DASHBOARD CRACKS ABOVE THE AIRBAG AREA AND ABOVE THE INSTRUMENT COWLING. THE CRACK HAS SLOWLY BEEN INCREASING AND NOW IT IS SO BAD THAT IT WILL HAVE TO BE REPLACED. THIS IS A MANUFACTURER'S DEFECT POSSIBLY FROM OVER-TIGHTENING BOLTS. *TR
MY EMGINE HAD JUST A LITTLE OVER 100000 MILES ON IT AND I ALMOST GOT KILLED ON THE INTERSTATE. FIRST I SAW SMOKE COMING FROM BELOW AND IT LOOKED LIKE IT WAS COMING FROM THE TRUCK NEXT TO MINE. THEN I FELT A STOPPING FEELING IN MY TAHOE. I MOVED QUICKLY TO THE SERVICE LANE AND GOT IT IMMEDIATELY TO MY MECHANIC. I HAVE RECORDS OF REGULAR SERVICES TO MY VEHICLE. I HAD TO REPLACE THE MOTOR $7239.49. I HAD MY ATTORNEY LOOK INTO IT AND MY YEAR PLUS A FEW OTHER YEARS HAD THE SAME PROBLEM BUT THE DEALER NEVER RECALLED IT.
I HAVE 2 LARGE CRACKS IN THE DASHBOARD OF MY 2009 CHEVY TAHOE LTZ. I HAVE ALWAYS KEPT A SUNSHIELD IN THE WINDOW TO REDUCE INTERIOR HEAT AND DAMAGE TO DASH. BUT, THIS DIDN'T WORK. THE DAMAGE HAPPENED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN FRONT OF MY HOME. I BELIEVE THAT THE PROBLEM COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED IF THE MANUFACTURER HAD USED A THICKER MATERIAL (PLASTIC) FOR THE DASH. I LOVE THE VEHICLE. BUT, HATE TO LOOK AT THE CRACKS EVERY TIME I GET IN. I INQUIRED INTO REPLACEMENT OF THE DASH AND WAS GIVEN A ROUGH ESTIMATE OF $1500-1800.

PURCHASED VEHICLE FEB 2012. THE DASH BECAME CRACKED ABOVE STEERING WHEEL WITHIN A YEAR OF OWNERSHIP, HAD DASH REPLACED AT CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP IN MAY 2013. WITHIN 3 YEARS THE NEW DASH STARTED TO CRACK ALSO AND HAS CONTINUED TO CRACK IN MULTIPLE PLACES; ABOVE THE STEERING WHEEL AND AROUND PASSENGER SIDE DASH AIRBAG. WE LIVE WITHIN CITY LIMITS ON PAVED ROADS, WE ALSO HAVE A PAVED DRIVEWAY.

DASH HAS CRACKED IN TWO PLACES. ABOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND AT THE PASSENGER AIRBAG
I REPORTED THIS SEVERAL TIMES TO CHEVROLET I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THEIR RESEARCH. I AM HAVING ISSUES WITH THE BRAKES IN MY CAR. SOMETIMES WHILE BRAKING THE BRAKES WILL AUTOMATICALLY DISENGAGE AND YOU FEEL LIKE YOU ARE BEING THROWN FORWARD. I TOOK THIS TO SEVERAL CHEVY DEALERSHIPS WHILE MY CAR WAS UNDER WARRANTY AND THEY COULD NEVER FIND THE ISSUE. I AM STILL HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM AND SINCE MY WARRANTY EXPIRED THEY TOLD ME, I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE DIAG. I FEEL THAT SINCE I DID REPORT THIS WHILE IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR MORE DIAG. VERY LARGE CRACK ACROSS THE DASH WHILE NOT DRIVING
TAKATA RECALL-THE CAR WAS IN MOTION WHEN I NOTICED THE DASH CRACKED. IT'S CRACKED IN THREE DIFFERENT SECTIONS, I NOTICED THE SAME ISSUE ON OTHER TAHOE'S AND YUKON.
I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE NOW THE DASH TWICE BECAUSE OF SEVERE CRACKING. NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS HAVE BEEN REPORTED.
20759945 FUEL PUMP FLOW CONTROL MODULE HAS A BAD SEAL AND GETS WATER INSIDE IT JUST LIKE THE OTHERS THAT HAVE BEEN RECALLED ON MANY GM VEHICLES INCLUDING MOST OTHER 2009 CHEVY TAHOE'S. THIS IS TERRIBLY DANGEROUS AND I ALMOST WRECKED DUE TO MY VEHICLE NOT RUNNING RIGHT AFTER DRIVING THROUGH A PUDDLE ON INTERSTATE.

