The acoustic foam inside one of your original tires came apart, causing your car to shake violently at highway speeds (starting around 50 mph). The dealership confirmed this was a manufacturing defect, not damage from impact. Unfortunately, Hyundai, the dealership, and Pirelli (the tire manufacturer) each blamed the other and refused to cover the replacement cost, leaving you responsible for the repair out of pocket.

I lease a vehicle (under one year old) equipped with low-profile Pirelli tires. After three months, one tire developed a sidewall bulge. I contacted Pirelli and was referred to Hyundai. The Hyundai dealership advised that Pirelli tires are not covered under Hyundai’s warranty and that Pirelli must authorize any replacement. I was subsequently informed that Pirelli declined coverage.
