2016 Ford Focus Engine Problems

In the Ford 3 cylinder 1.0L Ecoboost engines there is a terrible wet belt system, there is a recall on the automatic models but nothing for the manual models, regardless of the fact that the manual models are designed far more poorly than the automatic models in the sense that the manual models have no tensioners and rely solely on the factory tension of the screws, keeping in mind that the belt is both rubber and sitting in hot oil when in use, if not a money grab, my best guess is that they hoped the wet rubber belt would simply not not stretch in good faith.

The transistor arm or tensioning arm for the wet belt, which drives the oil pump in the oil pan failed, leading to oil starvation to the engine, causing total catastrophic engine failure, and temporary loss of power steering, while driving, fortunately, I was moving at a slow pace in minimal traffic, however, this is a known fail point in Ford 1.0 L ecoboost 3 cyl engines, that Ford claims my vehicle does not have, and refuses to cover, regardless of the fact that it did happen, and I have pictures in mechanic testimony to prove this to be true, had I’ve been on a different road, or had more traffic, this could have to a fatality.

Almost a year ago I noticed my check engine light came on and so I checked the codes which is P1450 - Unable To Bleed Up Fuel Tank Vacuum - Ford - Powertrain. Everytime I fill the gas tank the engine studders and fails upon startup, usually on the 3 or 4th start the engine finally idle and I'm able to change gears.

I have a 2016 ford focus hatchback, it jerks when accelerating, and makes an odd sound when I am reversing and turning. I cant afford to pay out of pocket for these repairs, but I can see ford has had similar problems with focuses in the past, I have a 5 year old son. And I would love for this to be a recall due to the on going issues.

I've bought a used 2016 focus se at a ford dealership about a year or 2 ago. The car already at 50,000 miles on it, I had it for a couple of weeks before the engine started stuttering very badly during shifts so I contacted ford and they had my clutch replaced. The car is currently at 72,000 miles and the stuttering during shifts started up again.

Received a recall notice in december of 2018 for the engine, and it states in my letter that I do not need to do anything, except wait for a call/letter from my dealer saying they have the parts.

I was notified that my car has been recalled. I waited a few months for the dealership to call me to let me know when I can bring my car in. I decided to take it upon myself to reach out to them and was told to bring it in.

Its 27000 miles and its leaking oil out the front and back as well as the transmision

At 26000 miles my head gasket had to be replaced. Started with rough morning start white smoke and loss of coolant. Leak was confirmed in cylinder 3.

After purchasing this car on 3/7/2017 with 1,909 miles on it. I noticed extensive body damage the next morning which was unbeknownst to me since I purchased it in the evening time. I notified my dealer only to find out that were aware of the pre existing damages!

Received code P090C and seen this was recalled

My car is having transmission issues that have been recalled many times before. The car does not move forward when I apply the gas, it violently shakes on acceleration, the engine doesn't always turn over, and will rev but not move forward at a green light. This is incredibly dangerous, especially when trying to enter the flow of traffic.

Oil pump failure 2 times in a role within 75,000 miles. Had to have a brand new engine replacement each time.

A stuck CPV is leading to excessive vacuum in the fuel vapor system, causing the plastic fuel tank to deform, resulting in an inaccurate or erratic fuel gauge indication, inaccurate distance to empty (DTE), and/or other drivability concerns.

Motor locked up and strater.cut off why driving.

My car continually shuts off while driving, ford acknowledges the recall but refuses to provide any assistance claiming the part isn't ready. The car will turn off in the middle of a highway, or at a light with no warning. Ford is telling us that they can't help us but it isn't safe to drive our car and nobody has helped us.

The car is jumping a lot.

My engine had rubber pieces in it from the belt inside the engine exploding - I have an extended warranty and ford will not cover it due to the tensioner belt broke too which is not a covered part

Engine trouble at 62,000 miles - metal shavings in the oil

I saw that there was a customer satisfaction program (17b32) that stats that the model car made in a specific plant and within a certain time frame were made with the wrong head gasket that will end up failing, I checked with the ford customer support and they confirmed that my vehicle was effected since it was made at that time.

More than 3 months ago I received initial notification of the following recall by mail: NHTSA recall number: 18v735 recall date: october 22, 2018 manufacturer recall number: 18s32. I have yet to receive a follow up with a remedy for this issue, and I feel like I've waited long enough.
