My 2018 jeep cherokee, the service shifter warning light appears on my dash and all of the gear light appear solid red on my shifter, this continues to happen when I put my car in park or when I come to a stop while driving, it's very concerning because I took it to my local dealer for another major issue ( oil consumption) and they told me that they could not find any codes of the error occurring.

On 12/15/20 I drove less than 1 mi. Downhill, stopped at the stop sign & the engine quit & battery light came on. Engine restarted about 5 min.

First incident, vehicle was parked, hence stationary. Vehicle would not start, lights would flicker and a a clicking noise would be heard when starting the vehicle. Vehicle was jump started and let it run for a while, then I shut it off to make sure everything is ok and it did not start again.

Last week we noticed steering wheel controls not working, steering wheel heater .. cruise control ,, hands free,controls Today took in to Jeep dealer In superior Wi was told it is the Clock Spring , squib,, said that we have to replace entire unit including new airbag .. as we do not know for sure if until the work done ,air bag would deploy as per dealer ,he isn't 100 percent sure.

The trunk has leaks coming in. It happened 1 year ago and it is now happening again. Last year jeep charged me almost 4 thousand dollars to replace the computer system because of a leak coming in and shorting the wires.

the infotainment screen flashes a warning on red screen "911 Car Phone malfunction contact dealer". It has done this intermitently for the past couple of weeks. The system that failed was the fuse panel that controls the engine and the steering of the car. How this put my safety at risk was I lost all control over the car I could not steer or get the car to turn back on for about 30 minutes. The problem has been reproduced by the dealer.

With in a month of purchasing and many times after the dealership supposedly did a update to the shift shaft but always returned I turn car off have to wait and it goes away now it is staying more than usual and appearing more also with in a month my air bags had faulty wiring Thomson dodge only fixed one under driver seat bc their dx only showed one default a month after that the passengers air bag wiring went bad they refused to fix it so with in first year my passenger air bag needs to be repaired I am driving w two faulty car issues that I practically bought this is dangerous after review many complaints from other same make and model jeep owners shift shaft message and air bag message to replace

While driving, vehicle shuts off without warning, this has happened 3 times even though the car was supposedly repaired with a new battery and a new alternator.

Everytime we drive our vehicle for longer than 10 minutes a warning indicator light comes on which says "service shifter". All the lights on the shifter come on and you can no longer tell when you are in drive, park, etc. When you turn the vehicle off the system resets, but it will come back on again.

Every time the AC or heat comes on the car starts shaking and jerking while in traffic. I bought the car in november 2018. The first 6 months I battled the wind shield wipers going out. As I had to see the dealership 5 times before they were properly fixed.

The car stopped working while in motion in the middle of the street while turning towards my apartment complex. I had my daughter inside the car with me and I was afraid cars will come since I was in the middle of the street were cars pass by to enter the apartment complex. On 11/24/19 @ approximately 5:30pm lights illuminated saying service service shift adjustor. Then on 11/29/19 went to drive the car made it a block from the house and car turned off. Driving it to the dealership today (12/2) which is approximately half mile away died twice.

Since about 18k miles on vehicle I have been reporting issues with the shifting, transmission. Now that the vehicle is not under warranty they suddenly think they know what will fix it. But I now have to pay almost $800 to get it fixed.

Has been happening at least once a day (sometimes 4-5 times) and typically happens when I hit a bump (no matter how small or big). It can also sometimes happen when you tap the side of the console.

Error popped up on the dash saying Service Shifter, all the lights on the gears lit up. First occurrence, I was able to turn the car off and the error went away. 1 week later, it came back and has not gone away.

I believe TSB 08-054-18 does not take seriously enough the danger of an automatic car shutting off mid drive. Only by luck did I avoid being hit on a small road. This has happened pretty much every year of owning the car but I thought it was a fuel/oil issue related to weather until the shifter messages popped up this year.

While driving , car will shut off engine/electric shutdown. It happens while the car is moving and the power steering goes making it very scary. Once the car comes to a stop the only that comes on is the battery light .

When attempting to start the vehicle, the electrical system will shut completely down and a create a no start situation. It may take several attempts with the same result, a partial rotation of the engine before the system resets. I checked the battery voltage which was reading about 11.5 volts, when I attempted to jump the vehicle, I got the same result.

1.)the door knob/handle is burning hot that you could hardly handle it or grab it. 2.) when turning, there is a squizzing sound at the rear wheels and could hardly pull forward, something like holding back. 3.) while in total stop, engine on, there is a clicking sound when stepping on brake and it can also feel the clicking sound when placing your hand at the shift lever.

Going 65 in the highway in the middle lane, the park assist suddenly kicked in without warning and shifted the vehicle into neutral. After drifting to the shoulder, the car would not engage into drive again. The car is less than a month old.
