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND HAS RECALLED 2007 AND OLDER JEEPS BUT IS NOT HONORING THE EXTENDED WARRANTY ON THE 2008 AND NEWER MODELS EVEN THOUGH THEY KNOW THERE IS A HUGE PROBLEM IN THE DESIGN. THE REPAIRS ARE GOING TO COST OVER 1500.00 DOLLARS WITH NO GUARANTEE IT WONT HAPPEN AGAIN JUST BY USING THE AIR CONDITIONER. HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE TO COMPLAIN OR SOMETHING BAD HAPPENS BEFORE CHRYSLER WILL DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE PROBLEM? EVERY JEEP NO MATTER WHAT YEAR SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER THE RECALL.
I HAVE HAD MY 2008 JEEP COMPASS FOR APPROXIMATELY 14 MONTHS, AND JUST RECENTLY I THOUGHT I HAD A TIE ROD THAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THERE WAS A VERY LOUD KNOCKING SOUND COMING FROM THE FRONT DRIVERS SIDE AND THE CAR PULLED HARD TO THE LEFT. I TOOK IT TO BE INSPECTED AND AS SOON AS THE MECHANIC GOT IT UP ON THE LIFT HE IMMEDIATELY SET IT BACK DOWN. THE FRONT SUBFRAME IS SO BADLY RUSTED THROUGH HE WAS AFRAID THAT THE TRANSMISSION OR ENGINE WOULD FALL THROUGH. I AM CURRENTLY OUT OF A CAR AS THE MECHANIC DEEMED IT EXTREMELY UNSAFE TO DRIVE AND WOULD NOT LET ME DRIVE THE CAR BACK HOME. THERE IS CURRENTLY A RECALL FOR THE SUBFRAME ON THE 2007 MODEL YEAR, MY CAR WAS MANUFACTURED IN 12/2007 SO I HAVE REASON TO BELIEVE THAT MY CAR WAS MADE WITH PARTS AFFECTED IN THE RECALL OF THE 2007 MODEL YEAR.
WAS UNDER OUR 2008 COMPASS WHILE CHANGING THE SERPENTINE BELT AND NOTICE SEVERE RUST ROT ON THE SUBFRAME. CAN ACTUALLY PUSH MY FINGERS THROUGH IT. I SEE THAT THE 2005 THROUGH 2007 MODELS HAVE A RECALL ON THE SUBFRAME BUT NOT THE 2008 MODEL EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 JEEP COMPASS. WHILE PULLING OUT OF A PARKING LOT, THE CONTACT HEARD A LOUD NOISE NEAR THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE TECHNICIAN NOTICED THAT UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE, THE SUBFRAME, CONTROL ARM, AND CROSSMEMBER BAR WERE CORRODED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. IN ADDITION, THE FUEL FILTER WAS CORRODED AND NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 66,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 JEEP COMPASS 4X4. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE VEHICLE JERKED TO THE RIGHT. SPARKS AND FLAMES APPEARED FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THE FLAMES EXTINGUISHED THEMSELVES AND THE CONTACT PARKED THE VEHICLE AT HER RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRAKE ASSEMBLY, FOUR WHEEL DRIVE, AND BEARING SEIZED. THE FRONT AXLE FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND REMAINED INOPERABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 171,000.
