Your backup camera displays a black screen intermittently when you shift into reverse, though it sometimes works normally. This problem occurs inconsistently, making it difficult for dealers to diagnose and repair. The issue may be caused by damaged or pinched wiring to the camera inside the rear hatch or where the wiring passes through the rubber boot connecting the hatch to the body.
