Sometimes the steering wheel moves with the tires, and other times it feels like the steering has temporarily disconnected — this happened multiple times on a highway at 55 mph, including one instance where you were jerked toward oncoming traffic. No warning lights or messages appeared, and the issue just started at 36,000 miles. A mechanic will need to inspect the steering system components to identify what's causing the sudden movements.
