2019 Honda Civic Other Problems

I received a notice from Honda dated "February 2024." The notice states that "the fuel pump module may have an improperly molded impeller. Over time the impeller can deform and cause the fuel pump to become inoperable .

I was driving on a relatively hot day around 85F and the car AC was working fine but in the course of 30 min the AC started blowing hot air on my face while I was driving on freeway. The temperature was set to 69F but it still kept blowing hot air. After a while it started giving me a headache and I had to turn it off.

Gas pedal broke off in a 20 MPH collision- air bags exploded

On friday, april 2nd, I was driving home on the 710 fwy on the far left lane. I was driving around 75mph and there was an object on the ground which looked like an empty potato chip bag, it wasn't anything that would have done any damage to my car but my honda sense's collision mitigation braking system activated for no reason and alerted me to brake and started applying pressure.

Your AC compressor is leaking refrigerant and has stopped working. Honda has issued a recall for this part but is refusing to replace it, claiming your title is branded—even though you've confirmed with the Maryland MVA that your title is clean. The dealership and Honda customer service won't service your car or acknowledge the safety issue despite your offers to provide proof of your clean title.

While driving, my car slows down and just stops. I’ve been lucky to pull over and get out of ongoing traffic but then it won’t turn on to the point where I’ve had to get it towed. This has happened 3 times already.

I am writing to express my concern regarding a serious issue I encountered with my vehicle. On September 9th while driving, the sunroof of my car spontaneously shattered without any apparent cause or impact. I did not see or hear anything that could have hit the sunroof to result in such damage, and I was driving under normal conditions.

my 2019 Honda Civic Sport has 2 different recalls and this car has not been fixed or checked by a mechanic at this time, I was sent back home from my appointment at Honda Loma Linda dealership with a promised phone call to resolve the situation, which as today is: 1- car stall's unexpectedly while driving, when this happens it looses power.

My car is not starting properly due to the recall. I reached out to my dealership and they basically told me there is nothing they can do due to the part being on recall. I am a single mother to a [XXX] daughter and with this being my only form of transportation I cannot afford to get a new vehicle or miss work due to not having a vehicle.

On Sunday morning, 8/27/2023, I entered my car after having driven it an hour prior for around 30 minutes to and from a sandwich shop. I entered the vehicle and turned the engine on without issue, and attempted to accelerate. After making it about ten feet, the acceleration on the gas pedal suddenly stopped working.

Intermittently the car will stall out when parked idling and then won’t restart for a few minutes after turning off. It acts as if it ran out of gas. The gas gauge is always at different levels when it happens.

2019 Honda Civic EX was running normally. Next day I start it up and nearly every warning light on the dash illuminates—no power steering, lane assist, adaptive cruise control, braking system, and more. Car is not drivable.

All warning lights illuminate, have lost power steering, followed by complete loss of acceleration. This has occurred more than 8 times since purchasing the vehicle "new" on march 19, 2019. Have towed vehicle to dealer four times.

The damage was to my rear windshield on my 2019 Honda Civic LX. The incident happened on March 19th 2025 at 5:30 PM while at a stop light. I heard a big bang or pop and initially thought that a big rock had been thrown at my car and assumed it smashed into the body.

Received a recall letter that the part was finally available for repair back in October 2024 and every time I contact my local Honda dealer, they generally give me the answer to call back next month to schedule when it’s in their physical stock. Called today, now March and the Service rep said they’ll call me when the part becomes available.

An internal module was not working properly causing the car to not shut off properly and drain the battery. The car alarm would also go off randomly. It was causing there to be issues with starting the car and concern when driving due to the battery potentially not functioning properly and it being strained.

Recall for A/C components was serviced. Less than a year later, Evaporator for A/C experiencing same issue. Dealership doesn't want to warranty, asking for $1500, even though evaporator experiencing same issue as recalled components.

The air conditioning system has a leak. There are a lot of complaints about it online and they already issued an extended warranty for Civic vehicles covering up to year 2018 for a leaking condenser. Right now I have no air conditioning.

The AC system on the 2019 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback Touring stopped blowing cold air out of all the vents (driver and passenger) After turning off the car, only the passenger and right center vent blew a little colder air but the driver vent blew hot air.

The vehicle's condenser and evaporator have failed. I recently purchased my leased vehicle and at the time of purchase, I was not notified that there is an extended warranty provided upon the date of purchase if the condenser is to fail. I received a letter in the mail 2 months later after it failed about this issue.

The engine heat plate has fallen off twice during normal highway travel and dragging on the road causing sparks making my vehicle unsafe and unable to drive. The first time I paid to have it repaired. Now that this has happened for the 2nd time, I feel this is going to be an ongoing issue.

Irregular cooling from AC, same temperature control will feel cool one day and next day it feels like the car is not cooling much at all. I believe there is already a lawsuit about the same issue against honda, but I can only become a party to that if I incur some repair expenses.

Vehicle has been on the road for about 4 months, only about 2500 miles and air conditioning started blowing hot. Upon research, the following years 2016-2018 honda civics have warranty on the condensers for improper manufacturing of condensers. Upon further inspection, air conditioning condenser has leaking spots.

Side Mirror have peeling paint and other areas are not affected.

Air conditioner condenser & compressor stopped working

I got pulled over and they said my plates belong to a different and different year

When my phone rings while my radio is on and after I’m done with the call, it doesn’t go back to the radio it’s stuck in that call mode..I have to stop and turn off my engine and start it back up to clear the settings/mode.

My pearl gray paint is completely chipping and flaking off on the mirrors and all 4 foot handles.

Driving on I-64 in virginia when a loud pop was heard and saw glass off the back of the vehicle. Sunroof had shattered for no apparent reason.

Unattended acceleration . The car surged by itself. The brake did not work.
