Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2014-2016 Toyota 4Runner, 2014-2015 Scion xB, Lexus IS350C, IS250C, 2014 Toyota Sienna, Lexus IS-F, and 2014-2017 Lexus GX460 vehicles sold, or ever registered in the states of Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Texas, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands (Saipan), and the U.S. Virgin Islands or "Zone A." Toyota is also recalling certain 2011-2013 Toyota Corolla, Corolla Matrix, Lexus IS250, IS350, 2011-2016 4Runner, 2011-2015 Scion xB, Lexus IS350C, IS250C, 2011-2014 Toyota Sienna, Lexus IS-F, 2011-2017 Lexus GX460, and 2011-2012 Lexus ES350 vehicles ever registered in the states of Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, District of Columbia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia or "Zone B." Toyota is also recalling certain 2010-2013 Toyota Corolla, Corolla Matrix, Lexus IS350, 2010-2016 4Runner, 2010-2013 Lexus IS250, 2010-2015 Scion xB, Lexus IS350C, IS250C, 2010-2017 Lexus GX460, 2010-2014 Lexus IS-F, and 2010-2012 Lexus ES350 vehicles ever registered in the states of Alaska, Colorado, Connecticut, Idaho, Iowa, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, New Hampshire, New York, North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming or "Zone C." These vehicles are equipped with air bag inflators assembled as part of the passenger frontal air bag modules, used as original equipment or replacement equipment (such as after a vehicle crash necessitating replacement of the original air bags), that may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to high absolute humidity, temperature and temperature cycling.
Fix: Toyota will notify owners. Depending on the vehicle model, dealers will replace the front passenger air bag inflator, or replace the air bag assembly. The recall began February 15, 2019. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are "Zone A" Toyota: G0P, Lexus: GLG; "Zone B" Toyota: G0R, Lexus GLH; "Zone C" Toyota: H0A, and Lexus: HLA.

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2010-2016 4Runner, 2003-2006 Tundra, 2003-2013 Corolla, 2009-2010 Corolla Matrix, 2004-2005 RAV4, 2002-2007 Sequoia, 2011-2013 Sienna, 2008-2012 Scion xB, 2008-2009 Lexus IS-F, 2007-2012 Yaris and Lexus ES350, 2010-2017 Lexus GX460, 2002-2010 Lexus SC430, 2006-2012 Lexus IS250 and IS350 and 2010-2015 Lexus IS250C and IS350C vehicles. These vehicles had their driver or passenger frontal air bag inflators previously replaced under a prior recall using inflators of the same design. The inflators may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to high absolute humidity, temperature and temperature cycling.
Fix: Toyota will notify owners. Depending on the vehicle model, dealers will replace the front driver inflator, front passenger airbag inflator, the airbag assembly, or the front passenger airbag sub-assembly and inflator. The recall began November 20, 2019. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-888-270-9371 or Lexus customer service at 1-800-255-3987. Toyota's numbers for this recall are J0A, J0B, and J0C. Lexus' numbers for this recall are JLI, JLJ, and JLK.

Your front airbags failed to deploy in two separate front-end collisions — once when you hit a deer at 75 mph on the interstate, and again when you T-boned another truck at 35 mph hard enough to spin it around. Both collisions caused over $10,000 in front-end damage and resulted in injuries to you, yet the airbags never activated. A diagnostic inspection of the airbag system's sensors, wiring, and control module will be needed to determine why the system failed to deploy during these high-impact events.

