Your rental vehicle had all four tires that were completely worn down (bald), which triggered the tire pressure warning light in December. You had to add air to limp home safely, and both AAA and a mobile tire repair company confirmed the tires were unsafe. Despite the rental company placing an inspection hold on the vehicle, they did not properly check the tires and continued renting the car to you, forcing you to drive in rain and snow with children in a vehicle that posed a hydroplaning risk. The rental company refused to authorize roadside assistance repairs because you hadn't purchased their protection plan, and later charged you over $1,000 for the vehicle despite the safety issue.
