Your hood prop rod fell behind the latch while you were closing the hood, preventing it from latching securely. While driving at 80 mph, the hood suddenly opened and cracked your windshield. The dealer was contacted but did not diagnose or repair the issue, and the vehicle was not under recall at the time.
