Your BMW X5's Parking Assistant Professional automatically backed your vehicle into a stationary wall without any audible or visual warnings, causing damage to the rear window, tail light, and paint. The system continued reversing until impact occurred, and BMW determined the system operated as designed but acknowledged sensor limitations. The main concern is that an automated parking system reversed into a fixed obstacle without alerting you or disengaging before impact.
