2015 Nissan Rogue Other Problems

While driving the vehicle a burning smell became present. I pulled over into the nearest parking lot. Smoke started to come out of the engine compartment and increased over a short period of time.

Unknown, car not available for inspection. The car spontaneously caught fire and exploded while it was being driven in a public parking lot. There were no warning lamps or indicators the entire duration of the car catching on fire and exploding.

The driver side heat blows cold air and won't defrost properly not to mention I am old and can't survive the winters without heat. I live in upstate NY where we get tons of snow, white out conditions etc etc. Our first snowfall was 11/1/23 yesterday and I was wiping my window because I couldn't see anything and had an emergency that I had to go to and went in the other lane because I couldn't see.

I was getting ready to load groceries in the back of my 2015 Nissan Rogue as I have done many times and lifted the lift gate. I let go because the gate always stays up on it's own but this time it came crashing back down with major force and hit me in the head. I was stunned to say the least and have a huge lump on my head.

I tried to update the Navigation SD card on this 2015 Nissan Rogue through the official website (www.Navigation.com) and am told that due to technical issues this vehicles navigation cannot be updated. I feel that this is a safety issue as these maps are at least 8 years old and if followed in unknown areas can lead to accidents.

I started noticing about 1.5 years ago that the HVAC system was not working properly. The driver's side will not heat or cool properly. I researched this issue online and NUMEROUS Nissan Rogue owners between 2014-2018 all experienced the same issue.

I would like to know when the remedy will be ready for NHTSA RECALL 22V-024. I called Nissan today and was told they didn't have a date. They escalated my concern about driving a vehicle that a fire could start in and where would I be if that happened.

The transmission started to fail at 70,000 miles. I am now getting a full replacement at 90,000. I have owned the car the entire time and have been adamant about changing transmission fluid and oil.

I was driving on the highway with my one year old child and with no warning lights my transmission stopped working the rpms were going out of control and I couldn't drive the car. We were lucky to get out of that situation safely. I contacted Nissan about the transmission codes recall and asked if it would be covered they said yes.

The moon roof on my 2015 nissan rogue exploded itself. With 2 kids (5 and 2 year old) all 4 of us were driving to leavenworth. Pretty close to stevens pass, the moon roof exploded with a bang sound.

Driving on highway at 70mph when I heard what sounded like a gunshot and then my sunroof exploded causing large chunks of glass to go flying in the air and on the highway behind me. There were no other vehicles in sight.

Nissan rogue 2015 - sunroof/moonroof shattered suddenly. We were driving on a freeway with cruise control set at 65mph; the weather was sunny, approx.

On friday, january 24th at approximately 11:50am, my sunroof exploded on my 2015 nissan rogue. Weather was dry, road conditions dry and free of debris. Outside temperature between 52 and 56 degrees.

Hood latch- in motion- highway. The hood will not securely lock into place. When closed/latched the hood can still be moved up and down.

May 22, 2018 I was driving my 2015 nissan rogue down a highway when I heard what sounded like a gun shot. I pulled over inspected all my tires and my entire car, that is when I realized my sunroof had exploded.

My nissan rogue is 2 years old with 31,500 miles. I was accelerating onto the highway on rt 2, near exit 59 in massachusetts on tuesday 3/20, and the engine in the car turned off while accelerating, going about 55 MPH. I was able to pull over to the shoulder safely.

The car had been parked 6:30 p.m. In private driveway. At 2:20 a.m.

I was driving and my sunroof exploded spontaneously. Bridgewater nissan and nissan cooperation said it was due to impact, even though they could not prove it. I had to report it to my insurance to cover the damages.

The forward collision warning system (fcw) does not work properly. I have road tested it by driving up to another vehicle to within what I would consider a unsafe distance without getting a warning signal. Nissan says the system is working but will not road test it because it might pose a potential safety hazard.

