Your windshield wipers froze to the glass during winter driving, and the heater vents weren't blowing enough warm air to defrost the windshield even on maximum setting. You had to manually clear the windshield yourself, which created a safety hazard while driving. The dealer was contacted but didn't diagnose or fix the problem.
