I HAVE MADE PRIOR REPORTS IN REFERENCE TO AIRBAG NON DEPLOYMENT /SEAT BELTS NOT LOCKING IN 3 HEAD ON COLLISIONS FROM 2004 WHICH LEFT ME DISABLED I WAS AN RN FOR 20 YRS IN 2 SUBSEQUENT HEAD ON COLLISIONS NO AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT IN MY 1999 NISSAN PATHFINDER STILL NO RECALL AMAZING !!!! I HOWEVER HAVE NOTED NUMEROUS RECALLS FOR OTHER VEHICLES MANUFACTURED IN JAPAN FOR AIR BAGS INCLUDING SENTRAS MULTIPLE MANUFACTURERS HAD SAME AIR BAG SYSTEMS A DISGRACE THIS ISSUE IS KNOWN HOWEVER IT IS LEFT TO THE DISCRETION OF THE CORPORATION TO VOLUNTARILY RECALL WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF NHTSA I THOUGHT IT WAS TO INSURE CORPORATE MV MANUFACTURERS TO COMPLY WITH SAFETY FOR THE PEOPLE /ENFORCE SAFETY ISSUE COMPLIANCE. *TR

1999 PATHFINDER'S AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY WHEN THE VEHICLE STRUCK TWO PARKED CARS AND A BUILDING. THE CONSUMER IS REQUESTING ANY INFORMATION ON RECALLS OR PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH THE AIR BAGS. *TS *NM
VEHICLE WAS IN A SERIOUS ACCIDENT AND AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. VEHICLE WAS HIT HEAD ON WHILE TRAVELING AT A SPEED OF 45 MPH.*AK
THE CONSUMERS VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A HEAD-ON COLLISION TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH. NEITHER THE DRIVER NOR THE PASSENGER FRONT AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. *NLM
THE AIR BAGS DID NOT COME OUT AND THE FRONT END OF THE PATHFINDER WAS SMASHED SIGNIFICANTLY. THE OFFICER AT THE SCENE SAID HE BELIEVED THAT THE AIR BAGS SHOULD HAVE COME OUT. THE AIR BAGS IN THE OTHER CAR INVOLVED IN THE ACCIDENT DEPLOYED. I HAVE PICTURES OF MY CAR. DT
WE WERE HIT HEAD ON AT 50+MPH IN OUR 1999 NISSAN PATHFINDER.THE CAR WAS A TOTAL LOSS ,THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY.I CONTACTED NISSAN AND WAS TOLD THAT SOME TIMES THE AIR BAGS WORK,SOMETIMES THEY DONT AND WE CANNOT PUT THAT IN THE OWNERS MANUAL BECAUSE CONSUMERS WILL ASK ,WHY HAVE AIRBAGS ?WAS TOLD BY NISSAN THAT FOR AIRBAGS TO DEPLOY I WOULD HAVE TO APPLY THE BRAKES FIRST BEFORE AN UNEXSPECTED HEAD ON COLLISION.MYSELF MY WIFE AND OUR 21MONTH OLD CHILD WERE ALL INJURED.NISSAN SAID THEY WILL MAIL US THE SUPPLEMENT TO THE OWNERS MANUAL EXPLAINING WHY THE AIRBAGS DIDNOT GO OFF, THAT DOES ME A LOT OF GOOD NOW THAT WE ARE ALL INJURED.*AK
