I WAS PLANNING TO GO TO THE DEALERSHIP AND HAVE THE TWO AIRBAG RECALLS FIXED. BEFORE I HAD THE CHANCE TO DO THAT ,FEBRUARY 22 ,2020, MY VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A MINOR ACCIDENT THAT IS STILL UNDER DISPUTE ,THE DRIVER SIDE AND PASSENGER AIR BAGS BOTH DEPLOYED AND EXPLODED OPEN. THE VEHICLE WAS HIT ON THE LEFT DRIVERS SIDE ON THE FENDER AT LESS THAN 30 MILES AN HOUR THE ONLY AIRBAGS THAT DEPLOYED WERE THE ONES UNDER ACTIVE RECALL. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 DODGE CHARGER. THE CONTACT NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM THE DRIVER SIDE HEADLAMP. THE CONTACT OPENED THE HEADLAMP AND NOTICED FLAMES. THE CONTACT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FRONT BUMPER, BUMPER COVER, SUPPORT BRACKET, PASSENGER SIDE HEADLAMP ASSEMBLY, UPPER TIE BAR, PANEL, AND WIRING HARNESS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. IN ADDITION, THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE AREA BY THE HEADLAMP NEEDED TO BE PAINTED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 158,093.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE REAR AXLE HUB NUT HAD TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 08V295000 (POWER TRAIN). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 170,000.

OUTER TIE ROD ENDS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AT 76,000 MILES. ACCORDING TO THE MECHANIC, TIE ROD ENDS SHOULD LAST TO AT LEAST 150,000 MILES. UPON FURTHER RESEARCH, THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM FOR DODGE CHARGERS BEFORE 100,000 MILES. *TT
EVERYDAY WHILE DRIVING MY 2008 DODGE CHARGER AT ANY RATE OF SPEED, WITH MY FOOT ON THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND ATTEMPTING TO GO FASTER OR IF I AM KEEPING THE VEHICLE AT A STEADY SPEED, THE VEHICLE FEELS AS IF IT WANTS TO HESITATE OR STALL OUT. THE VEHICLE ALSO HAS A HARD SHIFT WHEN SHIFTING INTO DRIVE, REVERSE, NEUTRAL OR PARK AND IT FEELS AS IF THE ENGINE WILL DROP OUT OF THE BOTTOM OF THE VEHICLE ONTO THE GROUND. I BOUGHT A 2008 DODGE CHARGER DAYTONA FROM CHAPMAN DODGE IN LAS VEGAS, NV. THEY SOLD ME THE VEHICLE BRAND NEW WITH 22" TIRES. THE TIRE ARE HITTING THE FENDERS AND CUTTING INTO THE TIRES. I CONTACTED CHRYSLER CORPORATION AND THEY SAID IN AN EMAIL THAT CHRYSLER CORPORATION DOES NOT RECOMMEND THIS SIZE TIRE ON THIS CAR BECAUSE IT WOULD BE A SAFETY HAZARD. I HAD FIVE FAMILY MEMBERS IN THE VEHICLE A COUPLE WEEKS AGO AND NOTICED A NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE AND WHEN I STOPPED TO INVESTIGATE THE LIP OF THE FENDER WAS ALL BENT AND THERE WERE CUTS IN THE TIRE. IF I HAD BEEN ON THE HIGHWAY DRIVING THE SPEED LIMIT OF 70 MPH AND THIS HAPPENED, THE RESULTS COULD OF BEEN TRAGIC. *TR