Your 4Runner was hit on the passenger side at an intersection by a heavy-duty pickup truck traveling at least 40 mph. The airbags failed to deploy during the impact, even though the collision was severe enough to cause the vehicle to malfunction.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 TOYOTA 4RUNNER SR5. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, WHEN ANOTHER VEHICLE FAILED TO STOP ON A RED TRAFFIC LIGHT, CAUSING THE CONTACT TO IMPACT THE VEHICLE. AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED NECK, SHOULD AND BACK INJURIES. THE CONTACT DID SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION AS WELL AS WAS SOUGHT PHYSICAL AND CHIROPRACTIC THERAPY. THE CONTACT STATED THE OTHER VEHICLE WAS TOTALED BUT WAS UNAWARE IF ANYONE WAS INJURED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A COLLISION SHOP TO HAVE REPAIRS COMPLETED. THE CONTACT CALLED LOCAL DEALER NORTHTOWN TOYOTA (1135 MILLERSPORT HWY, AMHERST, NY 14226) WERE MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED AS OF YET. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF AN UNKNOWN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER 4 MONTHS AFTER THE ACCIDENT. THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 48,000.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
NEEDED TO USE MY HORN WHEN SOMEONE DRIFTED INTO MY LANE ON THE INTERSTATE. THE HORN DID NOT WORK. I COULD NOT HONK TO INFORM THAT DRIVER TO STAY IN HIS/HER LANE. AFTERWHICH, I TOOK IT TO MY TOYOTA DEALER. THEY DIAGNOSED AND DISCOVERED THE SPIRAL CABLE HAD AN OPEN CIRCUIT. THEY REPLACED THE SPIRAL CABLE ASSEMBLY. FROM WHAT I REMEMBER THEY TOLD ME THIS CABLE ASSEMBLY CARRIED WIRING FOR CRUISE CONTROL, AIR BAGS, HORN AND SOMETHING ELSE. I DO NOT RECALL THE FOURTH ITEM.
NOT SURE. WIFE WAS DRIVING 2015 4RUNNER INTO PARKING LOT AT LOW SPEED AND IT JUMPED A TREE. NOT AT ALL SAYING IT IS A TOYOTA ISSUE - JUST TO BE ON SAFE SIDE REPORTING. AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. UNDERSTANDING IS IT JUST ENDED UP THERE WHEN SHE WAS PARKING. EPIC PHOTO - ALL THE SAME - WORTH DOCUMENTING. SHE ADVISED SHE WAS STOPPED OR JUST STOPPED PRIOR TO THE TREE-CLIMB. PAX SIDE WAS DAUGHTER AND TAKING HER IN FOR MEDICAL TODAY DUE TO COMPLAINTS OF PAIN AND WEAKNESS. POLICE CAME BUT DID NOT ISSUE REPORT.

TAKATA RECALL: CONFLICTING INFORMATION FOR DETERMINING IF VEHICLE IS SUBJECT TO RECALL. CALLED AUTO AIRBAG SETTLEMENT CENTER AND THEY SAID AFOREMENTIONED VEHICLE WAS SUBJECT TO RECALL AND DEALERS MAY NOT YET BE AWARE OR HAVE INFO TO CALL IN VEHICLE. CALLED DEALER AND SERVICE REP. INDICATED THEY HAD NOT NOTICE MY VEHICLE WAS SUBJECT TO RECALL AND THEY COULD DO NOTHING. THIS WEBSITE DID NOT RECOGNIZE MY VIN NUMBER WHEN PUT IN AT THE START, CALLING MY VIN ENTRY AS INVALID. WITHIN THIS CLAIM FORM IT RECOGNIZED MY VIN NUMBER AS VALID!? I AM UNABLE TO DETERMINE IF VEHICLE IS SUBJECT TO RECALL AND NO NOTICE HAS BEEN SENT TO DEALER. MEANWHILE MY FAMILY MAY BE SUBJECT TO SERIOUS INJURY OR WORSE BECAUSE I AM UNABLE TO DETERMINE IF IT WILL BE RECALLED, AND WHEN. THE WHOLE PROCESS OVERLOOKS THE FACT THAT WE DO NOT HAVE TOTAL CONTROL OVER THE ACTIONS OF OTHER DRIVERS, AND MAY BECOME INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT. THE RECALL PROCESS AGAIN REPRESENT THE CONCERN FOR THE COMPANIES INVOLVED AND NOT FOR THE SAFETY OF THE INDIVIDUALS.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 TOYOTA 4RUNNER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE STOPPED AT A STOP LIGHT, THE VEHICLE WAS REAR-ENDED BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BELT FAILED TO RETRACT CAUSING THE CONTACT TO LUNGE FORWARD. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE PASSENGER SUSTAINED FACE, NECK, SHOULDER, AND HEAD INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO HER SHOULDERS, NECK, BACK AND KNEES WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AND IT WAS UNKNOWN IF THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE, WHO STATED THAT THEY WOULD SEND OUT AN ENGINEER TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,000.
VEHICLE IS BRAND NEW WITH 600 MILES ON IT. WIFE DRIVING AT SPEED OF 40 MPH, MAJOR SIDE IMPACT DAMAGE WITH OVER $9000 DAMAGE AND SIDE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY.. WONDERING WHY??