LIKE ALL OTHER CHEVROLETS, THE DASH HAS CRACKED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE BY THE AIRBAG. 73223 MILES. UNSURE WHEN EXACTLY IT HAPPENED
CRACKED AND BROKEN DASHBOARD. BROKEN NEAR PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG. IF IN AN ACCIDENT THE DASHBOARD COULD SHATTER SENDING SHARP EDGED HARD PLASTIC INTO OCCUPANTS POSSIBLY PROPELLED BY DEPLOYED AIRBAGS.
MY DASHBOARD HAS LARGE CRACKS EXTENDING FROM THE DRIVER'S SIDE TO THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. I HAVE FEARS THE DASHBOARD WILL BREAK APART AND STRIKE ME OR A PASSENGER IF THE AIRBAGS DEPLOY.
ALL 4 DOOR LOCK ACTUATORS WENT BAD AFTER A SIMPLE SEARCH ONLINE THIS SEEMS TO BE AN ISSUE ACROSS THE BOARD WITH 2008-2010 CHEVY TAHOE AND SUBURBAN. AND A VERY EXPENSIVE REPAIR. THIS IS VERY UNUSUAL FOR ALL 4 LOCKS TO GO AT THE SAME TIME.

DASH BOARD CRACKED AT DRIVERS SIDE . THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE DUE TO DEPLOYMENT OF AIRBAGS.

MY 2009 CHEVROLET TAHOE DASH IS CRACKING WHICH STARTED AT THE PASSENGER AIRBAG. NOW THE CRACKS ARE ON THE DRIVER SIDE. THERE IS ALSO ONE AREA WHERE THE CRACKS HAVE COME TOGETHER AND CAN EASILY EXPOSE THE TRUCKS COMPONENTS UNDER THE DASH WHICH COULD INCLUDE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS. I DO NOT PLACE ITEMS ON MY DASH NOR DO I USE ANY CHEMICALS ON THE DASH IT JUST BEGAN TO CRACK.
DASH CRACKED ABOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL WHILE PARKED OVERNIGHT IN MY DRIVEWAY. WAS NOT COMPROMISED PRIOR TO CRACKING.
PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE NEW IN 2009 IN BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA. IN THE LAST TWO YEARS HAVE NOTICED CRACKS HAVE DEVELOPED ON THE DASHBOARD ADJACENT TO THE VENT OPENINGS ON BOTH THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE. THESE CRACKS APPEAR SIMILAR TO THOSE REPORTED BY OTHERS. THE DASH HAS BEEN CLEANED ROUTINELY WITH ARMOR ALL, WHICH HAS PRESERVED THE CONDITION OF THE DASHBOARDS ON OUR OTHER VEHICLES. RECENTLY THE CRACK ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE HAS BEGUN TO PROPAGATE TOWARD THE STEERING CONSOLE. IT IS NOT JUST UNSIGHTLY BUT CONCERNING, AS OTHERS HAVE RAISED, AS I FEAR THIS MAY IMPAIR THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE AIRBAG SYSTEM.
CRACKS FORMING ON DASHBOARD PANEL, PRESENTS THE HAZARD OF PLASTIC DEBRIS EITHER DEFLATING THE AIR BAG UPON IT'S INFLATION OR DEBRIS FLYING INTO THE FACES OF PASSENGERS. TRANSMISSION DIPSTICK TUBE IS ALSO CRACKED WHICH ALLOWS WATER TO GET INTO THE TRANSMISSION, THIS WAS RECALLED FOR 2008 TAHOE'S BUT NOT 2009.
I PURCHASED A 2009 CHEVY TAHOE USED AND A KNEW ABOUT THE CRACKING DASHES SO I MADE SURE THE ONE I PURCHASED DIDN'T HAVE ANY CRACKS. I THOUGHT MAYBE THEY HAD RESOLVED THE ISSUE. WELL, AFTER FILLING UP WITH GAS THE OTHER DAY I LOOKED OVER AD NOTICED AND CRACK IN MY DASH RIGHT AT THE AIRBAG. THIS IS VERY CONCERNING AS I HAVE 3 KIDS THAT RIDE IN THAT CAR AND IF THE AIRBAG GOES OFF I'M AFRAID THE PLASTIC WILL ACT LIKE SHRAPNEL AND REALLY HURT SOMEONE. GM KNOWS ABOUT THIS AND I CONTACTED THEM ABOUT IT AND THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. MORE PEOPLE NEED TO COME FORWARD ON THIS MATTER AND GM NEEDS TO ADDRESS IT FAST BEFORE SOMEONE GETS KILLED.

