2019 Honda Accord Electrical Problems

Component: The engine head gasket and the combustion system (specifically Cylinder 2). Specifics: A leak-down test confirmed a failure in Cylinder 2, leading to coolant intrusion. This was initially masked by a water pump code, but after the water pump was replaced and the code returned, a borescope confirmed "clean" pistons (steam-cleaned by coolant) and tap scarring.

All light come on brake system, ACC, road migration, collision migration, hill start assist problem, Vehicle stability system, electrical power steering, and it will not go when at a light. Almost causing a car accident.

My vehicle started having issues with misfires approximately 2 years after I bought it in January 2020. I bought it new from the dealership in Salinas California. I took it to Morgan hill Honda for repairs.

My car has been sending several warnings including: Brake System: Electric Parking Brake System Problem, Brake System Problem, Brake Hold System Problem, Adaptive Cruise Control System Problem, Collision Mitigation Braking System Problem, Road Departure Mitigation System Problem, Supplemental Restraint System Problem, and Power Steering Reduction Problem. My car is not even 100,000 miles yet.

Lights go crazy in dashboard apparently due to constan cylinder misfires, spark plugs changed, same issue, fuel injectors and coils changed, same happened keep it getting fix and the problem persist, making the car dangerous to drive, since it loses power since the car it’s not able to respond and work as it should be Having engine, steering and brake issues, problem has been confirmed by dealer.

In December 2024, all of the lights on my dashboard came on & my car would not accelerate. The code indicated that it was a "Cylinder 2 Misfire." I replaced the ignition coil for cylinder 2 but my car continued to have the same issues. I had all 4 ignition coils replaced and all 4 spark plugs.

for the past 3-4 months it started off with shaking. once I would try to accelerate it it would choke. took it to the dealer ship and they had it for almost 2 months.

Car will randomly fully brake and stop while driving and collision system warning will show up on dash even when there is nothing In front or near car. As well as all the warning lights randomly going off when there is no issue with the car.

The lights come on ,the dashboard saying it’s my fuel pump and I can’t get it fix because they don’t have the parts in stock till next year vehicle will stall on the highway and lose power causing someone to crash into me and the transmission throw a code as will with the fuel pump

Engine stall in the middle of the road making me hit an object and it lock up the steering wheel for I couldn't are nun causing the car to being in an accident this cost my insurance $4.5K to fix in damages and the car was under Honda care and Honda care basic warranty because they have on the carfax that it was minor because the amount of damage that cause Honda should be reliable for this accident bc this was a new car the steering wheel was not supposed to lock up while driving are just stall in the highway for I can’t steer

My three year old daughter was locked in the vehicle recently which is a major safety concern and was a very terrifying experience. All door locks were malfunctioning. I was unable to gain access to her for several minutes via my key fob or manually pulling the handle/latch.

All of the warning lights are on. The Adaptive Cruise Control, E parking brake, Tire pressure monitor, Brake System Performance, Vehicle Stability Assist, Electric power steering lights are all currently on. Brakes did not engage properly when braking.

Radio fails to start when turn the vehicle on. If the radio does start it will shut off while driving. When this happens the forward collision alert fails.

On 01-31-2023 at 5pm my Accord (2019, 27k miles) experienced a limp mode condition on the Highway forcing me to pull over onto the shoulder and restart the car. I was traveling for 4+ hours in rain / misting rain on the way to North Carolina for a business trip. I went to pass a slow moving vehicle, and the car’s check engine light began to flash 2 seconds after I hit the accelerator.

As I was driving down the interstate, it had been raining hard, but the speed had increased and we were going around 70-75, speed limit 70. I was in the far left lane when the lane all of a sudden was ending. I had to work my way over fast, so I kicked it to move over to the next lane, and when I did, I lost ALL power in the vehicle.

Door lock actuator of 1 door out of 4 is gets stuck between open and close positions (brainfart) mode and won't respond to center lock/unlock. It won't unlock with the fob from outside or respond to door unlock button from inside. If I am inside the car, I have to brush my hand against the physical lock latch simultaneously with pressing the unlock switch.

