WHEN SITTING AT A STOP LIGHT FOR A MINUTE OR MORE WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE AND THE TRANS IN DRIVE WAITING FOR THE LIGHT TO CHANGE , THEN UPON RELEASING THE BRAKE AND NO PRESSURE ON THE GAS PEDAL THE AUTO SURGED FORWARD AT A RAPID SPEED.CAUSING LOSS OF CONTROL AND A REAR END COLLISION WITH THE AUTO IN FRONT OF ME. I RESEARCHED THIS ANOMALY ON LINE AND FOUND A LIST OF TESTIMONY WITH THE SAME COMPLAINT. HONDA DID A DIAGNOSIS OF THIS PROBLEM AND FOUND NO DEFECTS. I'M SCARED TO DEATH TO DRIVE THIS CAR.

I WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE. MY CAR STARTED TRYING TO GO OUT ON ME LIKE IT WASN'T GETTING THE FUEL IT NEEDED OR SOMETHING. I WAS GOING 65MPH AND THEN ALSO WHEN I STOP AT A LIGHT IT TRIES TO IDLE OUT OR IT DOES GO OUT. *TR

DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE ATTEMPTING TO MOVE FORWARD WITH STEADY PRESSURE ON THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, THE VEHICLE SLOWLY ACCELERATED, BUT LURCHED FORWARD AFTER THE SLOW START. ALTHOUGH THE PROBLEM PERSISTED, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT SEEN BY A DEALER. TOOK VEHICLE TO HONDA. WANTED TO REPLACE THROTTLE BODY AND CLEAN INJECTORS FOR $305.00. COST CONTACT JUST TO CLEAN IT, $45.00. TOOK IT TO LOCAL GARAGE, AND THEY CLEANED THE THROTTLE BODY AND LINKAGE AND EVERYTHING WAS FINE. *AK
STICKING ACCELERATOR PEDAL IN A 1999 HONDA ACCORD EX SEDAN 4 CYL AUTOMATIC. THE ACCELERATOR STARTED STICKING AND WOULD RESULT IN A SUDDEN UNSAFE SURGE WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STOP. THE DEALER IDENTIFIED THE PROBLEM AS A CARBON BUILD-UP IN THE THROTTEL BODY WHICH RESULTED IN THE THROTTLE PLATE STICKING.
NEED TO LUBRICATE THE SEAT BELT BUCKLES. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON. FILLER NECK IS BENT. NEED TO REPLACE FUEL PIPE.
WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED AND WITH NO WARNING FUEL TANK CRACKED, CAUSING FLUID TO LEAK OUT, AND IT COULD CAUSE A FIRE. DEALER NOTIFIED.*AK
1.) SOMETIMES WHEN I START THE CAR THE GAS PEDAL STICKS. 2.) WHILE COMING TO A STOP THE CAR SHUTS OFF AS IF THE BATTERY DIED. THE BATTERY IS FINE. 3.) YESTERDAY DUIRING THE DAY THE CAR WOULD NOT START, ACTED AS IF IT WASEN'T GETTING ANY FUEL. THE GAS TANK IS FULL. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPS AND WAITING FOR 15-MINUTES THE CAR STARTED OK. I HAVE SERVICED MY CAR AS REQUIRED.
FUEL GAUGE INCORRECTLY REGISTERS AMOUNT OF FUEL IN TANK. EVEN WHEN FILLED, GAUGE REGISTERS NO MORE THAN 3/4 FULL. OCCASIONALLY REGISTERS FULL IMMEDIATELY AFTER FILLUP, BUT SOON DROPS TO 3/4 OR LESS. *AK
CAR STUMBLES,AND OR HESITATES SINCE FIRST DAY
FUEL GAUGE NEVER READ FULL, ON A FULL GAS TANK. DEALER REPLACED FUEL SENDING UNIT, WHICH RESOLVED THE PROBLEM. DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT BELT GETS CAUGHT ON THE RELEASE LEVER OF THE SEAT-BACK WHILE SEAT BELT IS BUCKLED. THIS SEVERELY RESTRICTS THE OF MOVEMENT OF THE DRIVER. WHEN THIS HAPPENS, I AM STRAPPED VERY TIGHT IN THE SEAT UNTIL I CAN MANAGE TO REMOVE THE SEAT BELT PART THAT IS STUCK TO THE RELEASE LEVER.
