Your engine loses power, hesitates, and jerks before stalling without warning—especially in hot weather and heavy traffic when the fuel tank is less than half full. After stalling, the car won't restart for 20–30 minutes until it cools down, then runs normally again until the problem repeats. A fault code related to the fuel pump has been detected, and this matches a known recall issue where the fuel pump can fail and cause the engine to stall while driving, creating a serious safety hazard. The fuel pump likely needs to be inspected and replaced.

MY 2023 Odyssey has 40K miles and the cam shaft bearing is deteriorating and my engine oil is full of shavings. The dealership is acting as if because I did not get my oil changed there, that it somehow isnt their fault and not covered under the warranty. This is an existing recall of these engines and nhtsa is investigating other years etc. Here is a video from the tech [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The contact owns a 2023 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated while driving 70 MPH, the vehicle shuddered and inadvertently downshifted. The vehicle decelerated to 20 MPH, and the transmission made a grinding sound. No warning light was illuminated. The contact pulled over to the side of the road and coasted the vehicle to Walmart. The vehicle was restarted, and the transmission made an abnormally loud sound while shifting into drive(D). The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.
