The contact stated that when his daughter started the vehicle in the driveway, she felt that the vehicle was riding low on the driver's front tire side. The contact stated that he and his daughter observed a blister on the tire sidewall that had burst. The contact stated that the tire was flat. The vehicle was not taken to an independent mechanic or tire repair shop. The tire was not inspected and was not replaced. The contact stated that the failure was the third Kumho Solus 205/55/R16 that had developed blisters on the sidewall and failed. The approximate vehicle failure mileage was 20,000 and the tire failure mileage was 3,500.
