While coming to a stop sign, as I took my foot off the gas pedal, it surged forward at a fast speed the gas pedal went to the floor. it took me through the intersection and beyond before I was able to stop the car. It was very scary just thinking if there were anyone crossing the street it could have been very bad. Now im afraid to even drive my car not knowing if it will happen again.I call the service and cannot get appt. for 2 weeks. and it will be at my expense.

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who was unable to duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was contacted but provided no additional assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 200,000.

LOUD TICKING NOISE COMING FROM ENGINE AT IDLE AND WHILE DRIVING. SOUNDS AS THOUGH VALVES OR ENGINE COULD BE CRACKING.
CAR STALL AT ANY POINT WHILE DRIVING. SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR HAS STALLED ABOUT 10 TIMES. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES AND GOES. I HAD THE CHANCE TO TAKE IT TO AUTOZONE TO CONNECT THE SCANNER WHILE LIGHT WAS ON, AND DIAGNOSTIC CAME WITH TROUBLE CODE P2111. AS I SAID IT CAN HAPPEN AT ANY TIME AT AN UNEXPECTED POINT. IT'S A LITTLE OF PANIC INVOLVED EVERY TIME BECAUSE CARS COMING FROM BEHIND AND I HAVE TO ACT TO QUICKLY TO PUT ON HAZARDS AND MANEUVER THE CAR WHICH START JERKING TOO . DECIDED TO HAVE SAFETY RECALL 16S41 FUEL MODULE DONE ALSO SINCE IT WAS GOING IN FOR WORK. ON SEPT 5, 2017 TOOK TO KEYSTONE FORD CHAMBERSBURG 717-264-5104. AFTER BOTH REPAIRS DONE I WAS STARTING CAR TO LEAVE- HAD VERY LONG CRANK TIME. HAD SERVICE PERSON COME OUT TO HEAR AND HE SAID" SOUNDS LIKE YOUR STARTERS GOING BAD". LEFT FORD AND CAR CONTINUED WITH LONG CRANK TIMES- NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM BEFORE THEY WORKED ON IT. TOOK BACK ON SEPT 8,2017- THEY FOUND NOTHING BUT SAID I NEEDED NEW FUEL PUMP $700.00. I COMPLAINED BECAUSE THEY HAD WORKED ON THE FUEL PUMP AND THEN IT WENT BAD!! CLAYTON BLACK OFFERED ME TO DO THE FIEL PUMP FOR $509 AND NO COST FOR LABOR. ALSO IF NOT FIXED DON'T HAVE TO PAY FOR WORK DONE. WENT TO PARSON'S INTERSTATE FORD SHIPPENSBURG FOR 2ND OPINION. THEY SAID THEY COULD DO THE FUEL PUMP FOR $474 WHICH INCLUDED LABOR! WHEN PARSON'S REMOVED THE FUEL PUMP THEY SAID A RING WAS LOOSE AND WOULD HAVE EVENTUALLY LEAKED GAS- WOULD HAVE BEEN DANGEROUS. KEYSTONE DIDN'T HAVE IT ON CORRECTLY! I WANT KEYSTONE TO PAY FOR THE FUEL PUMP REPAIR THEY CAUSED THE DAMAGE TO- $499.

