Your Tacoma's frame is developing rust, along with other frame components. Additionally, the white paint is chipping in several areas, including the front bumper and door frames. Addressing this may involve rust treatment, repainting affected areas, and applying protective coatings to prevent further corrosion.

Your 2015 Tacoma was never treated with rust protection when it was new, and frame rot may have already started developing. The dealer confirmed the previous owner never came back for the scheduled rust protection service, and the dealership refused to perform any treatment now. Untreated frame rot can compromise structural integrity and potentially affect vehicle control while driving. Addressing this will likely require professional rust inspection, removal of corroded material, and application of protective coatings to prevent further deterioration.

Your 2015 Tacoma's Ribbon Blue paint has faded significantly on the roof and hood, and is chipping underneath the hood, around the windows, and under the doors. At just 10 years old with proper maintenance, this level of paint deterioration is premature and suggests a potential manufacturing defect. The fix would likely involve sanding, priming, and repainting the affected areas.

Your truck's white paint is flaking and peeling around the windows, doors, and engine bay, and the clear coat finish has worn away, leaving the paint looking dull and flat. Toyota has customer support programs to address this issue on similar vehicles, but your 2015 model year isn't covered by either program. You're requesting that Toyota extend one of these programs to include your vehicle.

Your Super White paint (040) is peeling around the exterior window frames. Toyota Customer Service told you that your 2015 model year wasn't included in their paint recall (SRP 23TE08), even though 2016-2022 models with the same issue are covered. You're hoping to get your vehicle added to the recall so Toyota will cover repairs.

Your windshield has cracked five times in about six years, which is unusual compared to your driving history. You've had replacements from both Toyota and aftermarket providers like Safelight, and these replacements have increased your insurance premiums. This pattern suggests a potential issue with either the windshield quality, installation, or how the windshield frame fits in your truck.

TOYOTA TACOMA. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARD TO AN AUTO ACCIDENT CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO CATCH FIRE. THE CONSUMER WENT TO THE TRUCK TO GET SOME PAPERS AND WHEN OPENING THE PASSENGER DOOR THE TRUCK EXPLODED IN FLAMES IN WHICH THE CONSUMER SUFFERED 8 DEGREE BURNS AFTER BEING PARKED FOR 3 HOURS.
The engine light and the track off warning light came on at the same time as i started the engine when i got off work. on the way home i noticed acceleration was not happening as it should when i pressed the gas pedal. I had a mechanic code it and he said it was the switching valve and the air injection pump which would cost about 1200 dollars to fix. My 2015 Toyota Tacoma only have 35000 miles on it. After during so research i found that this is a problem with other toyota truck owners. This could be a safety problem while driving in a situation where you would need to accelerate in fast moving traffic and maintain speed without slowing the traffic behind you
MY HORN ONLY WORKS WHEN I TURN THE STEERING WHEEL. WHEN I DRIVE STRAIGHT IT DOES NOT WORK
THE WIPER BLADE COWL OVER TIME HAS COME AWAY FROM WINDOW AND ALLOWS WATER THE GO INTO CABIN AIR FILTER AND LEAK THROUGH TO THE INSIDE OF TRUCK. FROM WHAT I AM LOOKING UP ONLINE MANY OTHER PEOPLE HAS HAD SAME ISSUE WITH SAME YEAR AND ALL THE WAY BACK TO THE EARLY 2000. I FELL AS THIS COULD LEAK TO FAILURE OF THE BLOWER MOTOR OR WIRES UNDER DASH ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. THIS HAS HAPPENED WHEN IT RAINS OR WASHING VEHICLE. *TR
WHILE PULLING INTO A PARKING SPACE AT WORK. I WAS ALMOST AT A STOP WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE WHEN SUDDENLY THE TRUCK ACCELERATED AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED. I HIT THE BUILDING IN FRONT OF ME AND MY TRUCK WAS TOTALED LUCKILY NO ONE WAS INJURED . MOST PEOPLE SAY WELL YOU MUST HAVE HIT THE ACCELERATOR MY MISTAKE THAT IS NOT THE CASE MY FOOT WAS ALREADY APPLYING THE BRAKE TO STOP A
MY PROBLEM IS ON-GOING REGARDING BLIND-SPOTS/POOR VISIBILITY DUE TO OVERSIZED SIDE VIEW MIRRORS. I HAVE SPOKEN TO MY TOYOTA DEALER PARTS DEPT, THE SALEMAN, THE HEAD OF THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT, TOYOTA MANUFACTURING'S CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT; NON OF THEM ARE ABLE TO HELP ME. THEY REFERRED ME TO YOU. THE OVER-SIZED SIDE MIRRORS & HOUSING CAUSE VERY SERIOUS BLIND SPOTS LOOKING TO EITHER THE DRIVER'S SIDE OR PASSENGER SIDE, BLOCKING VISIBILITY OVER THE FRONT FENDERS WHEN MAKING A RIGHT OR LEFT TURN. I HAVE BECOME VERY PROACTIVE IF I AM ENTERING INTO AN INTERSECTION TO BE AWARE IF THERE IS A VEHICLE OR PERSON IN THE INTERSECTION BEFORE I GET THERE. OTHERWISE I DO NOT SEE THEM IF THEY ARE ALREADYIN THE BLIND SPOT NUMEROUS TIMES I HAVE ALMOST HIT SOMEONE, CHILDREN, OR A CAR WHEN TURNING BECAUSE OF THIS. ONLY LUCK AND THE OTHER PERSON'S AWARENESS THAT I DID NOT HIT THEM. UNFORTUNATELY, NO MATTER HOW PROACTIVELY AWARE I AM OF MY SURROUNDINGS, IF A VEHICLE OR PERSON HAS ALREADY ENTERED INTO THE BLIND SPOT OR DEAD ZONE IT DOES NOT MATTER I WILL NOT SEE THEM. IT HAPPENED AGAIN JUST RECENTLY. TOYOTA SAYS THEY HAVE NO OPTIONS FOR REPLACING THE MIRRORS WITH A SMALLER VERSION. I HAVE PUT A CUSHION ON MY SEAT TO RAISE ME, BUT THAT IS OF LITTLE HELP. I NEED A SMALLER PROFILED MIRROR. TOO ME THE NEED FOR SUCH AN OVER SIZED MIRROR AND HOUSING IS UNNECESSARY FOR EVERYDAY DRIVING. IT IS A LIABILITY. IT IS JUST A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE SOMETHING HAPPENS. I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE GET RID OF THE TRUCK, BUT I DO NOT WANT TO HURT SOMEONE. I AM VERY CONCERNED. I HAVE SEEN INTERNET POSTINGS OF OTHERS HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. THE SALESMAN SAID HE IS AWARE OF THIS BEING AN ISSUE FOR SOME PEOPLE WITH THE PRIUS. PLEASE GIVE A CALL WITH SUGGESTIONS AND HELP. THANK YOU VERY MUCH, JACKIE

