Your rear driver's side tire suddenly blew out while driving on a busy highway, causing you to lose control and braking ability until the car coasted to the shoulder. The tire had been checked and filled to normal pressure just before the trip, and the car had been inspected at the BMW dealership only 3 days earlier with no issues noted. BMW and the dealer attributed this to a tire manufacturer defect rather than a vehicle problem.