The blind spot warning/ moving object detection did not notice a fire hydrant. So I accidentally backed into it

My car is having very bad vibration. It is there since I brought the car and I have taken it to the dealer 4 times complaining the issue and the dealer says that they cannot duplicate the problem. When I showed the problem to the nissan mechanic they said that it is normal with nissan and nissan dosen't have a fix for it.

The AWD does not function properly! The sales representitive told me this vehicle was AWD all of the time which it is not. Therefore I am persuing this...

The problem is that the doors do not unlock until you press the engine stop button. Then all the doors unlock, not just the driver's door. That makes it very easy for car jackers, purse snatchers, and child abductors to wait at a gas station for you to pull up, turn off your engine so you can get out, and commit their crime when all the doors unlock.

The CVT transmission died at 98,000 miles. Stalled I’m the middle of driving. Nissan extended the manufacture warranty to 84,000 to cover the CVT replacement but the transmissions are going out after this mileage.

My wife and I on friday april 19,2019 lost acceleration on the car and we had to pull over on the highway in pennsylvania.we had to get the car towed.triple a towed it to able auto shop.the owner john tells me it is a transmission problem and that he doesn't work on transmissions.I then had to have the car towed to lee myles in mt pocono and dominick tells me the transmission is shot.so I am now being told that nissan has no warranty on the transmission.I am very upset and disappointed with nissan.

When driving the vehicle on snow covered roads, it will first shake and shudder then it will eventually stall. No warning lights or check engine lights come on, once vehicle sits for 10-15 minutes with the engine off the vehicle will start but after a short distance if the road conditions remain the same- snow covered it continues to stall.

My car moves after I put it in park. It jerks forward even though I have it in park. Sometimes before I turn the engine off and sometimes after.

Their door locks lock you in so you cannot get out which is to me a very dangerous situation I had it replaced and the one they put on it which is new is worse

I’ve taken my car for inspection and was told to NOT drive my car. The “trailing/trilling Arms” have failed and my rear end is about to fall off. I just replaced the transmission last year and this.

Power shifter locks in park when trying to change it to drive or reverse . I found a recall campaign bulletin for shift selector knob for January 2, 2016 . I took my vehicle to a Nissan dealer and I was told they could not honor it .

Contacted Nissan in Jan of 2024 for recall repair. It is now August 2024 with zero resolution and Nissan Corporate has stopped following up despite multiple attempts for repair.

The AC does not work intermittently. When the AC is on, it will blow cold air and then all of a sudden, warm air comes out. Then it may work again and then it will blow warm air.

My heater was broken, and taken to 3 different mechanics who could not find the problem without dismantling the dashboard.. While waiting for the dealer to take my car in, my windshield froze and I could not see while driving. I needed to repeatedly pull over and manually wipe it clear.

Heating system blows cold air on drivers side. Vehicle taken to mechanic system flushed and blend door actuator replaced, problem still persists.

As part of NHTSA Campaign Number 23V093000, Nissan provided an interim remedy by inserting a fastener into the key slot of the jackknife key on July 21, 2023. After this interim remedy, key blade could not be folded back into the key fob. Another notice was received from Nissan recently which stated that they have a permanent remedy for this which is to insert a spacer into the key slot.

This has been happening for about 2 years now. When I come to stops such as stop signs ,red lights , or intersections when I go to accelerate it has a major delay which has been very scary especially at intersections and sometimes afterwards the RPM shoots up but car is not accelerating. I brought to dealership and they said no codes are coming up so they didn't know.

There was a voluntary recall of 2014-2016 Rogue rear lift gate stay. The local Nissan dealership and Nissan both noted my 2015 Rogue was not included in the recall even though my rear lift is also broken and manufactured in the same time frame. The rear lift does not stay up making use of the trunk very dangerous.

My sunroof gets clogged and the water back up onto the sunroof frame. The sunroof seal is fine, but the water on the frame is not fine. When you move the car sometimes the water spills out on the driver and/or passenger.

The heat does not work. I live in Illinois and the heater/defrost is essential for safely operating the vehicle. With no defrost, my visibility is impaired and it is not safe to drive.