I TOOK MY JEEP COMPASS IN FOR A ROUTINE OIL CHANGE WHEN THE MECHANIC DISCOVERED THAT THE SUBFRAME (CROSS MEMBER AND CONTROL ARM) WHICH SECURED THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION WAS COMPLETELY RUSTED THROUGH. THE MECHANIC ASKED ME TO TAKE A LOOK. THE HOLE WAS SO LARGE I COULD PUT MY HAND IN IT AND THE CRACK RAN ALONG THE ENTIRE CROSSMEMBER. HE CAUTIONED ME TO NOT DRIVE IT UNTIL IT WAS REPLACED, SAYING THAT THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION COULD FALL OUT AT ANY TIME AND COULD LEAD TO A VERY SERIOUS IF NOT FATAL ACCIDENT. ALSO NOTED WAS PLAY IN THE RIGHT OUTER TIE ROD AND RIGHT LOWER BALL JOINT. MY VEHICLE HAD JUST TURNED THE 100K MILE MARK. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER AND HAVE ROUTINE MAINTENANCE PERFORMED. IF I HAD NOT TAKE TO A LOCAL MECHANIC, THIS MAY HAVE NOT BEEN DISCOVERED RESULTING IN SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES. CALLS TO CHRYSLER CUSTOMER SERVICE EVENTUALLY RESULTED IN A REDUCTION IN THE COST OF PARTS (2007 COMPASS WAS RECALLED FOR SAME ISSUE). MY BILL IS STILL OVER $1,000 AND WOULD LIKE CHRYSLER TO COVER THE COST OF LABOR AND PARTS. THE REPLACEMENT PARTS USED WERE FROM THE 2007 RECALL. THIS IS UNSAFE AND SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING TO A VEHICLE 7.5 YEARS OLD. I WAS TOLD IT WAS BECAUSE SALT IS USED ON THE ROADS. IF THAT'S THE CASE, THEY SHOULD ISSUE A DISCLAIMER OR SAFETY WARNING WHEN SELLING JEEPS IN AREAS THAT HAVE SNOW AND SALT. I AM VERY CONCERNED THAT I HAD BEEN DRIVING FOR MONTHS, IF NOT LONGER, IN A VERY UNSAFE VEHICLE.THE JEEP COMPASS 2007 WAS RECALLED AND CHRYSLER PACIFICA FOR THE EXACT SAME PROBLEMS. APPARENTLY, NOT ENOUGH COMPLAINTS HAVE WARRANTED A 2008 RECALL.
THE K FRAME IS RUSTED TO THE POINT THAT THE VEHICLE'S STEERING WHEEL SHAKES WHEN GOING AROUND A CURVE. OUR MECHANIC WAS ABLE TO STABILIZE THIS, BUT STATES THE FRAME IS SO RUSTED THAT HE CAN PUSH A SCREWDRIVER THROUGH WITH VERY LITTLE EFFORT. IT NEEDS REPLACED. WE CONTACTED OUR DEALER, AND WERE TOLD THAT ONLY THE 2007 MODELS ARE COVERED BY A SAFETY RECALL.
NOISES AND UNEVEN TIRE WEAR IN MAY OF 2013, NEEDS BALL JOINTS. (60000 MI). SAME THING IN AUG. 2015 (85000 MI). AND NOW K FRAME IS RUSTING OUT.
2008 JEEP COMPASS ENGINE CRADLE FAILED NYS INSPECTION DUE TO PREMATURE RUSTING. 2007 MODEL YEAR WAS EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR 10 YEARS ON ENGINE CRADLE BECAUSE OF PREMATURE RUSTING. MY JEEP WAS MANUFACTURED IN MARCH OF 2008. I AM SURE THE ENGINE CRADLE PART WAS MANUFACTURED IN 2007 AND PLACED INTO THE 2008 BECAUSE NO REPLACEMENT OR UPDATE WAS MADE TO THE PART BETWEEN 2007 AND 2008. JEEP REFUSED TO COVER THE 2008 WHICH I HAD TO PAY FOR REPAIR. THE FRONT TWO TIRES WERE SO BAD DUE TO THE BALL JOINT/BEARINGS I HAD TO PURCHASE TWO NEW FRONT TIRES IN APRIL 2014. THAT'S WHEN I ACTUALLY NOTICED IT. I'M SURE THEY NEEDED REPLACEMENT SOONER THAN THAT. I WAS TOLD BOTH BALL BEARINGS AND SOMETHING CALLED A HUB BARRING TO BOTH THE LEFT AND RIGHT WHEEL WERE SO BAD THEY WERE SURPRISED I MADE IT THIS LONG WITHOUT THE