2016 Dodge Dart Electrical Problems

I came home from work, (drove 18 miles) and parked, walked towards my building and I heard a noise, as if something turned on under the hood. Like a electrical motor spinning. And it was not the fan because that one had already turned off. I walk back to the car and pop the hood, white smoke starts coming out and in less than 2 minutes a huge flame comes straight out from the passenger side of the hood. Called the fire department. Fire was on for 4 minutes, neighbor mechanics came running with fire extinguishers and put out the fire before the firefighters arrived. Too many parts melted and damaged. So far estimate is at $4,000. I do not have the estimate on paper, since at the moment I did not have budget to fix my car. My car was perfectly fine, services got done regularly. Never had issues other than wear and tear. I've had that car for almost 10 years.

Electrical system crashes which makes the car lose the ability to brake, accelerate, and steer. The center display and general display both go out at random times. Sometimes more issues are prevalent when this happens and sometimes less.

The light did not come on upon start up of vehicle. Electrical. My radio, display on dashboard and Bluetooth would blink off and on.

The car shakes very uruptly at idle. You can look at the engine and see it's shaking at idle. If you turn the air conditioner on it gets worse.

My 2016 dodge dart is losing all fluids after putting fluids in the car . My back calipers keep coming off the system , my hose keep detaching or blowing off. Losing power and it's not shifting . Blind Spot Detection says 'unavailable'. The first time this happened, it was followed by the radio & heater randomly turning off & on and all things electrical flashing off and on every few seconds. It was taken to the dealership & found the turn signal socket to show a high resistance when hot. After just over a month of everything working normally, it has now gone back to square one, starting with the blind spot sensors, just as before. The vehicles gauges make a noisy clicking sound after you turn off the vehicle. The lights on the dash and the lights on the steering wheel toggle on and off while this is happening.it continues for 30 to 60 minutes. You can take the key our and it still does it.

This 2016 dart gt has been in for service 13 times since it was purchased in march. The body connector has corroded twice and been replaced along with several corroded wires. The telematics module was also replaced after it tested inconsistent and working only 20% of the time (this is for the uconnect and bluetooth).

My 2016 dodge dart overheats the RPM goes up and down when the car is in motion. On june 26 my car cut off on me in the middle of the road and it took me ten mins to start it up my check engine light keeps going on and off and every time I take it in they say its nothing wrong with it. On a city street, tried to accelerate at a stop light with the brake on. Would not accelerate turning left in oncoming traffic.intermittenly (hops) in motion exiting a highway, upon braking I traffic, stopped at a traffic light and in the driveway with the key removed. Tachometer has redlined (6500 RPM + ) moving in traffic at 46 MPH on level road and upon take off from a red light.

Gear jumped into neutral and then reverse while driving and got stuck in reverse .

The car battery keeps dying even though it's a new battery. Alternator isn't the problem either. A bunch of blown fuses relating to the starting of the car.

I cranked my car up and backed it down the driveway with no problem. When I went to put it in drive it; the gear shift would move to to drive but the car would no shift in any other gear. I’ve restarted it multiple times and it will no go into any gear only stays in park, but the gear shifter will move.

Every time the car is driven, the screen, blacks out and the radio shuts off. It then "reboots" and works for a little bit before the screen goes white and "reboots". Also when this happens, the gauge cluster dims to the point where it is barely visible.

My radio screen periodically blips off and resets, while driving.

The clock and radio will cut out and when they do the odometer flashes. After hitting the cd player to eject the disc the clock will turn back on but the radio takes a little to start working again. Once the radio and clock are back on the odometer stops flashing.

My dodge dart has done this several times now where it won't start early in the morning, typically on colder mornings. I'll try to start it and nothing happens, yet all my lights are working including radio and AC. I tried jumping thinking maybe it was the battery and still nothing.

The passenger door will not lock from the outside. You can walk right up even if the car is locked and open the door. It is a safety concern since I have kids.

Turn signals day time lights keep burning

On a daily bases my car will not start. (mornings before work, evenings after work, when ever I stop the car and come back to it.) I must start the car with a jump machine whenever I turn it off. Today the radio started going out.