The spindles (Nissan's word) that control the tailgate fail without warning. when the tailgate is opened from outside or inside it opens all the way but when I step up to the car's rear compartment, the tailgate came down on my head. I took it to the dealership and they told me that the spindles were on back order.

2015 nissan rogue. Consumer writes in regard to vehicle collecting water when it rains. The consumer stated the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time determining a fix for the water leak.

Outside Temperature Sensor indicates -40'F. This causes the AC to blow hot air even when set to 60'F during the summer. It may cause driver or passenger to overheat.

I received a recall in January 2022 and at the end of May 2022 the parts to correct are still not available?? I have contacted my dealer twice. Why would a company issue a recall and not have the material to repair?

Air conditioning stopped working causing the windshield to fog up and limit visibility. Defroster is ineffective without air conditioning. Systemic air conditioning problems exist in 2015 and 2016 Nissan Rogues.

As I was driving on the highway, my vehicle stopped driving forward and operating as if it was in neutral. My vehicle started rolling backwards on the road so I turned into the shoulder. I turned my car on and off to see if it would correct and it did not.

The windshield wiper recoil off has s leak and it drips into the blower for the heater and freezes. When this happens, the heater does not work at all. This causes visibility issues as the defrost/heater will stop working while you’re driving.

My car vibrates while idling when either air conditioner or heat is on (but only when the car is idling; waiting for light to change and not when moving. When my car was under warranty I reported this to my Nissan service repair mechanic when car was under warranty and was told that was normal. I purchased a car in 2016 and now in 2022 it is still happening.

Had brakes checked because of grinding noise..break pads or still new.He said rotors have pits all over them and that's where noise is coming from. doesn't exactly know reason for it. I never experienced this with any other vehicles I've had before.

Drainage issue with the skylight window. Caused major water damage and potential mold/mildew issue. The car has been brought to the dealer for repair and inspection.

When we bought the car 2 years ago, the AC went out the day after we purchased it. The dealer finally got it fixed after about 3 months of trying different things. Last month it went out again.

This model has a widely known issue with the moonroof leaking/clogging due to a poor design. Depending on the amount of water collected, it can pour inside the cabin on the driver and front passenger. When bright to the dealership (numerous times for the same issue) clogged in the front passenger side, the technicians confirmed that this is a design flaw.

My heating system stopped functioning. I took it to the dealership and it was $536 to repair. That didn't fix the entire problem and it's now $1200 more to fix the remainder of the problem.

Hey I have a 2015 nissan rogue sv and its always have a vibration when im completely on a stop. When vehicle is running don't have vibration at all only when its stop. I try to find a recall online but says it has 0 recalls.

The moonroof is leaking every tine it rains

I was driving down the highway at 70 MPH and heard a loud noise, like a gunshot in my ear. I heard glass falling and loud wind sounds coming from the sunroof. The sunroof shade was closed but I knew the glass had broken.

Vehicle heater stopped blowing hot air. It will occasionally work but it does not consistently work. It does not matter if it has been running for a while or not.

Reporting the issue of my blind spot warning lights going off constantly. These lights will go off when no other cars are around me. This is a huge distraction and causes more of a non-safety feature than a safety feature.

The car blind side warning will continue to go off even then there aren't any cars around. This causes more of a distraction than a safety feature. This was brought to the dealers attention 3 time within the first 2 years of owning the car.

Rear hatch supports/hydraulics are not opening properly. They make loud scraping noises and you have to physically hold the gate to ensure it doesn't fall. The vehicle is stationary during this issue.

Vibration on driver side. First time at 45 MPH on highway. Second time while at a drive through pharmacy and entire car shook, seats vibrated so hard I thought they were going to take off into space at any second.

This is not a failure at this time but more of a safety concern. The windshield of our rogue 'concave' is the area around the rearview mirror (this can be seen in the attached photo - note the distortion of the reflected image of the trees within blue circle). When you press on the inside of the glass that distorted area slight 'flexes' - suggest a weak point in the glass.

