2016 Ford Focus Fuel System Problems

The evap purge valve assembly failed. An engine warning lamp did appear. While driving down the interstate the incorrect fuel mixture caused the vehicle to stall while in motion with my wife, and at the time, [XXX] son were in vehicle.

Fuel pump system is causing the car to intermittently stall out in any gear (manual transmission). This symptom has caused my car to stall while driving in traffic leading to loss of acceleration control and total engine stall. I live in constant fear that I will be in another accident due to completely random engine stall.

Car engine completely stalled while stationary on a street at a red light, the engine would crank and the car shook aggressively but would not start. I was stranded a busy road until someone could push my vehicle out of the way of traffic while in neutral. Eventually after several tries and called tow, the car did start up after about 20 minutes of stalled time.

Same issue with fuel tank deformation. October 2018 was the recall. About 1 year ago greenway ford had the car for the whole day and stated they fixed it but now I received a letter stating the recall fixing was incomplete and the recall states it is increased risk for a crash due to stalling of the engine.

My 2016 ford focus was serviced for fuel system recall 18s32 on july 12,2019. A code was reprogrammed. This did not fix the problem of the engine sporadically stalling and it still poses a safety risk.

This is in regards to the recall on the stuck canister purge valve (cpv) within the fuel vapor system (manufacturer recall number18s32 NHTSA recall number18v735). There is still no resolution and my car has stall multiple times while driving. It is only a matter of time before an accident occurs.

I know there is already a recall for other ford focuses with this same issue. my cpv is not working. the car breaks down every time I fuel and its a huge safety hazard as this happens far from my home usually and its very scary for me.

When filling the vehicle with gas the vehicle shakes uncontrollably and shuts off for about 5 minutes due to the cylenoid in the fuel tank. This year make and model has an open recall for this however my VIN is not listed under the recall .

Certain engine types of the Ford Focus had a recall campaign to replace the stuck canister purge valve. However, the 1.0 Ecoboost 3-cylinder engine was not included in that campaign. Our car is having the same exact issue and we don't understand why the campaign wasn't extended to the other engine types.

My gas tank is starting to implode

When I put gas in my car I have trou left restarting the car, when it does start it runs rough for a minute then is fine until I put gas in the car again.

Day 1: gas meter is showing I have 1/4 gas left in car then all of sudden car shuts off, I go and put gas in and then when I start it up it started up rough then shut off. I go to turn it on again cranks for a few seconds and then it started. Felt like gas tank was actually empty and struggled to put fuel through gas lines.

I had it pushed it to the gas station and put 10 dollars in it it crunk up but it said 0 miles to empty I put another 5 totaling 15 before it registered after I turned the car off to see if it would reset.

Notified of recall (NHTSA recall 18v-735) by ford on dec. 10, 2018, that parts would be available in first quarter of 2019, but I have yet to be notified that the parts are available, and so I am still driving an apparently dangerous car.
