NHTSA Campaign: 25V389000
Component: BACK OVER PREVENTION:WARNINGS:EXTERNAL/PEDESTRIAN ALERT
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Dodge Charger vehicles. The amplifier may be missing software, which can prevent the amplifier from emitting exterior sound, including pedestrian warnings. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 141, "Minimum Sound Requirements for Hybrid Electric Vehicles."
Risk: A vehicle that does not emit sound may fail to alert pedestrians of a moving vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
Fix: Dealers will inspect and update the amplifier software, as necessary free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 26, 2025. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 44C.
NHTSA Campaign: 25V574000
Component: POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:INTERNAL:PARK PAWL
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Dodge Charger and Jeep Wagoneer S electric vehicles. An incorrectly installed spring may cause the loss of the park function when the vehicle’s gear selector is placed in the park (P) position, which can result in a vehicle rollaway. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 114, "Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention."
Risk: A vehicle rollaway increases the risk of a crash.
Fix: Dealers will replace the electric drive module, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 25, 2025. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 63C. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning September 11, 2025.
Owner-Reported Issues (9 of 9)
Suspension,electrical System,service Brakes →1 issue
While driving, your car displayed multiple warning alerts including a regenerative battery malfunction, service airbag system warning, audible ding sounds, and a parking brake alert along with a "Brake and suspension service required" message. The dealership indicated the vehicle is not safe to drive in this condition and had it towed in for service.

Service Brakes, Hydraulic, electrical System, forward Collision Avoidance →1 issue
Your car displayed multiple warning messages including a "Braking System Required Attention" alert along with warnings about the forward collision avoidance system and electrical system. Your vehicle also failed to charge properly. The dealer fixed the forward collision avoidance and electrical system issues, but couldn't determine what's causing the braking system warning. Your car is still at the dealership being diagnosed by the dealer and manufacturer engineers. Resolving this will likely involve electrical system diagnostics and potentially brake system component inspection or replacement.

Fuel/propulsion System →1 issue
Your 2025 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T experienced sudden, uncontrolled rapid acceleration while you were slowly pulling into your garage, causing the vehicle to crash through the back wall and into your yard. This happened without any warning or input from you, and the incident occurred so quickly you couldn't react. The manufacturer may need to investigate the accelerator control system and electronic throttle components to determine why the vehicle accelerated unexpectedly.

Electrical System →1 issue
Your 2025 Dodge Charger GT EV has experienced recurring electrical and operational failures since July 2025, including getting stuck in Park, dashboard malfunctions, and electronic failures—especially after charging. After multiple dealership repairs and a parts replacement, the problems persist, with new symptoms like loud knocking and ticking noises appearing after charging. The dealership's most recent service was only a hard reset, which did not address the underlying issue. Resolving this will likely require a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation and replacement of the faulty electrical or charging system components causing these failures.

Electrical System,vehicle Speed Control,service Brakes →1 issue
Your vehicle's dashboard showed multiple warning lights and entered a limited power mode where the accelerator pedal stopped working normally and the car only slowly increased speed. After restarting, the accelerator worked again but regenerative braking (which normally helps slow the car when you lift off the pedal) stopped working in all three settings. While you were able to safely pull over, suddenly losing acceleration control is a serious safety concern that needs immediate diagnosis.

Electrical System,wheels,fuel/propulsion System →1 issue
Your new 2025 Dodge Charger Daytona EV experienced dangerously overheated rear wheels that glowed red and produced steam after just 2 miles of normal driving with your infant in the car — this happened without hard braking or aggressive driving. Additionally, your vehicle has multiple electrical failures including a key fob that frequently won't unlock doors or open the trunk, and the vehicle sometimes stays powered on even after pressing the power button. You've stopped driving the car due to fire risk and thermal management concerns, and the manufacturer has delayed inspection for over 4 weeks. The issue likely involves the electric motor's thermal management system, cooling system components, or brake-by-wire electrical controls that may need complete diagnostic testing and potential replacement of cooling system components or brake hardware.

Service Brakes, forward Collision Avoidance →1 issue
When your Charger's forward collision avoidance system (ADAS) automatically brakes to stop the vehicle on a hill, the brakes don't stay engaged after stopping. This causes your car to roll backward without warning while ADAS remains active and unaware of the rollback. This has happened repeatedly and came dangerously close to causing a collision before you took control.

Structure →1 issue
The roof trim panel on your driver's side door came off while you were driving. This is a potential safety hazard as loose exterior parts can strike other vehicles or pedestrians. The trim panel will need to be reattached or replaced to secure it properly to your vehicle.

Electrical System,engine →1 issue
Your car is showing multiple warning messages about the electrical system, regenerative battery, and transmission, and it's shutting down unexpectedly and failing to start. The vehicle has been towed twice (at 807 miles and 2707 miles) and continues to have intermittent starting problems, but the dealership says they can't reproduce the issue. The problem likely involves diagnosing and repairing the electrical system, battery, or engine control modules that are causing these warning messages and shutdown events.
