2015 Honda Civic Other Problems

The vehicle loses acceleration while driving slows it down making it dangerous on roads for crash and when it shifts gears it jerks the car

On March 21, 2022, I was driving at a slow speed and the car attempted to cut off. I was trying to accelerate and the car decreased speed and was trying to stop. (Stalling) .

I was driving down the road and then heard a loud boom sound. No other vehicles were anywhere around me. When I got home I noticed my sunroof had exploded.

Driving normally when a sudden & very loud bang/crack was heard and I immediately felt small glass bits falling on me. Immediately pulled over and saw that the sunroof had exploded upwards towards the sky with a large hole in the center and a much smaller hole on the drivers side. Incident occurred while driving westbound on e northwest hwy between town north dr & abrams rd (dallas, tx 75231).

When I was driving down the highway at a constant speed, the moonroof glass randomly exploded. No rocks or foreign object struck the glass, it was a spontaneous event.

I reported during the last oil change that the car was stalling specifically when trying to accelerate between 10 MPH & 30 MPH. The car stalls, and has even completely stopped for a full 60 seconds while trying to change lanes in traffic even though the gas pedal was completed depressed. This almost caused me to have an accident.

I leased a new 2015 honda civic from ourisman honda in bethesda, maryland in june 2015. Shortly after this purchase, I started to see small pale spiders in the car. This is the first time I have ever seen a spider in any car that I have owned.

My husband and I purchased a 2015 Honda Civic 3 years ago. We have maintained proper maintenance and have the documentation on this. At 118,000 ish miles, my [XXX] son was merging onto the interstate at night just a day or so after a snowstorm. As he was merging the car unexpectedly began to lose power. He tried to compensate by pushing the gas harder but realized her needed to pull over. The merge lane had construction cones and there was a bank of snow on the shoulder prohibiting him from getting over safely. He contacted the police he came out and he contacted a tow truck. He had to sit at the end of a merge lane for 45 minutes before a police officer could get there. We are fortunate he was not plowed by a semi or other vehicle. The car was towed to Richmond Car & Truck Center. After inspection, it was determined a new motor was needed. We paid to have that replaced only to be told after that it was still not operable. The transmission was out. The likely-hood of a motor and transmission going out was practically unheard of. The mechanic was even at a loss. I researched and found my son's make/model did have a recall on the transmission although, his was not part of that. We are thankful he is safe but I have never heard of a Honda losing a transmission/engine at 118,000 miles. We believe this is a transmission flaw. No warning light was ever illuminated and no issues of a problem ever existed until this incident. We have documentation. This has been reported to Honda but I have not received a response. When can I take the car in to get checked and where. it is making a zooming noise, kind of like an airplane

While driving on the freeway the latch from the hood came lose causing the hood to fly open and smashed the front windshield

The transmission part that connects to the engine broke

Transmission shuddering and then snapped coming to sudden stop.

The car just stopped moving. The engine still ran I just couldn’t move forward or reverse.

The car was operating fine until made a turn and the car stopped moving entirely, it would not accelerate, and the wheels would not turn. Shifting gears produced no results, and the car was completely stuck. The transmission cap on top of the CVT transmission was off, but had never been removed by me or another service provider. The safety of myself and others was put at risk because I was abruptly stopped by the issue in the middle of the road, unable to move, and received no prior warning that there were any issues with the vehicle. Multiple service centers have been unable to get the car moving again, and the issue persists. They are saying the transmission needs to be entirely replaced. It has been expected by both an independent auto shop and a transmission specialist. I received no warning of any issues with the car on the dashboard at any point.

Transmission went out at 150,000 miles.

My Transmission plug. Just popped off. I noticed a shaking vibration at high speed and finally checked the engine and found the transmission plug had popped off.

Transmission keeps popping out my fill plug and transmission fluid squirts out I’ve read online that these transmissions eventually mess themselves up

The AC compressor broke and needed replaced. This is on a car with 69785 miles that is only 6 years old. This is defective and it seems to be a common issue.

When turning the vehicle on and turning the AC vents blower motor makes loud whining noise. Theres times where it completely stops working at times. The unit wont throw any air thru vents.

As I started to drive I noticed that was running really slow and making a loud noise.after 2 miles I turned around and went back to my workplace.as soon it reached uphill the car was driving backward.this is 3 yr old car,the auto repair guy said its the transmission. I find it odd for a 3 yr old car with 75,500 miles only.also first week when I had it the tire pressure kept coming on.

I first purchased a 2015 honda civic and started hearing this "grinding/creaky" when I pushed down on my brakes, coming from my rear. don't get me wrong, I am able to use my brakes as I wanted, but when I pushed down on the brakes to put in gear or just pushed down a little too hard, I would hear this noise.

My rear view cameras is extremely dark and dangerous to use, especially in the sun (I believe they are all that way) I went to the dealer in port charlotte florida where I bought the car twi times and after 3 employees agreed you can not see well enough out of it to be able to use it they had me bring it back so they can have their master tech call a company master tech to trouble shoot the problem and it would take 3 to 4 hours.

The transmission blew, despite only having 90,000 miles

The car's paint is coming off almost everyday. I didn't do anything wrong, but it is coming off.

Paint is flaking off from roof by back window for no reason. Appears defect when paint was applied to vehicle.

The CVT belt broke on my 2015 Honda Civic. I see on that there was a recall for other 2015 Honda civics with the same issue. There are countless forums online with other people like me who have 2015 civics that were not covered under the CVT recall.

The paint is peeling off the car at the back window.

Air conditioner started working part of the time. Half the time would blow hot and other blow cold. I took to an air conditioner expert and was told I needed all new system and that honda is known for this problem.

Transmissions light did not go on to alert now is not moving

My 2015 honda civic has paint peeling off in sheets. The possible safety issue isn't my car but other cars around me when driving. If a sheet of paint peels off and lands on a driver's windshield causing them not to be able to see that's a huge safety issue.

There is a buzz/vibrating sound when the air blower is on. There is a current service bulletin out there for honda civic 2012 service bulletin 13-041. This should be amended to include all honda civic 2015.

Traveling on the highway at around 65 MPH when I heard a loud bang come from the top of the car. The moonroof had unexpectedly shattered. Heater was on, weather was around 60 fahrenheit in california.

I think the transmission is not making the changes correctly

Vehicle is stationary. Car will turn on power but not the engine. It will make a flicker sound then show all check signs on dash board.

Rear view camera has very poor image. It is too dark to be reliable as a safety feature. Camera is so bad it could actually present a hazard if you rely on it.

My mother leases a honda civic 2015 and was parking the car at a slow speed , foot on break the engine surged and the car sped forward. The car hit the car in front of me. I immediately put the car in park and shut it off.

After a short drive, I noticed a bulge in the right rear tire. This tire is original to the vehicle and has approximately 1700 miles of wear.

When it is sunny outside the rear view camera image is so dark that the camera is not a reliable tool for use backing the car up, thus, it is not performing as designed.

While driving in parking lot of the mall my sunroof just popped. Sounded like a gun shot. Nothing hit my roof just popped.
