2019 Jeep Cherokee Fuel System Problems

PTU for this car, with no light or warning on the dashboard, car began to make a cranking clicking noise and began to smoke from the rear exhaust, car lost steering capability for the brief moment and fellow driver alerted me that my car was on fire below. Car immediately pulled to the side, I never lost power.

Backing out of garage gasoline was coming out of the engine compartment and falling onto the driveway. When the engine was turned off the gas stopped coming out. Turned the engine back on and gas started coming out again so I parked it in the yard.

I was not able to start the car and it was towed to closest dealer. According to them the problem is fuel pump. And it is been 1 month already in dealer possession and still not fix it.

Today we bought a new 2019 jeep cherokee VIN [xxx] from quirk dealership in braintree ma. The car stalled 100 feet from the dealership leaving the lot - no ability to steer all systems died. These cars need to be recalled, very scary in traffic with no ability to move.

Ptu unit is defective. Dealership has had my vehicle for a week, only to call me to tell me to pick up vehicle and bring it back to them next week for a level 3 master mechanic to work on it. The vehicle was leaking on my driveway with a 3 foot puddle.

Vehicle cannot stay in 4x4 mode
