Your instrument cluster's speedometer and RPM gauge are very dim at night and difficult to read in the rain, forcing you to look away from the road for 10-15 seconds to check your speed. The brightness control doesn't work on these two gauges, and you've already experienced a near-miss where this issue caused you to drift off the road. The fix would likely involve replacing the instrument cluster or repairing the backlight and dimmer circuit that controls these gauges.
