Your Honda Odyssey's Auto Idle Stop feature may cause the engine to shut down unexpectedly while stopped, and the engine may not restart properly when you try to accelerate—creating a loss of power that could be dangerous in traffic or at intersections. This has happened both during normal driving and right after refueling. The issue could involve the Auto Idle Stop system, fuel system, battery, starter, or engine control software, and you've learned other Odyssey owners have reported similar problems. Honda may need to investigate the root cause and provide a software update, service bulletin, or other fix to resolve the issue permanently.