This vehicle has a safety issue when it comes to snow on the ground and driving on a hill/incline. I was driving my vehicle through snow in the Ohio/WV region and when I tried to drive up a hill with snow on the ground the vehicle stopped. The vehicle would not accelerate and it seemed the engine just shut off.

I was on the freeway going about 75mph, when suddenly, my vehicle's cmbs system activated and slowed down speed to 20mph approx. Without having any vehicles in front or near me. Luckily, the driver behind me was not following close and was able to avoid a collision by switching lanes.

I have tried contacting honda and going to the dealership multiple times to get this taken care of but everything is perfect they say.

Back in july 4, 2020, the digital part of my instrument panel, heads up display and my infotainment system crashed while I was driving. It took approximately 2 mins to come back on. Today, july 14,2020, the audio, phone and navigation on my instrument panel weren't showing up when I turned on my car.

On the highway going 75mph the collision mitigation beeped and locked up the brakes dropping my speed below 50mph before letting off. There was a car in the lane to the right of me on a straight section of the highway but was not moving into my lane. Luckily there was no one behind me.

"collision mitigation braking system problem. See your dealer." warning has appeared seven times in the 4,300 miles I have owned the car. When the system errors the emergency braking does not function, the adaptive cruise control does not function, and even the traditional cruise control will not set.

My reverse camera pulls up on the screen as I've been driving for well over 30 mins and my RPM gauge has went out and goes blank every other hour or so. Happened about 7 times this past month. Pretty dangerous because when the following car function is on it immediately stops works, I've swerved to avoid accidents.

With only less than 800 miles on the car, my 2019 honda accord vsa modulator (which was diagnosed by the dealership) failed. I felt the car begin to bog on the highway right before we were on the exit. Then, the gas pedal stopped working properly and the car lost speed.

The lights on my car have been displaying on and off for two years. I keep being told that it is a battery issue, I replace the battery and months later all of my car lights are back on. The car drives hard, and stalls.

Fuel PUMP FAILED, car stalled and was unresponsive

On Dec of 2022 I expereienced my first encounter with the recall and my engine was affected. I was on a busy Highway when the car made some weird noises and then stalled. When I took the car to the mechanic, he stated I needed a new engine.

My car was initially at Performance Honda due to engine failure on June 24, 2022. They called on July 20, 2022 and confirmed that my car engine was repaired and I picked it up on July 20, 2022. Then on July 23, 2022, I incurred the same engine failures as noted by the warning and error lights on my display panel.

I got an oil change done and everything was fine brakes were good , battery , engine , everything . Then dashboard lights came on the engine light saying to take to dealer the. Brake light warning comes and with nothing in front or near me and on occasion it engages the brakes. Also the lane keep assist also goes off when I’m in the middle of a lane and going straight. I had to boost my brothers vehicle because his battery was dead. Ever since then, the "charging system failure" notification has been on. Been on for about 1.5 years.

Randomly my vehicles LKAS, ACC, blind spot monitoring will go out with a message to visit dealer. Also my exterior headlight controls won't work, turn signal stops working, backup camera stops working, rear trunk control, rear defroster. All steering wheel controls stop working as well.

THEY HAVE SWAPPED OUT THE GAUGE CLUSTER AND THE PROBLEM PERSISTS. ADDITIONALLY, I HAVE IDENTIFIED OTHER USERS VIA INTERNET FORUMS WHO HAVE EXCHANGED PHOTOS AND VIDEOS WITH ME OF THEIR VEHICLES EXHIBITING THE SAME SYMPTOMS. BECAUSE THE PROBLEM WAS NOT FIXED WITH NEW HARDWARE, AND MANY OTHER USERS EXPERIENCE IT, I SUSPECT IT MAY BE A SOFTWARE ISSUE.