SIGNIFICANT ENGINE VIBRATION AT IDLE WITH CAR IN DRIVE. ENGINE RPMS APPEAR TO BE TOO LOW WITH LOAD ON ENGINE. I SEE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE ONLINE, SO IT IS A WIDESPREAD PROBLEM THAT SHOULD BE ADDRESSED BY FORD.
WHILE DRIVING MY VEHICLE ON THE HIGHWAY SUDDENLY THE VEHICLE SLOWED DOWN TO A STOP AND STALLED, I WAS IN THE RIGHT LANE OF THE HIGHWAY BECAUSE I WAS ABOUT TO EXIT, I LOOKED AT THE DASHBOARD AND THE RPM WAS AT 0 AND THE BATTERY LIGHT AND THE OIL LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. HOWEVER THE CAR HAD NO POWER I SOMEHOW WAS ABLE TO ACCELERATE THE CAR TO THE HOOD OF THE ROAD. AT THAT TIME I TURNED THE KEY AND REMOVED IT FROM THE IGNITION WAITED A FEW MINUTES AND STARTED THE VEHICLE. AND THE ENGINE STARTED AND I PULLED BACK ON TO THE HIGHWAY TO CONTINUE MY TRIP. I HAVE TAKEN MY VEHICLE TO A FORD SERVICE CENTER AND THEY ARE TRYING TO DUPLICATE THE ISSUE IN ORDER TO SERVICE THE VEHICLE FOR REPAIR. I ALSO HAVE A CASE NUMBER ASSIGNED TO ME BY THE FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT WAS TO BE REFERENCED WHEN I WAS INFORMED BY THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE TO TAKE THE CAR INTO A FORD SERVICE CENTER TO BE LOOKED AT.
THE DRIVER OF THE VEHICLE WAS AT THE CAR WASH. ON THE WAY TO THE CAR WASH, THE VEHICLE WAS JUMPING FORWARD WHILE HE WAS STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN. DRIVER CONTINUED ON TO THE CAR WASH. AS HE WAS PULLING FORWARD AT THE CAR WASH(VEHICLE WAS IN DRIVE), THE VEHICLE STARTED JERKING AGAIN AND WHEN DRIVER PUSHED ON THE BRAKE, THE VEHICLE JERKED BACK ON IT'S OWN AND CRUSHED A BRICK WALL. THE VEHICLE WAS LATER DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS. *JS
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AT 40 MPH AND THE ENGINE BEGAN MAKING RUMBLING NOISES AND THE ENGINE BEGAN TO SHAKE AS IF WERE TRYING TO SHUT OFF, I TRIED TO GIVE IT SOME GAS SO IT WOULDN'T STALL BUT WHEN I PRESSED THE GAS PEDAL NOTHING HAPPENED. ADDITIONALLY, THE CAR SURGES OFF AND ON WHILE DRIVING. WHEN I CONTACTED MIKE DAVIDSON FORD WHERE I PURCHASED THE CAR, THEY ACTED AS IF THEY KNEW NOTHING ABOUT IT AND TRIED TO SCHEDULE ME FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST AT $89 TO DETERMINE THE PROBLEM. THAT'S CRIMINAL, THIS CAR SHOULD BE REPAIRED QUICKLY AND AT THEIR EXPENSE! IF THIS HAPPENS IN HEAVY TRAFFIC OR ON THE INTERSTATE IT WILL BE VERY DANGEROUS. *TR

WHEN MOVING FORWARD FROM A DEAD STOP AT AN INTERSECTION OF A BUSY HIGHWAY, THE AUTOMOBILE ENGINE HESITATES OR SEMI STALLS AND WILL NOT PICK UP NORMAL SPEED IN ORDER TO GET OUT OF THE WAY OF APPROACHING,ON COMING AND FOLLOWING VEHICLES. IT WAS APPROXIMATELY 9AM AND I HAD JUST EXITED THE FREEWAY (BEEN DRIVING FOR ABOUT 20 MIN) AND I TOOK A RIGHT OFF THE EXIT RAMP ONTO A SECONDARY STREET. I WAS GOING ABOUT 40 AND STARTING TO SLOW DOWN FOR A YELLOW LIGHT, WHEN THE CAR JUST DIED. NO WARNING, NO LIGHTS (THAT I REMEMBERED, BECAUSE I PANICKED), NO SOUNDS. I WAS IN THE FAR LEFT LANE AND SO I IMMEDIATELY TRIED TO START THE CAR. NOTHING. NO SOUNDS, NOTHING. I THEN TURNED ON MY FLASHERS. TRIED TO START THE CAR AGAIN, NOTHING. I WAITED ABOUT 3 MIN. AND TRIED AGAIN AND IT STARTED RIGHT UP. IT HAS NOT DONE IT IN THE 2 DAYS SINCE, BUT I AM NOW TO SCARED TO DRIVE ME CAR AFRAID THAT IT WILL DIE AND I WILL CAUSE A CAR PILE UP. WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AT APPROX. 35-40 MPH, MY FORD ESCAPE JUST STALLED. NO WARNING LIGHTS WERE ON PRIOR TO OR AFTER THE INCIDENT.