I received recall notices about this and other issues. I contacted porreco nissan in erie, pa (who sold me the car) and was told not to worry about it if I wasn't having problems. I then called nissan consumer affairs and was told that the dealership needed to take care of it.

2015 nissan rogue parked in my garage. I was in driveway heard loud noise like gunshot. Looked a my car and saw that front panoramic sunroof had shattered into little pieces of glass .

2015 nissan rogue has glare/reflection from interior dash & vent plate covers reflecting in side mirrors & windows causing poor visibility. Interior is dark grey with shiny chrome fixtures which reflects in side mirrors causing distraction, hazardous safety issue. Daytime can see reflection of driver in window.

It has been going on for years, when I am outside the car - the open drivers side door closes by itself and locks by itself. It does t matter where I am parked. Even on level surfaces the door does this.

Rear lift gate supports .hatchback has to be pused up and is very hard to do. Has to be held up so it doesn't come down on us.seen that was a recall on this id # pc459 but its not showing up.

The system failure that I keep experiencing is regarding the ignition. When I turn my car off and try to lock the ignition, my key gets stuck and will not release. I have to turn the car back on and off a few times for it to finally release.

The transmission went out on a busy highway.

Nissan blend door is stripped or cracked so there is no heat. Took to garage and they tried gluing but failed after short period. Causes fogged windows and dangerous driving conditions in cold weather.

No heating on drivers side. During winter cannot clear windshield for driving. Consider this a safety hazard as we cannot see clearly enough when driving vehicle in inclement or cold weather.

my car is doing very well, I change the tires regularly as it should, I do the oil change as required and my car has no technical problems

My 2015 Rogue has a heating issue. The heat is only warm on passenger side. This also means the defrost doesn't work which can cause issues of seeing the road in rainy or snowy conditions.

I purchased my 2015 in 2016 we are in january 2021 and my driver side door stopped working no damage it just wouldn't unlock. I was going to get gas and attempted to exit the vehicle while parked and off and the door wouldn't open

While driving down john turner butler in jacksonville, fl, the sunroof shattered and glass spewed throughout the vehicle. I was traveling with my two children under the age of two years old in the vehicle. Glass ended up in their car seat and throughout the vehicle.

There is corrosion in the tailgate/latch area. Car locks open and close while driving. Trunk does not open with key fob or from inside the car.

I noticed recently that my vehicle's heater is not working properly, when I turn on the defogger/ heater, the passenger side works fine, but the driver's side only blows cold air, which, when living in the north east is a problem on cold days as the window will fog up while driving.

My 2015 nissan rogue does not blow the proper temperature out of the vents. One side of my car blows cold air, and the other blows hot air- regardless of whether I am trying to use heat or AC.

Heater blows cold air. A valve under passenger side dashboard has to be manually opened to temporarily correct this

AC and heater. Lower portion of the passenger side blows out cold air. Unknow why but seems like I am missing a part off of it or why did it go out so fast.

The rear passenger door on the driver's side will not open from the inside. I have had adjustments of this door for improper closing twice and now we can't open it from the inside. Obviously we are stopped when attempting to open the door.

Car is just a little of 3 years old with 37k miles and it's begun to show rust on several parts of the frame already. In multiple spots, the paint on the frame was chipping away and rust was visibly pushing it's way through. In one particular area, it was several inches wide.

The heater does not work on the coldest days. Driver is unable to adequately defrost windshield and maintain a reasonable temperature in the cabin.

Tires started developing knots on sidewalls after 9000 miles and blowing out they are continental 4x4 contac 215-70-16 someone should be held liable

Traveling on highway about 60 MPH when a semi passed us going in the opposite direction. After he passed there was a loud explosion. We had no idea what had happened.

6/13/2015 -the key could not be removed from the new leased . After 10 minutes of starting and stopping, the key was able to be removed. Vehicle was driven approximately 36 miles.

Shift gear was locked, it would moved from drive to neutral and neutral to drive only.
