The contact owns a 2009 Honda Accord. The contact stated that the pieces holding the front and rear bumpers in place were constantly fracturing because the part was made of plastic. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, he heard abnormal rubbing and grinding sounds coming from the front of the vehicle. The contact continued to drive. Upon parking and inspecting the vehicle, the contact noticed that the driver's side front bumper was detaching. The contact purchased rubbers and was able to reinstall the front bumper himself. However, the failure reoccurred several times. Additionally, the contact later became aware that the rear bumper had separated from the vehicle as there was no bumper on the rear of the vehicle. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 300,000.
CAR IS BLACK AND 5 YEARS AGO SHOWED SIGNS OF THE PAINT FALLING APART. NOW THE PAINT IS GETTING REALLY BAD. I TOOK IT TO 2 DEALERS IBWAS TOLD BECAUSE OF THE SUN. ITS SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA SO I SAID IT'S IN A SHADE WHEN PARKED HOME BUT CANT ALWAYS BE SHADED. I WAS TOLD NOTHING CAN BE DONE

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN THE GARAGE, THE CONTACT SUDDENLY HEARD A LOUD POP SOUND. THE CONTACT OPENED THE TRUNK AND FOUND THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE SUPPORTING STRUTS FOR THE TRUNK DOOR HAD BURST OPEN, WHICH PREVENTED THE TRUNK FROM REMAINING OPEN WHEN IN USE. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 108,550.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 HONDA ACCORD. WITHIN MONTHS OF OWNING THE VEHICLE, THERE WAS WATER INTRUSION DURING HEAVY RAIN. THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE PANELING, ELECTRICAL FUNCTION AREA, AND SIDE CURTAIN AIR BAG AREA WAS WET. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSPECTED AND DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE PAINT FADED, CLEAR COAT COMING OFF AND IT IS PEELING. TERRIBLE QUALITY! LEATHER SEATS HAVE BUBBLED AND RIPPED. TERRIBLE QUALITY.
THE WHITE PAINT ON MY 2009 HONDA ACCORD IS FLAKING OFF IN BIG CHUNKS ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE BEIGE UNDER-LAYER. IT STARTED ON THE CHANNELS AROUND MY REAR WINDSHIELD. I THEN NOTICED SPOTS ON THE TRUNK, DRIVERS SIDE DOOR AND ROOF. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! AFTER CONSULTING A LOCAL REPAIR SHOP, IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE PAINT IS NOT ADHERING - MANUFACTURER ERROR!
I PURCHASED MY 2009 HONDA ACCORD BRAND NEW FROM A HONDA DEALERSHIP. THE PAINT ON MY CAR IS NOW PEELING ON THE HOOD, ROOF, TRUNK, AND AROUND THE BACK WINDOW. I TOOK IT TO A HONDA DEALER AND THEY TOOK PICTURES AND AT THE SAME TIME TRIED TELLING ME IT APPEARED AS IF SOMETHING GOT ON THE CAR. THERE'S NO CLEAR COAT LEFT ON THE CAR. I'M SO FRUSTRATED WITH HONDA. I TAKE GOOD CARE OF MY VEHICLES AND HAVE HAD HONDAS IN THE PAST. I'M COMPLETELY DISAPPOINTED IN THE WAY I'VE BEEN TREATED BY HONDA AND THEIR INABILITY TO HELP. I THINK THIS IS MY LAST AND FINAL HONDA. *TR