SECOND TIME OCCURRENCE - AFTER STARTING THE CAR ALL THE SAFETY SYSTEMS ( HONDA SENSING) STARTED TO GIVE ERRORS, ABS BREAKS, AUTOMATIC LIGHTING CONTROL SYSTEM PROBLEM LANE KEEPING ASSIST SYSTEM PROBLEM ROAD DEPARTURE MITIGATION PROBLEM AUTO HIGH BEAM PROBLEM BRAKE SYSTEM LIGHT WENT ON CAR DOES NOT BEEP WHEN YOU LOCK IT TRUNK WILL NOT OPEN TURN SIGNALS WILL NOT TURN DISPLAY ON THE DASHBOARD. WE HAD TO PULL THE CAR OVER AND TURN IT OFF AND TURN BACK ON. AFTER THAT ALL THE ERRORS CLEARED. FIRST TIME HAPPENED TOOK IT TO DEALER HOWEVER THEY COULDN'T REPLICATE THE ISSUE. THEY MENTIONED THAT THE WERE ABLE TO SEE THE ERROR LOGS BUT NOT SURE WHY IT HAPPENED. WE ARE WORRIED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF THE CAR AT THIS MOMENT. WILL BETAKING TEH CAR BACK TO DEALER ON MONDAY. (CAR ONLY HAS 8000 MILES)

ON 11/22, WHEN MY CAR WAS IN ACCESSORY MODE, THE STEREO SYSTEM WAS FLICKERING AND THE WARNING SIGN SAYING THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH MY BRAKE SYSTEM APPEARED ON THE DASH BOARD. I ALSO NOTICED MY BREAK PEDAL WAS PULSATING. I TOOK IT TO HONDA AND THEY CHANGED THE BATTERY OF MY CAR ON 11/30. I CALLED HONDA CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY TOLD ME THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE BUT THEY DO NOT HAVE A FIX FOR IT. TWO DAYS AFTER I GOT MY BATTERY CHANGERS, THE TOUCH SCREEN WENT OUT WHILE I WAS DRIVING AND CAUSED THE STEREO SYSTEM TO REBOOT. TODAY, I WAS AT THE STOP LIGHT WAITING FOR THE LIGHT TO TURN GREEN. THERE WAS NOT A CAR INFRONT OF ME AND WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE PEDAL AND THE CAR STARTED TO MOVE. ABOUT TWO SECONDS OF MOVING THE CAR, THE CAR BREAKED BY ITSELF AND THE HAZARDS LIGHTS CAME ON- THIS HAPPENED ON 12/14. A CAR BEHIND ME HAD TO SWERVE TO AVOID HITTING ME.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SENSOR AND CAMERA WERE REPLACED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,000. THE VIN WAS INVALID.

I was driving on the highway in my new 2019 honda accord which is just at it's 3768 miles, and the adaptive cruise control system, collusion mitigation braking system and road departure system failed. It showed a message to take it to the dealer. Upon restarting the problem seems to be solved.

Infotainment system is not able to connect to any devices will not update system and Bluetooth will not stay on

My dash is a christmas tree, been to 3 shops. Many codes are popping up ans showing needs turbocharger. Honda wants almost 3000 to fix.

My vehicle had been running fine up until the dash lit up, engine check turned on along with the tire pressure sensor and as of right now my car does not accelerate.

The motor to the lock in the gas tank makes a very loud sound and doesn’t appear to work properly

My car has difficulty starting and shows up that the battery is dead. When I checked the battery, it was fine. My car has a strange smell coming out of the AC, my oil light is on even if the oil is fine and brand new.

Back up camera malfunctioning since the past couple weeks. It displays these colorful artifacts as shown in the attached images. It makes it harder to observes obstructions, cars while backing up.

These cars being known for having very bad fuel injectors. So much so that Honda cannot keep up with the demand for replacement parts. These cars are now being known for blowing head gaskets and having their fuel injectors go bad before 80,000 miles.

Tachometer issues.

On 3 different dates my 2019 honda accord sport had a power failure. I was going about 65 to 70 MPH when each incident occurred. First time was around 12/12/2021.the engine or power shut off, RPM dropped all at once for about a minute then came back to life.

While I was driving in a road with speed limit of 45, somehow, the system was showing the speed limit as 90 MPH. It happened only once.
