2015 Nissan Sentra Other Problems

The transmission started with acceleration speed issues, after about a week, it started stuttering and failing to accelerate at all. Today the car would not accelerate through a traffic light which could have caused an accident. A mechanic has confirmed that the transmission is the issue.

We bought this vehicle brand new in 2016, and it seem to be a nice vehicle until it hit 30,000 miles. When we hit 30,000 miles in April 2020, the brake system failed, causing a passenger side collision, however, there were no injuries. Then in November 2020, the transmission went out.

My car's transmission gave out in November 2023. It was returned the day before Thanksgiving. For the second time on January 11, 2024, the transmission blew.

Engine malfunction/Transmission: Yes, the car is available for inspection upon request. While driving the car on the road the car begins to hesitate and wanted to stall in moving traffic. Had to pull over vehicle over until it was safe to try and preceded.

I recently encountered a distressing situation with my Nissan Sentra, where the CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) unexpectedly failed, resulting in the need for my car to be towed. This unforeseen incident left me stranded and unable to operate my vehicle. The failure of the CVT transmission not only caused inconvenience but also posed safety concerns as the car became inoperable.

My Nissan Sentra is constantly “jerking” and “stalling” when accelerating. It’s not coming to speed and completely stopping in traffic. The vehicle seems like it’s struggle to switch gears and giving problems with the transmission.

There is a technicians bulletin for my car and is a known issue but nissan wants to charge to fix the issue. The issue is the piece is malfunctioning and has to be reprogrammed. When you are trying this problem makes the car stall a bit and could be dangerous if pulling out and the car is not able to obtain a higher speed.

No check engine lights or any kind of warning signs. My car randomly will jerk, lose power, accelerate, and makes noises! Issue caused car to slow down rapidly and I was almost rear-ended twice this week!

It is sporadic, when I accelerated there is hesitation in the transmission. I almost didn't make my left hand turn fast enough to not get T Boned it has been happening since I got the car in 2016. The dealer is aware of the issue and they said they adjusted something but it keeps coming back.

I’m getting the code P0101 which is saying I have a bad MAF sensor. I have replaced this sensor and im still having problems. Getting worse than average gas mileage, engine RPM’s going crazy while accelerating.

Chech engine light came on showed maf sensor bad so replaced it changed spark plugs and ignition coils reset check engine light then warning light came on again cleared it came on several times replaces maf sensor again running fine then sitting at light started idling funny then couple days later check engine light on again getting frustrating don't know what to do now

I got it check by mechanic and the transmission is going, car is making noise, is jumping and only has 90,000 miles I bought it with 37,000 on 2016 I think is too soon for the transmission to brake. Is there any help from nissan to get my car fix

Transmission problems with only a 70k milage car. And 4 months later, its giving me the same problem. And they keep on having to fix it at mossy nissan dealer.

Mass air flow sensor was previously replaced in late july 2020 and current mass air flow sensor is failing again this one is brand new and the date is august 25th

"TAKATA RECALL" THIS ISSUE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH CURRENT RECALL. MY ISSUE IS REGARDING THE TRANSMISSION. INITIAL ISSUE HAPPENED PRIOR TO 50K MILES, ORIGINAL TRANSMISSION FAILED. REPLACED BY NISSAN, 2ND TRANSMISSION FAILED AT 96K MILES, NISSAN WANTED TO REPLACE AGAIN. REQUESTED THEY TAKE VEHICLE BACK. SAW LEMON LAW INFO SHOWING ISSUES FROM 2012 - 2018. FYI VEHICLE STOPPED 1ST TIME ON FREEWAY. 2ND TIME IN MIDDLE OF BUSY INTERSECTION BOTH TIMES HAD TO BE TOWED.

WHILE DRIVING STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT. WHEN IT CHANGED TO GREEN STEPPED ON ACCELERATOR PEDAL WITH NO RESPONSE. BRAKE, OIL AND BATTERY LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. WAS ABLE TO SHIFT INTO NUTRAL AND PUSH VEHICLE TO A SAFE LOCATION. TURNS VEHICLE OFF, ATTEMPTED TO RESTART. VEHICLE TURNS OVER BUT WILL NOT START.

NO POWER, NO SHIFTING GEARS, PULSATING, HOT SMELL, RPM GOES DOWN WHEN VEHICLE IS ACCELERATED, LOSS OF SPEED WHILE IN MOTION ON THE HIGHWAY AND ROADWAYS.

WHEN THE CAR IS IN MOTION AND AT ANY SPEED, WHEN PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL THE CAR WILL RANDOMLY AND WITHOUT WARNING LOSE ACCELERATION FOR AN UNKNOWN AMOUNT OF TIME EVEN THOUGH THE GAS PEDAL IS ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. THIS HAPPENS ON THE HIGHWAY AND ON ANY ROADS.

My CVT transmission went out at 81,361. I took it to 4 different repair shops, one of them being the nissan dealer I got the car from. All agreed it was a faulty transmission.

My transmission seems to slide when driving. The vehicle is a 2015 and was purchased brand new in the spring of 2016. I've contacted the dealership and was informed I am out of warranty and spoke with my mechanic who confirms the transmission is slipping.

Car has been making tapping/knocking/squealing noise since about 20,000 miles. Dealership was notified, as well as nissan consumer affairs. (audio was taken of noise).

This car makes all kinds of noises like it's going to fall apart, it hesitates when at a stop light like if it has a transmission problem. The noises are when you slow down for a stop and then get ready to take off. It's like if it's an old car creaking and sounds like something is going to fall off.

This particular year make and model has been known to have transmission issues. Has this been resolved and/or covered by Nissan. The transmission currently is making a very loud whining sound.

My transmission messed up today, not sure exactly sure what is it yet. From what the into I gathered today, my RPM goes over 1 through 2(+) thousand up while my MPH either barely moves or stays the same. When parking my car in my driveway, I noticed my car moving forward while the gear it's on is Reverse.

I was driving on the highway and my car started to slow down I continued to press the gas but it would not accelerate as I kept trying to drive it just stop going I pull to the side the car would not go in reverse or forward,I called someone to come help and they said my transmission went out

The car doesn't want to change gear.

The weather strips on the passengers doors come off.

It's the gear shift it gets stuck I've only had the car 1 year and bought it from abc nissan

The drivers side window motor bolt ripped out of the door frame and now no longer works and the window can't be set in place to stay up. I'm without a window on the drivers side now. I don't know how the bolt ripped through the frame.

This happened a few months back 1 single time. I put car in reverse to back out of a space. Car reversed fine.

Car was hacked, water, laundry detergent, car care items were stolen from the trunck. Registration and insurance card were thrown into the street, thank god I recognized the plastic folder.
