Your driver's side door won't open from either the inside or outside handle, even though you can still lock and unlock it normally. You've noticed this problem getting worse over several months — it started with the inside handle not working, but now the outside handle doesn't work either, forcing you to climb out through the passenger side. The door latch mechanism likely needs replacement or repair to restore normal operation.