UNINTENDED ACCELERATION.
TOYOTA'S EMISSION PART FAILURE AT 7,800 MILES. TRUCK THREW A CODE P2440 AND P2442 WHICH AFFECTS THE SECONDARY AIR INJECTION SYSTEM. AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH, IT APPEARS THAT THE PUMP AND OR VALVES ARE PRONE TO FAILURE UNDER 60K MILES. TOYOTA HAS BEEN AWARE OF THIS ISSUE AND HAS BEEN PRONE TO FAILURE IN THEIR TUNDRA MODELS PRIOR TO PUTTING THEM IN 2012+ TACOMA MODELS. PARTS ARE AROUND $800-$1,000 AND DEALER QUOTES ARE AROUND $1,800-$2K TO FIX. THESE PARTS SHOULD NOT BE FAILING AT SUCH LOW MILEAGE AND LUCKILY WAS UNDER THE 3YEAR/36K WARRANTY.
SECONDARY AIR INJECTION SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONED AT UNDER 8K MILES ON A 2015 BRAND NEW TRUCK. DID SOME RESEARCH AND THIS PART SEEMS TO FAIL PRETTY EARLY AND JUST OUTSIDE THE 3YEAR/36MOS COVERAGE AND BE QUITE COSTLY TO FIX OR REPLACE. TOYOTA CURRENTLY IS NOT DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT ON TACOMAS LIKE THEY DID WITH THE TUNDRAS BUT THEY ARE AWARE THAT THIS PART IS PRONE TO FAILURE.
WHILE DRIVING AT 65 MPH I HEARD A LOUD SCREECHING SOUND WHICH STARTLED ME CAUSING ME TO ALMOST LOSE CONTROL. A CROSS WIND ALONG WITH BAD DOOR SEALS CAUSED THIS PROBLEM. THE INTERNET DOCUMENTS THIS PROBLEM WELL IF YOU SEARCH 2015 TACOMA WIND NOISE. PLEASE SEE THIS VIDEO HTTPS://WWW.YOUTUBE.COM/WATCH?V=GBT7DASTHPM THE SOUND IS VERY LOUD.
DOORS DO NOT AUTOMATICALLY LOCK WHEN TRUCK BEGINS TO MOVE. SMALL CHILDREN ARE TRANSPORTED IN THIS VEHICLE AND I FEEL THAT THIS IS AN UNSAFE CONDITION.
WHILE DRIVING THE TRUCK, MY HUSBAND HEARD A "POPPING" SOUND, LOOKED IN THE BACKSEAT, AND SAW THAT THE RIGHT, REAR JUMPSEAT, WHICH HAD BEEN IN AN UPRIGHT POSITION, WAS "SEAT-DOWN, HEADREST UP" AND THE RIGHT REAR PANE OF GLASS IN THE REAR WINDSHIELD HAD SHATTERED. THE RESPONSE OF REINHARDT TOYOTA WAS, "YOUR WARRANTY DOESN'T COVER GLASS, BUT WE'LL REPAIR IT FOR $1,100."
The paint is flaking off on the inside surfaces of all your doors. The affected paint is blue ribbon metallic color. This is a cosmetic issue that doesn't affect how your truck drives, but you may want to address it to prevent further deterioration.
