Your car stalled without warning while accelerating on a busy freeway during rush hour, leaving you stranded in traffic. A mechanic diagnosed a failed high-pressure fuel pump that had already been replaced under recall, but the replacement part failed again and sent metal debris throughout your fuel system. The repair is estimated at $26,000, and BMW has denied coverage because your car is 3,000 miles over the extended warranty for this component.
