Your driver's side seat belt buckle broke and no longer latches when you try to fasten it. The Toyota dealer confirmed it's a defect and quoted $212 to replace it, but warned the part would take two weeks to arrive — meaning you'd have to drive unsafely and illegally during that time. Toyota customer service refused to cover the repair or issue a recall, citing your car being out of warranty. Fixing this will require replacing the entire seat belt buckle assembly.
