criticalELECTRICAL SYSTEM,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,SERVICE BRAKES
Filed: Mar 2026

Your 2025 Kia Telluride is experiencing sudden unintended acceleration where the vehicle speeds up on its own without you pressing the gas pedal, and your brakes don't respond during these episodes—only the car's internal safety systems can stop it. Additionally, your car is stalling unexpectedly, losing power when parked, cycling the electrical system back on without the engine running, and having trouble starting in the morning. These problems create serious safety risks while driving.

criticalELECTRICAL SYSTEM,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE
Filed: Jan 2026

Your adaptive cruise control is applying the brakes on its own while driving at highway speeds, even when there's no vehicle, pedestrian, or obstacle ahead. This happens multiple times under similar highway conditions without any warning, and has created a dangerous situation where cars behind you could rear-end you. The dealership and Kia have been notified but haven't been able to fix it, and Kia has already issued a service campaign for 2024 Tellurides with the same problem. The issue likely involves a malfunction in the forward collision avoidance or automatic braking system that needs to be diagnosed and repaired by Kia.

highELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Filed: Feb 2026

Your brand new Telluride has rodent damage to the electrical wiring harness located under the floor. According to the service advisor, this is a known issue with newer cars because the wiring is made with soy-based materials that attract rodents. The repair will likely involve replacing the damaged wiring harness and possibly adding rodent deterrent measures.

Your instrument cluster display (the screen showing speed and fuel level) has gone black and won't turn on, even though the map screen next to it works fine. This means you can't see your speed or fuel gauge, which makes it difficult and unsafe to drive the vehicle. The fix will likely involve diagnosing the cluster's electrical connection or replacing the instrument cluster unit itself.

highELECTRICAL SYSTEM,LANE DEPARTURE,BACK OVER PREVENTION
Filed: Jan 2026

Your car's driver display screen goes completely black when you start it in the morning, making it impossible to see your speed and fuel level. All of your driver assistance features, including lane departure warning and backup prevention, stop working when this happens. This is happening on a brand new car with less than 500 miles, suggesting a potential electrical or software issue. The fix will likely involve diagnosing the display and electrical system, possibly requiring software updates or replacement of display components.

mediumELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE
Filed: Oct 2025

When I was driving in a parking lot on 10/03/25 my car displayed a warning light that my engine was off and I needed to shift to neutral or park. This occurred 2 other times. I was parked at a light on 10/10 and when we left dinner and turned at a light it also shut off. This is a huge safety concern and I have saw others reporting this same issue.