I BOUGHT MY CAR BRAND NEW IN JULY 2009, IN NOV. 2009 I STARTED HAVING ISSUES WITH THE DOOR ACTUATORS. SINCE NOV. 2009 THEY HAVE FIXED MY ACTUATORS 7 TIMES, 4 TIMES IN 2012. I ALSO HAVE HAD THE CENTER ARM REST REPLACED TWICE DUE TO BUBBLING (NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AGAIN). ABOUT 3 WEEKS AGO I WAS UNABLE TO LOCK MY CAR FROM THE INSIDE. THIS BRINGS UP A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE. I HAVE ALSO INFORMED THE DEALERSHIP THAT MY ACTUATORS ARE GOING AGAIN IN MY CAR. IN AUGUST 2014, THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME I WOULD HAVE TO PAY SINCE MY CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY. WHEN I WAS UNABLE TO LOCK MY CAR FROM THE INSIDE I DECIDED TO CONTACT HONDA. THEY REFUSE TO FIX THE ISSUE BECAUSE MY CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY AND HAS 83,000 MILES ON IT. EVEN THOUGH THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING ISSUE SINCE NOV. 2009. MY STEERING WHEEL HAS ALSO CRACKED AND THE CASING HAS HAD TO BE REPLACED. THE VTC ACTUATOR HAD TO BE REPAIRED ( I HAD TO PERSONALLY DO RESEARCH AND DIAGNOSE MY CARS' ISSUE AND FIND THE SERVICE BULLETIN IN ORDER FOR THE DEALERSHIP TO COVER/FIX IT). MY CAR HAS RUN OUT OF OIL AND HAD TO GO THROUGH AN OIL CONSUMPTION TEST (YET MY GAUGE STILL SAID 30%). THE ARM REST ON THE DRIVERS DOOR HAS ALSO HAD TO BE REPLACED DUE TO BUBBLING AND SLICING IN THE "LEATHER". AFTER ALL OF THESE ISSUES, HONDA STILL REFUSES TO FIX THE ACTUATOR PROBLEM BECAUSE MY CAR IS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY. I TAKE EXCELLENT CARE OF MY CAR AND EXPECT HONDA TO STAND BEHIND THEIR PARTS/PRODUCTS/CARS, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT BECOMES A SAFETY ISSUE AND THE CAR CANNOT BE LOCKED FROM THE INSIDE. *TR
I HAVE A TERRIBLE PROBLEM WHEN DRIVING DURING THE DAYTIME. SUNLIGHT SHINES IN THROUGH THE WIND SHIELD ONTO THE DASH BOARD (DIRECTLY BEHIND MY STEERING WHEEL) AND REFLECTS THE DASH BOARD ONTO THE WIND SHIELD IN MY TOTAL FIELD OF VISION STRAIGHT AHEAD. I'M NOT SURE WHAT TO DO ABOUT THIS BUT I HAVE TO DO SOMETHING BECAUSE ITS LIKE TRYING TO SEE THROUGH A MUDDY GLASS AND IS VERY DANGEROUS. *TR
THE NOISE COMING FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE UNDER THE GLOVE BOX WHEN THE AIR IS ON IS ANNOYING AND PRETTY LOUD. THE RADIO CAN'T EVEN CONCEAL THE SOUND AT LOW VOLUME. LIKEWISE, THE GLOVE BOX ISN'T LATCHED ACCORDING TO THE LINES OF THE DASH (1 CM GAP). THE GLOVE BOX MOVES AND RATTLES. THE SEAT ALSO RATTLES AND SHAKES WHEN GOING OVER ANY SURFACE WHETHER HIGHWAY OR CITY STREETS... THESE NOISES ARE JUST TOO MUCH. THE CAR IS 09 NOT 1988. ACTUALLY 1988 PROBABLY WOULDN'T HAVE ALL THESE PROBLEMS. THE DEAL SAID THE AIR NOISE IS NORMAL??? SORRY IT'S NOT NORMAL TO NOT BE ABLE TO TALK TO SOMEONE BECAUSE THE CAR FEELS LIKE IT'S BREAKING DOWN AND NOISE IS COMING FROM EVERY DIRECTION. *TR

IN ADDITION, THE TOP EXTERIOR DOOR PANEL LEATHER UPHOLSTERY ON THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER'S SIDES ALSO HAD BUBBLES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 89,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT CENTER CONSOLE LEATHER ARMREST EXHIBITED SEVERAL BUBBLES AND CRACKS, WHICH EVENTUALLY BEGAN TO SPLIT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSPECTED OR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT PLANNED TO NOTIFY THE MANUFACTURER OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE AND VIN WERE UNAVAILABLE.
CREAKING IN THE REAR SHELF DECK IN TRUNK. THE CREAKING OCCURS WHENEVER THERE IS FLEXING OF THE BODY OF THE CAR SUCH AS IN TURNING CORNERS, TURNING INTO A DRIVEWAY OR DRIVING OVER UNEVEN GROUND. SHEET METAL WAS PULLED AWAY FROM EACH OTHER IN THE REAR SHELF IN AN ATTEMPT TO PREVENT THE METAL ON METAL CREAKING. THERE HAVE BEEN REPORTS FROM OTHER OWNERS THAT THE CAUSE OF THE CREAKING IS DUE TO A BROKEN OR SEVERAL BROKEN SPOT WELDS IN THE REAR SHELF OF THE CAR. *TR
