When you brake, your engine sometimes unexpectedly races to a high idle speed, causing your tires to spin and smoke. You have to shut off the engine immediately to stop it. This problem is intermittent and has happened at least twice, requiring towing to the dealer both times. The issue likely involves the fuel system, engine control system, or idle speed regulator.