DASHBOARD CRACKS - THE VEHICLES DASHBOARD HAS SEVERAL EXTENSIVE CRACKS. THIS STARTED OCCURRING IN 2011 AND HAS GOTTEN WORSE OVER THE YEARS. NOW A SECTION HAS COMPLETELY BROKEN OFF. THE DEALERS REFUSE TO ADDRESS THIS.
MY DASH IS HORRIBLY CRACKED ALL THE WAY ACROSS
CRACKED DASHBOARD AND SPREADING - MY 2009 DASHBOARD HAS LARGE CRACKS IN SEVERAL PLACES AND IS NOW EXPOSING THE ELECTRICAL UNDERNEATH. NOT ONLY DO I FIND THIS VERY ALARMING SEEING AS THE AIRBAGS ARE UNDERNEATH BUT THE PROBLEM IS ONLY GETTING WORSE , IN MOTION OR NOT , AND THE RATTLING SOUNDS OF ALL THE PIECES HAVE BECOME SUPER ANNOYING. GM THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED AND FIXED! TAKE CARE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS!!!!
BOTH DOOR HANDLES ON DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE ARE THIS SILVER PLASTIC THAT HAS BEGAN TO PEEL UP JUST ON TOP OF THE HANDLE EXACTLY WHERE YOU GRAB TO OPEN THE DOOR. MYSELF AS WELL SEVERAL PEOPLE HAVE SLICED THEIR FINGER OPEN PRETTY BAD ON MY DOOR HANDLES. VERY POOR QUALITY.

VERY COMMON ISSUE FROM WHAT I HAVE READ. VEHICLE GARAGE KEPT. CRACKS OCCUR IN SAME LOCATION ON HUNDREDS OF CHEVROLET VEHICLES.
DASH HAS CRACKED BY DRIVER SIDE.
THERE IS A LARGE CRACK IN THE DASHBOARD RUNNING PARALLEL WITH THE FRONT WINDSHIELD OF THE CAR. IT EXTENDS FROM DRIVER SIDE TO PASSENGER SIDE UP TO THE AIRBAG ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. IT ALSO SPLITS IN TWO SEPARATE AREAS OFF THE HORIZONTAL CRACK. ONE ABOUT 2 INCHES PERPENDICULAR TO THE LARGE CRACK NEAR THE DRIVER SIDE AND ANOTHER PERPENDICULAR CRACK CLOSER TO THE PASSENGER SIDE THAT EXTENDS 1-2 INCHES AWAY FROM THE LARGER CRACK. MY CAR HAS BEEN STORED IN THE GARAGE FROM DAY ONE. I DID NOT NOTICE HOW LONG AGO THIS CRACK BEGAN.

DASH HAS STARTED CRACKING MORE STARTED ON TOP BY GAUGES AND NOW HAS ANOTHER CRACK BY AIRBAG ON PASS SIDE. CALLED DEALERSHIP SAID ITS OUT OF WARRANTY GM WONT COVER IT, ALTHOUGH ITS MANUFACTURED DEFECT.
THE DASHBOARD OF MY 2009 CHEVROLET TAHOE IS CRACKED IN THE PASSENGER SIDE WHERE THE AIRBAG IS LOCATED. I SEE MANY CHEVY TAHOE OWNERS WITH THE SAME ISSUE BUT THERE IS NO RECALL YET AND IT SEEMS THAT THIS PROBLEM COULD NOT ONLY GET WORST BUT POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS BASED ON THE LOCATION OF THE CRACK.

IN OCTOBER OF 2015, I WAS DRIVING MY 2009 CHEVROLET TAHOE ON A CITY STREET DURING NORMAL WEATHER CONDITIONS. AS I WAS SITTING AT A RED LIGHT, I HEARD A LOUD "POP" NOISE THAT I ORIGINALLY THOUGHT CAME FROM AN OBJECT HITTING THE WINDSHIELD. UPON FURTHER REVIEW, I NOTICED MY DASHBOARD HAD INEXPLICABLY CRACKED IN 2 PLACES. THE CRACKS ARE RATHER LARGE AND I AM CONCERNED THIS WILL JEOPARDIZE THE DEPLOYMENT OF THE AIRBAGS. I CONTACTED THE LOCAL CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THEY WERE NOT AWARE OF ANY RECALLS REGARDING THIS MATTER.
CRACKED DASH. GM IS OFFERING NO HELP. THEY ACT LIKE THEY HAVEN'T HEARD OF THE PROBLEM. MY DASH IS CRACKED ABOVE THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND STARTING TO BY THE PASSENGER AIRBAG.
MY DASH IS CRACKED ACROSS HUMP OVER SPEEDOMETER GAUGES AND CRACKED ON SIDE OF PASSENGER AIRBAG. JUST GOT IN MY CAR ONE MORNING TO NOTICE THE DASH CRACKED IN TWO PLACES. WORRY ABOUT IT CRACKING MORE AND IF PASSENGER AIRBAG GOES OFF, POSSIBLY SOME PIECES BREAK OFF AND FLY WITH AIRBAG.

THEN AT APPROX 85,000 MILES I HAD A HUGE CRACK DEVELOP AND SPREAD ON MY DASH RIGHT BEHIND MY STEERING WHEEL. THIS CRACK HAS BEGUN TO GET BIGGER. I HAVE CONTACTED MY DEALERSHIP AND GM.
DASH BOARD HAS CRACKED OVER THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND OVER THE GLOVE BOX AREA. NO REASON FOR THIS TO HAPPEN.
