Your car's fuel pump failed, but Honda determined it wasn't covered under their recall program for 2.5 million vehicles. Honda declined to provide assistance or warranty coverage for the repair. The fuel pump will need to be replaced to restore proper fuel delivery to your engine.

I have replaced the vehicle pump 4 times in the last 6 months I’m driving vehicle stutters when going uphill then it just stops mid drive and when we have it checked the pump connector are charred. We replace fuel pump and wires and.within 6 weeks to 2 months I have to replace fuel pump again. It’s a safety issue as my vehicle can get into an accident or it can explode due to it burning the wires and connectors to fuel pump. I’m tired of replacing this item

ON FRIDAY, MAY 19, 2017 WE BROUGHT OUR VAN INTO MAITA HONDA FOR AN OIL CHANGE, A RECALL NOTICE, AND FOR THE BLEMISHES ON THE VAN TO BE REMOVED. ON MONDAY, MAY 22, 2017 WE NOTICED THAT THE VAN WAS LEAKING GAS; WE COULD SMELL THE GAS AND SEE THE PUDDLE IT LEFT. ON TUESDAY MORNING, MAY 23, 2017 WE BROUGHT THE VAN IN TO THE DEALERSHIP TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE. THE DEALERSHIP STATED THAT THERE IS A CRACK IN THE GAS TANK AND THAT IT HAD BEEN BANGED UP PRETTY GOOD, PROBABLY WITH SOMETHING ON THE ROAD. THEY INDICATED THAT THE DAMAGE WAS NOT CAUSED BY THEIR CAR LIFTS. THEY SAID THAT IT IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AND IT WOULD COST APPROXIMATELY $1,400; THAT WE WOULD NEED TO SUBMIT A CLAIM TO OUR INSURANCE COMPANY. THEY SAID THEY WOULD TAKE PICTURES AND WRITE AN ESTIMATE AND PROVIDE US WITH THEM. I BELIEVE THAT THIS DAMAGE OCCURRED WHILE MAITA HONDA HAD OUR VAN FOR SERVICE ON MAY 19, 2017. THEREFORE, I EXPECT MAITA HONDA TO REPLACE THE GAS TANK WITH A NEW ONE AT THEIR EXPENSE. THE DEALERSHIP CLAIMS THAT THIS DAMAGE WAS THE RESULT OF A ROAD HAZARD; ACCORDING TO THEM, SOMETHING MUST HAVE HIT OUR PLASTIC GAS TANK. THIS DAMAGE OCCURRED WHILE IN THE DEALERSHIPS POSSESSION. AT THIS TIME, I DO NOT HAVE ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS TO PROVIDE AS THE VAN IS STILL AT THE SHOP/DEALERSHIP.
