Your dashboard has warped and the seams around the passenger airbag cover are coming loose, creating a gap that could allow dirt or debris to get into the airbag system. The plastic vent and sensor at the top of the dashboard has also cracked and lifted out of place. These issues could interfere with airbag deployment in a collision and pose safety risks. Repair will likely involve replacing the dashboard panel and reseating or replacing the airbag cover and sensor components.

The number 16 transmission fuse would blow and then the car wouldn’t start until you replaced the fuse and now it’s not even starting when the fuse is replaced.
The passenger side airbag is bulging from the dashboard causing the widows to fog. Also while driving parts of the dashboard flew off which could result in injury or death if this issue is not resolved promptly
A RECALL WAS ISSUED FOR OUR 2008 FOR FUSION CONCERNING THE ABS SYSTEM. THIS RECAL IS NHTSA 19V904. WE HAVE RECIEVED POSTCARDS FROM FORD MOTOR COMPANY CONCERNING THIS CRITICAL DEFECT IN THE BRAKE SYSTEM NUMEROUS TIMES IN THE PAST 2 YEARS, THIS PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED AND I FEEL THE CAR MAY ME UNSAFE TO DRIVE DAILY.THE MASTER CYLINDER HAS BEEN REPLACED TO TRY AND REMEDY THIS PROBLEM OVER 2 YEARS AGO. STILL, BRAKE TRAVEL AND FLUID HAS LOST PRESSURE MANY TIMES SINCE WHILE DRIVING. THE LOCAL DEALER , NOR FORD MOTOR COMPANY,WILL NOT COMMENT ON THE RECALL NOR THE REPAIR THAT IS NEEDED AND ESTIMATED TIME THIS WILL BE.
THE DOOR HANDLES KEEP BREAKING. THEY ARE MADE OF JUNK PLASTIC AND I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE 3 OUT OF 4 DOOR HANDLES AND THE DRIVER DOOR 3 DIFFERENT TIMES NOW. I ALSO HAVE A FRIEND WITH A 2012 FUSION WITH THE SAME ISSUE. PLEASE RECALL THESE CRAPPY PARTS FORD!
MY DRIVER SIDE DOOR WILL NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE. THRU EXTENSIVE RESEARCH I HAVE FOUND THAT THIS SEEMS TO BE AN ISSUE ON THE FUSIONS YEARS 2007- 2012 MODELS. IT SEEMS TO BE THAT A CRACK FORMS IN THE HANDLE CAUSING THE CABLE TO COME OUT OF PLACE. THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE CAR IS STATIONARY.
THE DASHBOARD WARPED AND THE AFFECTED AREAS ARE THE CENTER DASHBOARD AND THE PASSENGER SIDE. THE AIRBAG LIGHT IS STILL ON AFTER GETTING THE AIRBAG RECALL FIXED.
I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM CAMPUS AND MY SUSPENSION STARTED ACTING UP. IT STARTED FIRING UP AND DOWN AND FLUCTUATING A LOT. I HAD TO PULL OFF THE HIGHWAY AND TAKE BACKROADS. IT WAS STILL ACTING UP THE ENTIRE TIME. THE "CHECK ENGINE" LIGHT AND "WRENCH" LIGHT BOTH CAME ON SIMULTANEOUSLY. I COULD BARELY GO OVER 35 MPH WITHOUT THE RPM FLARING UP PAST 5000 AND IT FELT LIKE MY WHOLE ENGINE WAS GOING TO GIVE OUT. EVEN WHEN I WAS GOING 20-25 MPH, IT FELT AND SOUNDED LIKE I HAD THE PEDAL TO THE FLOOR. THE AAA GUY WHO TOWED MY CAR SAID THAT I HAD THE SAME TRANSMISSION PART NUMBER AS A 2010, WHICH GOT RECALLED FOR FAULTY TRANSMISSIONS. MY CAR ONLY HAS 40,000 MILES ON IT SO THERE IS NO WAY I SHOULD BE HAVING ISSUES WITH THE TRANSMISSION UNLESS THE PART IS FAULTY OR IT IS SOMETHING I AM UNAWARE OF.
THE INSIDE DOOR HANDLES BREAK VERY EASILY HAVE REPLACED TWICE. WHEN BROKEN AND HAVE TO WAIT FOR REPLACEMENT THE DOOR WILL NOT LOCK EVEN MANUALLY AND I FEEL UNSAFE DUE TO SOMEONE HAVING ACCESS TO CAR WHILR AT STOP,LIGHT OR WHEN PARKED IN PUBLIC AREAS
DASH BOARD IS WARPED. TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I WAS TOLD THAT THEY NO LONGER HAD THE DASHBOARD. THIS DASHBOARD IS SO WARPED IT IS AN ISSUE TO THE AIRBAGS.
ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE DASHBOARD WHERE THE PASSENGER AIRBAG, AND THE DASHBOARD MEET, THE DASHBOARD HAS SEPARATED FROM THE AIRBAG COMPARTMENT RESULTING IN A BELL SHAPED CURVE RISING APPROXIMATELY 1 1/2 INCHES ABOVE THE AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT COMPARTMENT. IF THE AIRBAG WERE TO DEPLOY, IT COULD BE AFFECTED BY THIS AMOUNT OF RISEN DASHBOARD. I'VE ALSO SEEN THIS IN OTHER 2008 FORD FUSIONS. SENT LETTERS TO FORD, AND THEY REFUSE TO HELP OUT.
WHEN THE ABS IS ENGAGED, BRAKES GO SOFT/ARE LOST. THIS HAS HAPPENED 3 TO 4 TIMES SO FAR. SO WHEN THE ABS ACTIVATES, I LOSE ABOUT 80 PERCENT OF MY BRAKING CAPABILITY AND HAVE TO PUSH THE BRAKE ALL THE WAY TO THE GROUND FOR IT TO EVEN SLOW DOWN THE CAR. IT DOES NOT EVEN STOP THE CAR, IT JUST SLOWS THE CAR A LITTLE BIT. THE CAR THEN NEEDS TO BE RESTARTED FOR THE BRAKES TO WORK AGAIN. THE MOST RECENT INCIDENT OF THIS WAS IN WASHINGTON DC. THE ABS ENGAGED ON A CITY STREET AND THE CAR ROLLED INTO THE INTERSECTION BECAUSE THE BRAKES FAILED. THERE WAS NO COLLISION BUT ONLY NARROWLY.
MY DASHBOARD IS SEPARATING FROM THE CAR. IT IS GETTING SO BAD THAT NOW IT IS SEPARATING FROM WHERE THE PASSENGER AIR BAG IS AT. THE OTHER ISSUE IS THAT I HAVE IN THE PASSENGER DOOR AN IMPLODED AIRBAG THAT HAS CAUSED A BUBBLE IN MY DOOR. MY CAR HAS NOT BEEN IN ANY FORM OF ACCIDENTS FOR EITHER OF THESE ITEMS TO OCCUR. AS FOR MY AIRBAG THAT HAS BEEN ON RECALL FOR 21/2 YEARS AND HAS YET TO BE HANDLED, YET MY BROTHER IN LAW AND MY COUSIN HAVE BOTH HAD THEIR CARS FIXED (NOT FORDS) WHICH MAKES ME WONDER WHAT THE ISSUE IS.
THIS PAST WEEK MY CAR HAS BEEN DRIVING ROUGH (SPUTTERING) AND SEEMS TO NOTICE IT MORE WHEN DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY BUT THERE ARE TIMES WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STREETS YOU CAN NOTICE IT (HEAR IT AND FEEL IT) TOO. MY TIRES ARE GOOD, LAST YEAR ALREADY HAD THE PCM (MAJOR CONTROL MODULE) REPLACED ($2,700) ALONG WITH ALL THE COILS AND SPARK PLUGS, AND ALSO PCU REPLACED AND REPLACED MY HCU ($1,500). SO WHAT THE HECK MORE CAN GO WRONG WITH THIS CAR. TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH THIS CAR NOW.
MY CARS ABS LIGHT GOES ON AND OFF AND SOMETIMES WHEN PUSHING THE BRAKE PEDAL IT IS SOFT AND I HAVE TO PUSH IT HARD TO STOP
DASH ON PASSENGER SIDE IS PULLING AWAY FROM AIR BAG, WAS SO BAD YOU COULD SEE THE FOAM UNDERNEATH. NO RECALL DEALER WILL NOT FIX, I REFUSE TO PURCHASE A WHOLE NEW DASH. USED GORILLA GLUE TO HOLD IT DOWN, WITH THE HEAT UP HERE IN FAR NORTHERN CALIFORNIA IT'S STARTING TO PULL AWAY AGAIN. ALSO DUE TO THE HEAT UP HERE THE DEFROSTER VENT HAS BROKEN AND POPPED OUT OF THE DASH. USING GLUE TO HOLD IT IN PLACE AS WELL.
