Passenger side rear sliding door lock actuator makes a grinding or buzzing noise when unlocking and does not lock, when door lock is pressed.
Left passenger door can't be locked. Car was burgled.
DRIVER'S SIDE SLIDING DOOR IS STUCK IN THE LOCKED POSITION AND WILL NOT COME UNSTUCK. THE KEY FOB WILL NOT OPEN/UNLOCK THE DOOR. YOU CANNOT MANUALLY OPEN/UNLOCK THE DOOR

THE LOCAL DEALER (BOB MARIANO DODGE, 146 MANCHESTER ST, CONCORD, NH) WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 132,000.
THE DRIVER SIDE SLIDING DOOR WILL NOT OPEN. IT DOES NOT RESPOND TO THE FOB NOR TRYING TO MANUALLY OPEN IT. THE LOCK IS COMPLETELY STUCK AND NEITHER HANDLE OPENS THE DOOR.
WHEN THE VEHICLE IS PARKED IN SUB-FREEZING TEMPERATURES FOR A FEW HOURS, THE SLIDING DOORS, PARTICULARLY THE DRIVES SIDE WILL BECOME NON-FUNCTION AND CANNOT BE OPENED. THE LOCKS CLICK, BUT THE DOOR REFUSE TO OPEN. THIS IS NOT A ONE-ITEM OCCURRENCE. IT CONTINUES TO HAPPEN.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, A CHILD STOOD ON TOP OF THE STOW AND GO COMPARTMENT ON THE REAR DRIVER SIDE. THE FLOOR PANEL COLLAPSED AND THE HINGES FAILED. THE CHILD FELL ONTO THE FLOOR OF THE VEHICLE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE LOAD FLOOR LATCH FAILED AND CAUSED THE PANELS TO COLLAPSE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 83,200.
WHILE MY WIFE WAS TRAVELING IN A HIGHWAY AT APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH THE SPARE WHEEL SUSPENDER CABLE BROKE. THAT CAUSED A LOUD NOISE AND A VERY ROUGH RIDE BECAUSE THE SPARE WHEEL WAS STUCK UNDER THE MINIVAN. AFTER DRAGGING THE SPARE WHEEL AND THE STEEL TRAY THAT SUPPORT IT UNDER THE MINIVAN FOR APPROXIMATELY 200 METERS, THE WHEEL AND TRAY EVENTUALLY GOT LOOSE AND ENDED UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY. INCREDIBLY AS IT MAY SOUND THERE WERE NO OTHER VEHICLES IN THE HIGHWAY IN SAME DIRECTION AS MY WIFE AT THAT TIME AND SHE WAS ABLE TO BACK UP THE MINIVAN TO A SAFE PLACE, WALK TO THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY PICK UP THE WHEEL AND SAVE IT INSIDE THE MINIVAN. AFTERWARDS MY WIVES CONTINUED TO HER DESTINATION WERE SHE PARKED ON A VERY UNEVEN STREET. AT THAT MOMENT A PLASTIC PROTECTIVE COVER FELL OFF FROM WHERE THE SPARE TIRE USED TO BE UNDER THE MINIVAN. WHEN I INSPECTED THE MINIVAN I COULD NOT FIND ANY TRACE OF THE STEEL CABLE THAT SUSPENDS THE WHEEL UNDER THE MINIVAN. UPON TURNING BOLT THAT IS USED TO LOWER THE SPARE TIRE THE BROKEN CABLE SHOWED UP UNDER THE MINIVAN. I WOULD SUSPECT THAT THE STEEL CABLE BROKE AT THE END TERMINAL BECAUSE THAT EXACT FAILURE MODE HAD ALREADY OCCURRED WITH THE PARKING BRAKE STEEL CABLE AND I HAD TO REPLACE IT. THE PLASTIC COVER THAT HAD FALLEN WAS PART OF THE ASSEMBLY WERE THE SPARE TIRE IS SANDWICHED BETWEEN THAT COVER AND A METAL TRAY. THE SPARE TIRE WAS IN THE STEEL CARRIER AND NEVER GOT LOOSE EVEN WHEN IT WAS STUCK UNDER THE MINIVAN.

AS I WAS BUCKLING MY DAUGHTER INTO HER BOOSTER SEAT THE PASSENGER SIDE SLIDING DOOR STARTED TO CLOSE. I HAD TO TRY AND KEEP THE DOOR FROM CLOSING ON ME. MY LEFT SHOULDER AND ARM ARE SORE. IT SCARED MY DAUGHTER TO DEATH. I WAS ABLE TO STOP THE DOOR FROM CLOSING. IT GOT STUCK IN THAT POSITION AND WAS MAKING A SOUND AS IF WAS TRYING TO MOVE AND THEN IT WENT BACK INTO THE OPEN POSITION. I CONTACTED DODGE BECAUSE I THOUGHT THE DOORS ARE SUPPOSED TO HAVE SENSORS. IF THAT WAS MY CHILD THEY WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO KEEP THE DOOR FROM CLOSING. THEY RESPONDED BY TELLING ME TO BRING IT INTO A DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE BECAUSE THERE IS NO RECALL. *TR
I WAS PULLING INTO A PARKING SPOT AT SAM'S CLUB IN WOODBURY, MN. AS I WAS PULLING IN, MY VAN RAPIDLY ACCELERATED AND HIT THE CAR PARKED ACROSS FROM ME HEAD ON. IT FELT AS IF I WAS RIDING A BUMPER CAR AND I WAS WHIPPED AROUND A CORNER. MY VEHICLE SUFFERED DAMAGES AT APPROXIMATELY $2600--SO IT WASN'T JUST A SIMPLE BUMP. I AM REASONABLY CERTAIN THAT THIS WAS NOT USER ERROR ON MY PART. THE BRAKES WERE REPAIRED APPROXIMATELY 2 WEEKS BEFORE THE ACCIDENT. *TR

THE CONTACT FELT IT WAS A MOST DISASTROUS DESIGN FLAW. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 64,000.

THE DEALER ALSO TEST DROVE THE VEHICLE BUT WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE DEALER CLEANED THE FUEL RAIL SYSTEM AS A PRECAUTION HOWEVER, THE FAILURE WAS NOT CORRECTED. THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO STALL WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT FURTHER REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE CARAVAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PASSENGER AND DRIVER SIDE AUTOMATIC DOORS HAD BECOME INOPERABLE. IN ADDITION, THE SENSORS FAILED AND COULD NOT DETECT WHEN AN OBJECT WAS BLOCKING THE DOOR TO PREVENT IT FROM CLOSING. AS A RESULT, A SMALL CHILD WAS INJURED AS THE SLIDING DOOR HAPHAZARDLY CLOSED ON A SMALL CHILD AND FAILED TO DETECT AN OBJECT IN THE DOOR'S PATH. THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE FOR THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
