You purchased this 2002 Subaru Outback and it failed inspection due to rusty, leaking brake connections. The seller had the rust painted over at their dealer, but when you brought the car to your own mechanic a week later, you discovered leaking brake fluid, leaking coolant, oil pan leaks, a cracked muffler, a missing timing belt gasket, and a bolt installed in the wrong location. The car appears to have multiple serious fluid leaks and engine component issues that need professional repair.

Your air conditioner works fine for a few minutes, then starts blowing hot, humid air instead of cold air. Multiple mechanics haven't been able to diagnose the problem, and the only solution appears to be replacing the entire air conditioning compressor since the clutch can't be purchased separately. You might notice the A/C temporarily works again if you turn the engine off and restart it, but then fails again within seconds or minutes. The compressor clutch likely needs replacement or the entire compressor assembly may need to be swapped out.