WHEEL LOCKING UP ON ME. I'M $1800.00 IN THE HOLE DUE THE THIS PROBLEM. I'M NOW SEEING THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM WITH JEEP COMPASS. THEY NEED TO DO SOMETHING TO ACCOMMODATE ALL OF THEIR CUSTOMERS FOR THIS ONGOING PROBLEM. TOOK INTO HAVE FRONT END ALIGNMENT AND WAS TOLD BALL JOINTS AND TIE RODS WERE BAD. WAS WITHOUT VEHICLE FOR OVER 10 DAYS AND THE COST WAS $750.00. GOT VEHICLE BACK AND WITHIN A WEEK HEARD A RUBBING SOUND WHICH TURNS OUT TO BE BAD WHEEL BEARINGS. WAITING FOR SERVICE SHOP TO CONTACT ME AS TO THE EXTENT OF THE DAMAGE WITH THAT. THE VEHICLE HAS UNDER 70,000 WHICH IS LESS THAN THE ESTIMATED 12,000 PER YEAR. THE VEHICLE IS NOT USED FOR ANY OFF ROAD DRIVING. I HAVE PUT MORE INTO THIS VEHICLE SINCE I PURCHASED IT THAN I DID MY OLD 95 BONNEVILLE, WHICH I DROVE UNTIL I PURCHASED THE JEEP. THE JEEP WAS PURCHASED USED FROM A DEALER IN 2011. *TR
WHEN THE CAR PULLS UP TO A STOP LIGHT THE ENTIRE VEHICLE SHAKES, AND THE IDLE DROPS. IT DROPS FROM AN NORMAL IDLE 500-600 TO BELOW 500. THEN SHAKES LIKE A TRACTOR. *TR
OUR JEEP IS OUT OF DATE FOR WARRANTY, BUT UNDER 36,000 MILES. WE TOOK IT IN FOR AN OIL CHANGE AND WAS SUBSEQUENTLY TOLD THAT THE BALL JOINTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THIS IS ABSURD FOR A VEHICLE OF THIS LOW MILEAGE. WE WERE TOLD THAT "JEEP" KNOWS THERE WAS A PROBLEM, AND HAS SINCE CORRECTED IT IN NEWER MODELS. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE...!! SO WHY ISN'T THERE A RECALL FOR IT...? WHY DO I HAVE TO CARRY THE FINANCIAL BURDEN OF A DESIGN FLAW...? THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR A ROUTINE OIL CHANGE WHEN SHE WAS INFORMED THAT THE UPPER CONTROL ARM NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT WARRANTY WOULD COVER THE REPAIR COSTS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 66,000.

THE LOWER BALL JOINTS WERE LOOSE AND THE LOWER CONTROL ARM BUSHING WERE WORN OUT. THE MECHANIC REPLACED RIGHT AND LEFT LOWER CONTROL ARMS AND INSTALLED NEW PINCH BOLTS, NUTS AND WASHERS. MY VEHICLE HAD ONLY 43,000 MILES WHEN THE ISSUE WAS DETECTED. I DO NOT DRIVE ON DIRT ROADS AND/OR DO ANY OFF ROADING. JEEP DOES NOT RECOGNIZE THIS AS AN ISSUE ALTHOUGH THERE ARE SEVERAL BLOGS AND FORUMS WITH JEEP COMPASS AND PATRIOT OWNERS EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUES WITH VEHICLES HAVING FAIRLY LOW MILEAGE. *TR

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED SHE SHOULD CONTACT NHTSA AND FILE A COMPLAINT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 28,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION BUT THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE DEALER ADVISED THAT THE REAR LOWER BALL JOINTS, WHICH WERE FRACTURED AND CAUSING THE TIRES TO WEAR PREMATURELY, WOULD NEED REPLACING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 20,000. BALL JOINT ON THE 2008 JEEP COMPASS IS HAS GONE BAD AFTER JUST 50,000 MILES. OVER 1/2 " OF PLAY IN THE JOINT THAT COULD CAUSE SEPARATION OF THE WHEEL FROM THE VEHICLE CAUSING A DRIVER TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. *TR
