TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE JOURNEY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE LOW BEAMS FAILED TO FUNCTION AS WELL AS THE HIGH BEAMS. THE CONTACT HAD TO APPLY THE RUNNING LIGHTS DUE TO THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT ABLE TO BE DRIVEN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE. *TT *TR
DAY TIME RUNNING LIGHTS. THE JOURNEY HAS DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS INSTALLED BUT NOT ACTIVATED. I CONTACTED MY LOCAL DEALER AND WAS TOLD THEY ARE ONLY ACTIVATED IF THE CAR WAS SOLD NEW IN A STATE THAT REQUIRED THEM. THE DEALER SAID THEY CAN ACTIVATE BY HOOKING UP THEIR FACTORY SCANNER BUT IT WOULD COST ME SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY I NEED TO PAY TO HAVE A SAFETY FEATURE THAT WAS INSTALLED AT THE FACTORY ACTIVATED. THERE IS RESEARCH THAT SHOWS DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS SAVE LIVES AND SOME OF THE STATES I TRAVEL TO REQUIRE THAT I TURN ON MY HEADLIGHTS IF I DON'T HAVE DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS. I DISCOVERED THIS RIGHT AFTER WE BOUGHT THE VEHICLE USED.
THE BRAKING SYSTEM MAKES A LOUD CRUNCHING NOISE AND GETS MUSHY WHEN YOU'RE ON A SLIPPERY SURFACE MAKING IT HARD TO STOP.

THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKE PEDAL HIT THE FLOORBOARD WHEN IT WAS DEPRESSED. IN ADDITION, THE HEADLIGHTS INTERMITTENTLY INTERMITTENTLY. ROUGHLY 3 WEEKS AGO, I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK AND MY HEADLIGHTS WOULD NOT COME ON. WHEN I MADE IT HOME, I TRIED TURNING THE LIGHTS OFF AND ON. THEY WOULD POP ON FOR A FEW SECONDS AND THEN GO RIGHT BACK OUT. AFTER A DAY OR TWO, ,Y SON CAME OVER AND CHANGED THE BULBS FOR THE HEADLIGHTS. THEY WORKED FOR ABOUT 3 WEEKS. LAST NIGHT THE SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN. NO HEAD LIGHTS. IF YOU LEAVE THE LIGHTS IN THE ON POSITION, THEY WILL FLASH ON AND OFF AT VARIOUS TIMES. *TR
MY LIGHTS ARE VERY DIM ON THE INSIDE OF THE CAR AND MY FOB JUST STOP WORKING I HAVE WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP TO REPLACE THE BATTERIES HOWEVER IT STILL DOES NOT WORK. MY DRIVER SIDE PASSENGER DOOR IS NO LONGER HOOKED UP TO THE FOB OR THE DOOR UNLOCK/LOCK BUTTON) YOU DO IT MANUALLY
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE JOURNEY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, THE TURN SIGNALS FAILED TO OPERATE AS INTENDED. IN ADDITION, THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS ACTIVATED INDEPENDENTLY. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE HEADLIGHTS REMAINED ON CONTINUOUSLY AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DEALER RESET THE TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE, HOWEVER THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000.
DRIVING ON HIGHWAY AT 5:30 AM WITH HEADLIGHTS ON. BRIGHT LIGHTS (HIGH BEAMS) CAME ON BY THEMSELVES. WOULD NOT TURN OFF. THEN WOULD FLICKER OFF AND ON. HEAD LIGHTS STAY ON. THIS HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES SINCE, PERFORMANCE DODGE (DEALERSHIP WHERE PURCHASED BRAND NEW) SAID THEY HAD NEVER HEARD OF THAT. CHECKED FOR CODES, FOUND NONE. BRIGHT BEAMS HAVE COME ON IN DAYLIGHT WITH NO HEADLIGHTS ON. THIS IS THE SAME CAR I COMPLAINED ABOUT NOT STARTING. STILL HAVE THAT ISSUE, LAST TIME WAS IN FEB 2015. PERFORMANCE DODGE ( WHERE I PURCHASED CAR BRAND NEW) TOLD ME TO CALL A TOW TRUCK FOR A JUMP START. I TOLD THEM THIS WAS THE SAME PROBLEM OVER AND OVER AND THEY WERE AWARE OF IT, IT WASN'T A POWER ISSUE. THIS LAST TIME IN FEB. 2015, THE TOW DRIVER SAID THAT IT WASN'T A POWER ISSUE. HE HAD HIS PARTNER TURN THE IGNITION WHILE HE BARELY TOUCHED A WIRE BUNDLE UNDER THE HOOD. CAR STARTED RIGHT UP. DODGE STILL SAID NO CODES.
TAKING CAR TO LOOK AT, CK ENGINE LIGHT ON. HAD PROBLEMS WITH IT CUTTING OFF ON E'WAY RAMP. TOOK OFF ALL KEYS. MECHANIC TOLD ME CAR WAS BUILT WITH A DEFECT MOTOR. NOTHING HE COULD DO. TAKING TO ANOTHER MECHANIC AND ESP BAS LIGHT AND TRACTION LIGHT COMES ON. *TR

THE CONTACT DISABLED THE FUSE IN ORDER FOR THE WIPERS TO BECOME INOPERATIVE. IN ADDITION, BOTH TURN SIGNALS AND HIGH BEAM HEADLIGHTS FAILED TO FUNCTION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED.
