Your airbag warning light is illuminated, indicating a sensor issue with the driver-side airbag system. The dealership has ordered a replacement sensor from Honda, but you should have this repaired at an authorized Honda dealership rather than an independent shop to ensure the repair is properly documented and reported to Carfax. Avoid driving the vehicle until the airbag sensor is replaced and the warning light is resolved.

Your passenger-side airbags deployed unexpectedly after hitting a pothole at 40 mph, with no warning lights appearing beforehand. The vehicle hasn't been diagnosed yet, so the exact cause is unknown. The airbag system may need to be inspected for sensor damage or electrical issues that could be triggered by impact.

Your airbags deployed after you hit a pothole, even though there was no crash. You've contacted Honda about a recall involving Takata airbag inflators, but the manufacturer is refusing to help with the repair or replacement costs. Your insurance company is also giving you difficulty with the claim. Getting your airbags replaced under the recall or repaired will require working with Honda directly or pursuing the recall claim through NHTSA.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 HONDA ODYSSEY. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO A DEER. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE NECK AND BACK, BUT DID NOT RECEIVE MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A LOCAL BODY SHOP FOR REPAIRS TO THE FRONT END. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT IT WAS A MINOR CRASH AND THE AIR BAGS WERE NOT DESIGNED TO DEPLOY DURING MINOR CRASHES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 25,000.
WENT TO TURN RIGHT GETTING OFF THE HIGHWAY AND THE WHOLE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAGS WENT OFF. WAS JUST TURNING THE CORNER AND BOOM THE WHOLE SIDE, I HAD JUST STARTED TO MOVE SO WAS NOT EVEN GOING 10MPH. DID NOT HIT ANYTHING JUST TURNING AT THE EXIT LIGHT.
WHILE SLOWLY DRIVING OVER A SET OF UNDULATIONS IN A BUSINESS PARKING LOT, THE VAN CAME DOWN ON ONE OF THE UNDULATIONS AND DEPLOYED THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR CURTAINS AND PASSENGER SEAT AIRBAGS. THIS IS A VMI CONVERTED MOBILITY VAN. BECAUSE THE VAN IS LOWER TO THE GROUND AND HEAVIER, IT DID DAMAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE VAN. BECAUSE OF THE LOW SPEED OF TRAVEL, AND THE NATURE OF THE VAN COMING DOWN ON THE UNDULATIONS (NOT SIDE IMPACT) THE AIRBAGS SEEMED TO HAVE DEPLOYED WITHOUT CAUSE. I AM CONCERNED THAT IF WE ARE DRIVING AND HIT A POTHOLE, THE AIRBAGS MAY DEPLOY. MY WIFE IS A PARAPLEGIC AND SHE WOULD BE TRAPPED IN THE VAN BECAUSE THE RAMP WILL NOT DEPLOY.
