2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Brakes Problems

I was driving on the street when suddenly the truck stopped completely by itself without me pressing the brake, I put it in neutral and put it back in forward, it went about 30 feet and stopped by itself suddenly again and the dashboard panel did not have any warning signs that indicated that something was wrong.

Traveling on the highway at 70 MPH the rear wheels (brakes) locked up nearly causing a collision. I found a couple of recalls notices for 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500, but nothing posted for 2019 Chevy Silverado. The vehicle was taken immediately to the dealership for evaluation and repair.

I was driving going around a corner when I experienced total system brake failure as deer ran across the road and I had to swerve into a ditch to avoid them. I had service esc , trailer brake system failure and a total brake system failure show on my dash along with check engine lights and other lights I was unaware what their purpose was.

I've brought my vehicle in to a gm certified chevrolet dealership to get it's oil changed and along with that they informed me of completing a safety recall pertaining to it's brakes. The next day after the recall had been done my brakes had gone soft and my dash lit up with several different messages. Service esc, service trailer brake system, and brake system failure 62 MPH top speed.

July 2024 my 2019 Chevrolet Silverado got a message of 'brake system failure will not go over 43 mph'. Computer reset twice by local tire dealership. On Thursday September 26, 2024, while driving breaks STOPPED working. Vehicle would not come to a complete stop. Brake pedal hit the wall and still not working. Had to release the gas in order to put the vehicle into a complete stop. UNSAFE, VEHICLE COULD NOT BE DRIVEN. ALMOST CRASHED. Had to get a wrecker to tow it home.

The automatic parking brake would not release several times when I had it parked in my driveway. My driveway as a very small incline (~3%), but the auto parking brake will come on. The several times it stayed on, the orange 'service parking brake' light was on and a service engine light.

Service parking brake warning keeps coming on while vehicle is moving. It's already been to be serviced and there is no current fix per the dealer.

I am an oil field inspector and in my truck all day long. When shifting into drive from a stopped position and start moving forward, the back brakes lock up and the parking brake light comes on for the brakes locking up. This is the 2nd time it has happened and a dealership in portland tx replaced the computer and master cylinder.

Twice when pulling a small empty trailer recently, I came to a stop sign and had almost no braking power. The brake pedal was hard as concrete with almost no travel and I had to stand on it to stop the truck which rolled into the intersection both times. Around dec 15th, I was notified of a new recall related to the braking system: n192268090 brake system malfunction warning. I immediately scheduled an appt with my local chevy dealer to get this recall fixed. I took it in on 12/17.

A message on the dashboard showed that the wear sensor wasnt working correctly. After driving it and letting it sit parked, when I went to drive it again there was error messages on the screen showing that brake system failure and to service the ESC. You can reproduce the problem because I tried disconnecting the battery and the message doesn’t go away.

While driving at 25 MPH, all 4 brakes locked up. This happened 4 times then the truck was parked. I was turning on a state highway .