I JUST HAD A WRECK GOT HIT ON THE LEFT FRONT SIDE OF MY CAR I NOTICE THAT MY AIRBAG DIDN'T COME OUT ON THE OTHER CARS THEY DID
WE PURCHASED THE USED CAR FOR OUR 16 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER AT THE END OF DECEMBER 2012. OVER THE FIRST YEAR OF PURCHASE, WE NOTICED THAT THE DASHBOARD STARTED TO LIFT UP AROUND THE PASSENGER AIR BAG. WE CHECKED WITH THE FORD DEALERSHIP TO SEE IF THERE WAS A RECALL OR A FIX FOR IT AND THEY SAID NO. HE SAID THE ENTIRE DASHBOARD WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED BECAUSE IT IS DEFECTIVE - VERY EXPENSIVE. I WAS MORE CONCERNED ABOUT THE PASSENGER AIRBAG DEPLOYING, BUT AGAIN HE SAID THAT THERE IS NO RECALL. JULY 2016 I SAW SOME OTHER FORD FUSION OWNERS HAD COMPLAINED ABOUT THEIR DASHBOARDS AS WELL, SO I THOUGHT I SHOULD FILE A FORMAL COMPLAINT TOO BECAUSE IT IS SUCH A STRANGE DEFECT.
THE CHECK THROTTLE LIGHT CAME ON. THEN LIKE ABOUT AN HOUR LATER AFTER DRIVING MY CAR WON'T START WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY AND I PRESSED ON THE GAS IT WAS HAVING TROUBLE PULLING OFF THEN WHEN I GOT HOME IT JUST COMPLETELY SHUT OFF
THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR HANDLE HAS BROKEN ONCE AGAIN...I REPLACED IT LAST YEAR AND HAD TO AGAIN THIS YEAR...THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD: AS IF I WAS TO BE INVOLVED IN A CAR ACCIDENT I WOULD HAVE TO ROLL DOWN THE DRIVERS WINDOW TO BE ABLE TO OPEN THE DOOR. TO MY UNDERSTANDING FORD HAS RECALLED A FEW OF THE NEWER MODELS DUE TO THIS ISSUE..
THE CEILING CLOTH MATERIAL LOCATED ABOVE THE REAR WINDOW IS FALLING DOWN WHICH IS NOW A SAFETY ISSUE, I AM NOT GOING TO BE ABLE TO SEE OUT OF THE BACK WINDOW SOON
THE DASH PAD SURROUNDING THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG IS BULGING UPWARD.
I OWN A 2008 FORD FUSION AND THE DOOR CABLE HAS BROKEN THREE TIMES. I HAVE TO LET MY WINDOW DOWN TO OPEN THE DOOR FROM THE OUTSIDE. GOD FORBID IF I GET TRAPPED AND CANT OPEN MY DOOR. ALSO MY WHEEL BEARING HAS GONE BAD AND I NOTICED ON OTHER REVIEWS THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH FORD FUSIONS. PLEASE CHECK INTO THESE MATTERS. AS YOU DESIRE TO PROTECT THE CONSUMERS I WASNT TO PROTECT MY FAMILY.
PASSENGER SIDE DOOR WILL NOT LATCH, WHICH PREVENTS DOOR FROM CLOSING.
UPON EXITING MY CAR THERE WAS A CRACK IN THE DOOR HANDLE. THE DOOR WAS UNABLE TO LOCK AND UNLOCK, AND SOMETIME VERY DIFFICULT TO GET IN AND OUT OF THE CAR, THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND I WAS INFORMED THE DOOR CABLE BROKE. THIS SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED AS A DEFECTED PART. I WAS TELLING SOME OTHER ABOUT IT AND THEY TOLD ME THE KNEW OTHER FORD OWNERS WHO HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THEIR FAIRLY NEW CAR.
DRIVERS INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE BROKE. THERE WASNT ANY WARNING, IT JUST NO LONGER WORKED. IN ORDER TO OPEN THE DOOR, THE "LOCK" RELEASE HAS TO BE PULLED. WHEN RESEARCHING THE REPAIR, I FOUND MUTIPLE LINKS REGARDING THE REPAIR WITH NUMEROUS MOMENTS OF DEFECT. ANYWHERE FROM 10,000 TO 80,000 MILES FOR POINTS OF FAILURE. ONE PERSON EVEN EXPLAINED THAT NOW HE CAN REPLACE HIS DOOR HANDLE IN LESS THAN 30...SINCE HE HAS DONE IT SO MANY TIMES. MOST RECENTLY THE FORD F 150 HAD A RECALL...FOR BROKEN INTERIO605-R HANDLES.
